I enjoy your excitement when you share your racing experiences. Don't apologize for talking about them when they aren't Indycar. You may be introducing fans to other forms of racing. Really enjoying hearing interviews from the winners. Some really great prospectives from them.
Conor, I'm usually a listener on Spotify, but wanted to come on here to thank you for your openness regarding the emotions of being on the sidelines of full-time racing. I'm in the music field, and I'm in a similar spot of knowing my abilities, but also being on the outside looking in at some of the opportunities I'd absolutely love to do. Keep on being awesome, and that full-time seat will come!!
Best show yet! The NASCAR races rundowns were truly informative and entertaining. Conor's passion for the sport came through clearly, and I hope somebody with a good race team recognizes the talent they've been overlooking and offers him a ride. The interview with Colton was short but sweet. I didn't realize anybody still used the term "gnarly." I won't be using it myself, but it was fun to hear. Keep up the good work.
Man... Going from Indycar to NASCAR and even racing on dirt... Only a few other amazing race car drivers like Larson, Allmendinger, Andretti and Foyt have done that. What a year so far!!! Please keep thrilling us with your talent! We'll be watching and listening to your amazing stories.
Conor please tell me that during the truck race you saw me helping You out every lap. And that you heard us yell for you during the parade lap. I’m so happy for you and want you to race in xfinity full time
Future guest suggestion like you asked.... I really would like to hear some smaller team owner or someone in there who knows ( Foyt , Coyne...) how it is to run a small team in Indycar. Everything that goes in it 😊👍 ...or Alonso !! Then you could talk Indy 500 too.
Always thought Colton was the best driver who just couldn't finish races. He's altering my mindset this year! Would love for him to stay in IndyCar but if he ever went to F1, you know damn well who I'm heavily rooting for!
Honestly, this might be your best episode. Top 5 for sure. Loved hearing about the learning process in the stock car. And keep talking about it. Race fans need to quit with the tunnel vision. It's okay to like both IndyCar and NASCAR. And IMSA. And F1. And the local dirt track.
More Xfinity driving I hope, it's a great formula, good job out there Conor do it again. Great racing between you and SVG, should 've been a top 10 for you as well!...Go Xfinity I hope...Herta is the most humble driver in IndyCar more success and congrats to him.
Love this eposide!! Sounds like such a cool experience! Loved the Indycar race! I do have a suggestion for a interview! You should interview Graham Rahal! One of my many favorite Indycar drivers!
Started my Christmas wish list… more motor sports racing for Conor. Selfishly, IndyCar is top of my list. Conor, you’ve certainly broadened my motor sports viewing this year 😎 I’ve been a proud IndyCar snob for years, but I watch all of your forays into those foreign forms of racing. Your enthusiasm in any sort of racing is incredible. Any news about the T1D space project you mentioned some months ago? Some how that seems safer than flipping motorcycles 🙈
Toronto was great !! Also ofcourse to hear your busy weekend with all the twists and turns was fun even that airport stuff is not so fun when your in it for sure😅 In the future...when there is a moment that there is no races, can you do an full q/a episode someday ?? Cheeeeers!!
I ended up here solely because of Jamie Chadwick's win in NXT. I subbed because I learn something new every time. Motor racing is motor racing, and the skills are transferrable from one discipline to another. Fascinating to hear how you adapted to Xfinity and trucks. I expect I'd enjoy listening to you talk about racing lawnmowers!
Great episode. Loved hearing about your travel debacle and all the different races. At the very least, I’d say you raised some eyebrows in the Xfinity Series, so kudos for that. As for a guest suggestion, how about Graham? I know he’ll talk college football as well as IndyCar, and maybe we could get an update on John Force as well. Then there’s always the future of RLL with the upcoming driver change, and his Rahal Performance shop too. Love the podcast, and thanks for sharing your stories! 👍
Conor I was one of the guys yelling as the starting line during the parade at the big track. Me and Clint cheered every lap at raceway park and the big track. Im a huge fan of speed street and every race you run. Keep digging Conor.
I had a fireworks shoot Saturday (later canceled) or I would have offered picked you up and make the overnight burn to Indy. The Indycar race was as expected minus some airborne moments. The truck race was what it was but you buddy drove an injured car like a beast on Saturday. I'll have to tune into Chase's simulcast next go around.
Damn! Conor can talk! Painted an incredible image of all of his races! Very descriptive! Excellent job! I also love to watch him race! He's a sponge for knowledge. Amazing talent!
Loved this podcast! I was so interested in how it would all play out. You talked a lot about steering and weight differences but curious about gearing. Is there a lot of nuances between various series and tracks that you have to learn or is it something you just inherently know based on rpm, etc?
lots of differences for sure, even trucks to xfinity. Rev limiter is around 7400 in trucks compared to xfinity the engine revs out to 8800 for 1st to 2nd gear. but once you're in 4th for both thats where you live under green flag conditions
I thought Conor did really well at Indy. Hopefully it will lead to more opportunities. I'm a European and I like both Indycar and Nascar. That Xfinity race was very good.
Toronto is not the best race to watch imo. NIce to see Colton win again. I enjoyed watching you and Marco going back and forth. Pretty good since he has more experience in the noncompetitive trucks in those races. That Xfinity race was fun. You did great at a race you were learning. Sure hope you get more rides. But that depends on sponsors and money. Maybe you can get Jr's eye fpr an Xfinity ride.
I would like to see you have Mario Andretti or Bobby Rahal on the show. Get us some old school guests and get their opinions on current Indy Car and the hybrid system.
Thank you! I think I mentioned it a couple times in the last couple episodes but yes I was on the TRD sim twice before the Xfinity race over the weekend. Nothing for the truck though.
As much as i admire Scotty Mac going from Super v8s in Australasia to indycar in the USA. If I'm Gibbs or Hendricks or Rouce or Hass oe Penske I'm getting a new 3 car cup team with Daley SVG and SCotty Mac as wheelman.
