a new start - a work update and being a bit emotional
I am starting a new job and there’s been quite a few changes these last couple weeks! It’s exciting and intimidating, but overall a gift! I was a bit sad this week due to people I love struggling to find contentment and their place in this world. However, I wanted to make a video about enjoying simple, slow living despite things weighing on us - that all we really have for sure in the present, and we should enjoy that and not allow our worries to run away with us - instead, we can offer some of the love in our hearts to those around us! And just like that, we were able to enjoy the day in a new way, while offering a bit of that joy to those who are having a hard time. Sending so much love.

I am starting a new job and there’s been quite a few changes these last couple weeks! It’s exciting and intimidating, but overall a gift! I live on a 300- acre cattle farm and feel so blessed by this slower quieter life. I also struggle with major concern for family that are struggling. I bring my baby grandson here as often as possible. Thank you for reminding me...I don't bake much but I am inspired to make my blueberry croissants! Yum!!

Your videos have been a blessing for me. Mom lost her battle to cancer 2 months ago and I use your videos as a way to getting to that zone that calms me down. Sending blessings your way! Praying for peace and that your young friends find their way. As a mother I understand how hard it can be finding your true on these challenging times. But like my mom used to say. A heart felt emotional hug to you. We lost our mom to cancer last November, at times it can be a struggle, for sure, but one foot in front of the other, is the way to go, as my mom also said.

I appreciate every video you post Paola. You are a beautiful soul, inside & out. I could see in your eyes when you looked at the camera that something was wrong. Your demeanor doesn't change, however you know our eyes are the windows to our soul. There are many people going through hard times. I don't know 1 person who isn't experiencing something that is difficult at the present times. My heart goes out to everyone who needs a hug & a prayer. I am included in this group of people as well. I stayed home from work today. You don't need to water plants in a nursery (outside) when it's been rainy. I'm not up to weeding today. Instead of driving 15 miles to the gran store for birdseed and eating lunch out, I'm leisurely cleaning a corner of my guest room and taking a walk. Where I live there are currently plenty of wildfires going now at the moment. There is one in 6 of the nearest towns (including my own), and I very much hope we do not need to evacuate as others have had to do already. We all thank you dear Paola, from the depths of our hearts. Because you always remind us of what's important. because you remind us that it is possible to live more calmly and in a gentle and serene way. The "non-effort" effort has to be ours, in a conscious and present way, since society / matrix will always suck our Soul at full speed, making us believe that pressure is inevitable and that being productive and agile comes before everything else. Do not come. This is the truth we learn over time, as we disassociate more and more from the collective and live true to the will of our spirit and the rhythm of our Soul. As someone with a disabling chronic illness and very limited energy, I can safely say that it is urgent to unlearn all the "quickness" and effectiveness conditioning that still lives in the unconscious of almost all of us.

How wonderful for young people like yourself and many in your audience to learn from your journey the life of managing an empath personality. I am one as well. Unfortunately, in my young years, not many people understood our particular gifts. We were labeled so many untruthful things. My journey has been hard but fruitful, as I educated myself and gave my soul permission to express my authenticity the way the Creator designed me. Quiet, and unchatty days are just seasons when the current underneath our river of life becomes stronger. It is imperative to listen to that inward shift to stillness. I have found that our emotional current is much more constructive and soothing to our inner needs when we stop and let the flow move through us. For each, it is a different amount of time. Thank you. It's a great reminder that everyone goes through challenges and difficulties no matter how "perfect" their home and life appears to be. Compassion is something that should be extended to everyone, including ourselves. Rushing through life is a definite modern theme. You show the hard parts of 'cottage core 'life too and that is so good. The romantic fairy-like side is depicted on social media but you are very honest about living alone, being snowed in etc. It is a good balance and does not over-romaniticise the life that could mislead people. I lived the cottage core life as a young child staying with my nan who had pigs and chickens and an outside toilet which was two holes in a wooden seat lol. Such happy memories, plant pots everywhere and an orchard with plums pears and apples. I read Grimms Fairy tales and ate home made baking and played in cornfields and meadows galloping on sweeping brushes and using my imagination to invent amazing adventures. These videos show you need to be a certain personality to live the basic simple life. It needs to feel right in your soul as we have become accustomed to an easier life. I believe we can recreate it wherever we are and if we use our imaginations it can be amazing for our holistic well-being `:)

I so relate to so much of what you shared here - I make RU-vid videos in a similar spirit as you and for the last year have been living and traveling on the road with my two cats - mostly staying in magical nature spaces. This month I am house sitting for some dear friends in a large city and to say that it has been a shock to my system would definitely be a bit of an understatement. What you said about the cars rushing, only to get to a stop sign seconds before you is so true... The slower and more at home within myself I come the more the world around us feels more and more intense in a way that doesn't feel congruent with softness and gentleness and... I have a lot of feelings about that. But thank you for continuing to show up as a beacon of light and reminder for all of us gentle souls. Your thoughts are not reasonless. You are correct about the driving and the automobiles. I cannot drive any more because driving scares me. I am 65 years old and I am over it. Yes it is very hard to watch your loved ones go through hard times. Glad you are working at the book store again. It is where you enjoy working.
