Pelican is probably the most well known case company on the planet, and they have now developed new quick detach cargo cases for all of the gear you have thumping around your truck. This is in fact a new product, as Pelican is sort of rereleasing these (previously launched right before Covid). The warranty is everything to me. Happy to buy expensive products when I never have to buy it again. I’ve actually used their warranty for latches on a really old 1610 and it was a very brief phone call, parts were in the mail with no hassle whatsoever.

@@IndependenceOverland I use their flashlights, even got a replacement for one I got for 5 dollars that was trashed at a garage sale. Waiting to get a cooler.

Hi, awesome video! I was just wondering about that bx90r on the rooftop mount, do you know if that mounting system allows to be re oriented perpendicularly rather than front to back?

I believe it can be, but it needs a roof rack cross rail underneath it. Some modification may be necessary to your rack setup. I plan to do it this way as well.

Gas struts should be standard and why are the mounting systems just about the same cost as the boxes themselves. I get there’s a lifetime warranty, quality assurance is cool but expensive product all around.

Nice video man, I Just Subbed. This is interesting to see, I have the BX 90 on my 2022 Tacoma with the original mount and it is trash! makes me sad to say that as I have used Pelican/Storm products for a very long time. My video will be out soon on that.

Yeah I think that was a big inspiration for the relaunch was the mounting, because we did talk about that a bit before the cameras were on and they are really excited about the new mounting systems. And thanks for the sub 🙏. Looking forward to your video!

@@IndependenceOverland right on! I hope it’s better because I’m really disappointed and sad about they mount I have. I have been a long time Pelican fan but the mount I have is not anything I would recommend to anyone at all.

glad to hear ur's not broken into. ppl break into cars on regular here in california. at times they'll shoot at you if you try to approach them. my cars been broken into multiple times. cops wont help as they can't do anything. Thank God I got a big yard. park everything inside now.
