I loved RoF back in college. Then I heard this song as the opening of Goblin Slayer Abridged, and I absolutely fell back into it. When metal is in your soul, it never really leaves you.

I love how the song isn't about some crazy heroic feat the group accomplished, but simply that they were going someplace to do something heroic. Like that group in that universe is so legendary that even them just walking to their destination is worthy of song.
@@SeichiTsurugami The good ones end up paying for the bad. I do agree that there may be good goblins, but there are too many risks to take, trying to figure out which is which.
Wait, is there always a song hidden a the end of their albums? I haven't heard them in YEARS but I remember the 15 min track "Gargoyles Angels of Stone" being neatly tucked away, only discoverable if you loaded the cd into a media player (ah the days of yore). While the lyrics get a little deep/dumb that track had amazing guitar work. For this one, I love the transitions between classic sound and metal. And yeah, Goblins brought me here.
Funny thing is, me and 3 friends love playing RPGs, so we picked up NeverWinter, the MMORPG version of D&D (to an extent) and hillariously enough, we played as, A Human, a Dragonborn (no not like Skyrim...) a Dwarf and an Elf, and we were not aware of this song nor had anyone seen Goblin Slayer (at the time) so this basically became our themesong once it came to our attention :P
Reminds me of My DND campaign that contained, massive battles, epic last stands of guardsman, explosives trolls, breaking of a dice tower to symbolise the thing players destroyed, witches almost using our Orc Warrior as demon bait, and ending with a massive fight with a monster who made players roll a will save every turn Fun game
