I really love the idea of the thyla pack. So the smaller one could have a saddle but you can craft armour for it. So it's more worthwhile to saddle up the alpha. Then having a pack that does increased damage to corrupted creatures, or has an element frenzy would make them more useful for extinction but not OP for the other maps, where they would be more like sabers (no bleed). Also, I love the cats and wolves in Ark because they're cute.
I don’t know if it is just me, but this is one of the hardest creature votes, because every creature is unique has so many awesome gimmicks that work so well with extinction and they all are such awesome creatures, real or in game, that’s just my opinion for this vote.
I think that my favorite is to my surprise thylacosmilus, I think the idea of having a massive army of unrideable dinos led by a mounted alpha in a mass scale battle for the orbital supply drops sounds like it could be really cool and work with some of the more unique aspects of extinction.
@@samfish2550 the unrideable ones without a saddle are way too squishy and vulnerable. The guy needs to give them an unrideable saddle that gives them armor or something similar to hyaenadon or they’re going to get smoked both in pve and especially pvp
I am once again proposing my quetzal TLC: speed increases with altitude. Make it the best creature for transporting super long distances. The time it takes to gain that altitude isn’t worth it for short trips, but if you are crossing a whole map the speed you pick up makes it the fastest thing on the ark.
I'm down for that. Maybe make it less pure speed and a balance of speed and stamina. Basically being the effective travel distance of argi with the speed being less than ptera but still on the higher end. Maybe tied with ptera.
I do like this, but when it comes to transportation would it have weight reduction or just really, really high base weight? I also wish the type of saddle would influence the stance, a normal saddle would allow a quetz to stand up, like it would in real life, maybe giving it more mobility or damage, or types of attacks
What about an autopilot function? Set a destination and the quetz rises to that altitude then flies on it own toward the destination only descending once within a certain range
Yeah. I wish he threw less hate at the thylacosmilus, like it arguably is one of the best fit in interesting use of the elements shmuch and in the fact that it's basically made to make a massive army that could be really fun to toss against the hordes of Dino's at the supply drop.

Been hoping for YEARS that we could get a new large herbivore or sauropod. I really like the options presented here and would love to see a new bronto or larger sized herbivore added!
@@jinniptions7596 Amarga isnt exactly a large sauropod. Its a dwarf sauropod. Definitely not much compared to dread or the other sauropod in terms of size.
I once had a ridiculously overpowered wyvern that I had about 75 levels mutated into melee and health, I brought it to the pit to slaughter corrupted gigs and rexes for xp, as I was killing my first one, my game crashed, I come back to my wyvern at 800 health (from 25k) and like 10 friendly gigas that is lost from a previous titan fight just ripping through everything in the trench, I've never been more proud and proceeded to name every giga, My Hero.
I'm down for the 2 Sauropods! As much as I also am interested in Sauroposeidon which would be a wonderful addition to a band buffing dino we need a big guy like Dreadnoughtus that not only can tank really good, and is another additional battleship creature but can also threaten our Tek Alpha Tribe Overlords!
Ozi is not a maewing but venomous; it is specifically anti-flier. It has a lot of strengths to take fliers and Manas out of the air. Sapping stamina to get an advantage. There's TONS of fliers in the city! It'll be able to pick out and shred the pesky fliers during OSDs! Sauro has a mini game and you build up momentum with attacks to the beat- and each different attack gives boosts to allies. Also it doesn't have a set time- you set it. Thus you could go to the beat of just about any song! Thylacosmilus has an ability to make weaknesses in targets to attack, dealing a lot of damage for a time. Need to fully read all of these entries, a lot of details are missed out on them- a LOT. To the point that the main features of dinos are being missed! Thylacosmilus especially! No mention of their weak point mechanics.
i dont think reading the entries should affect one's choice, best example being that rhyniognatha thing, original dossier labeled it as the single dino that has the most abilities in the game and i think just a bit over half of them made it into the actual game
I kinda like the goofy lizard thing, and here’s why: extinction has those huge towers in the city. I want to jump on fliers from those. Also they’re really funny looking.
I don’t see why no one wants the gorgonops. Especially for this map since it fits the aesthetic of Extinction with the futuristic wasteland vibe. It lived on earth during a period when vast deserts dominated the land. Also Primeval anyone?
Personally i dont think it does. I get its a wasteland but the “corrupted” version had literally no creativity thought into it. Also its just another mid-sized carnivore that we have loads of. But yh speaking my opinion on it
Yeah. Tbh it's my number 1, I think that having a dino basically designed as what I'd imagine as being like a more specialized mix of a dire wolf and a yuti sounds just really fun to engage in massive hours on hord wars for orbital supply drops.
I really like the idea of having a physically distinct alpha variant instead of just a pack boost effect, we already have unique male/female variations on some creatures so I think it would be a really nice spin on that
People need to watch primeval specifically gorgonopsid vs future predator to see why people want the gorgonops. Also its one of the most famous animals from the Permian period .
Yeah at this point I'm caring less about what map it's based on, and more about what use I'd have for it on the map I'm playing on. Since we're getting plenty of winners that don't really have much value to gameplay.
i love syntac but i kinda wish he was slightly less bias on these creature votes. its good to have opinions and stuff but it would be more cool to hear his views after the vote is over, just because how massive his audience is compared to other ark creators so it could sway the vote. still love syntac but just wish he would voice his opinions after the vote
I am definetely putting the two sauropods up top, i really hope one of them wins, the hatzegopteryx is also really dope and i've always liked it but i feel like it would fit a lot better in crystal isles, so i'd save it for that map
It would help if you would read their entries, the lizard guy supposedly can help in osd, and with Wyverns. If you would read the entries then you wouldn’t have to say stuff like “don’t see how it can help in extinction”
Tbh the in-game titan is literally based on dreadnaughtus, I'd say that the first sauropod is at least a more unique option that would feel more distinct from what we already have.

Syntac I feel you overlooked the Darwin. It actually can help fight a Titan or even the king Titan because one of its abilities is it’s slash makes the target take more damage from anything tek or element. That means from tek weapons, saddles, or the mek gun. So megamek would do more damage to king Titan. It’s good support

I personally hate how all these creature votes are now just about who comes up with the most radically different ability for their creatures. I thought we were supposed to vote based on the creature and not the potential abilities... Yeah and honestly some of these abilities are just plain stupid.
Your supposed to vote on the creatures themselves because WC almost always ends up changing them gameplay wise. The only people who vote for the abilities are PVP players who want another creature they can abuse in game breaking Way's
Not usually big on the 'new big dinosaurs', but both the dreanoughtus and sauroposiden seem really fun. But Im leaning towards the Saurop, purely for the concept, because i suspect the devs will keep most of it. Great design too. Works fine with the map too. A lot of cool stuff, Darwinopterus is good. But a lot of cool and unique concepts. The aerosteon is wild with its design honestly. The additions to the spider also make me actually really like it now. Really suits the map. I think for me, Saurop, Spider, Darwin, weird glider, Aero. But these are all good concepts.
I mostly agree except for still being like.... positive eh on the spider. One thing I will say is that I love the idea of thylacosmilus. Syn wrote it off but having something that is really geared into having a large number of unmounted dinos being something efficient and good without just being a rex horde sounds really fun and I think would fit really well in orbital supply drops raids, you're own army fighting the relentless horde. Plus the size giving a sort of "underdog vs the world" feel to it just seems really fun and novel and most notable to me is a gimmick that is well suited for this map without being so specialized as to feel worthless elsewhere.
So why not just have an army of thylacoleos? They're plenty strong and easy to tame AND all of them can have a saddle, meaning if the one you're riding isn't going to make it, you can get onto another one @@samfish2550
Yeah I personally don't like the dreadnoughtus idea because it's concept is absolutely broken, but the sauroposeidon seems usable on a regular basis, but not absolutely broken and still an interesting concept.
I think the music trope is really cheesy. Definitely a PvEer submission lol And the Spider was always awesome, but in this vote it's taken a nose-dive... turret saddle is a terrible idea, especially since that concept art is an automatic turret, not a player operated one. So that would cripple pvp. Ark pvp needs more counter-play, not more broken metas.
Thank god someone finally said it, the Quetzal is one of the ugliest creatures in ARK. It needs a TLC badly, and i feel like the Theri does as well. I really liked Jurassic World's version of the Theri and i'd like to at least see a mod with a similar version. Definitely vanilla Quetzal is in dire need of a makeover though.
@@Czermet666 oh yeah definitely. The Paleo Giga is the goat, I don't even want wildcard to try and improve their Giga, they should just ask to use the Paleo Giga instead. It's sad that most modders make better stuff than the devs.
At this point the hatze is starting to seem like the giant bison, which is kinda surprising cause it seems like something a lot of people would put high up
Difference is that Hatze is being resubmitted by different people every single time. we didn't expect for the Hatze to make the top 10 in the center and we were already pretty much done making ours for Extinction, before the Center it was on Scorched (I think?) and The Island where it got second after Rhyniognatha. Also every Hatze thus far has been vastly different while the Bison and Gorgonops by extension are being resubmitted by the same guy every time (well Gorgonops past 3 times)
I know it’s probably not gonna win but I think the ozimek would be hilarious to have in the game because it’s basically literally a flying crack head that you tame by giving it drugs
Edmontonia and Sauroposiedon are my top two for sure. Also, I love the Gorgonops. They should just put it in the game. And I just don’t see the jumping spider fitting on extinction. It would have been a good fit for Abb.
I wish there were more spiders and sauropods in ark, but I love spiders so I put it in #1. Don't worry, I put the Dreadnoughtus in #2, so if the jumping spider doesn't make it, the Dreadnoughtus will.
Sounds like people are leaning towards dreadnoughtus, which is kinda disappointing because it kinda feels like the same situation as the carch and rhynio where it's so broken that people want it, don't get me wrong I like rhynio and carch but I feel like a more balanced concept would be cooler.
Agreed. This kinda creature is going to be redundant since it will either replace brachi and titano completely or only brachy and or become the new anti boss stat stick putting out rexes or be forgotten because it's worse. Sauroposidon just makes it feel even worse seeing the dreadnaughtus getting all the attention because it has a design that feels both more unique and more sauropod-like as well as filling a more interesting niche that could be easier to balance around.

Dreadnoughtus irl weighs about 30-40 tons and Brachi can weigh up to 40 tons, but some specimens suggest even larger size, around 50-62 tons afaik, I can be wrong but that's what I remember Oh and also, I hope that Sauroposeidon or Dreadnoughtus wins, I am pretty biased towards sauropods
I think an ability that could make sense for the Dreadnoughtus with its large size and weight, which would also make it really useful to fight the King Titan with, would be to make it completely immune to all knockback like, make it the one creature that's so heavy that not even the King Titan can knock it far enough back to keep it from reaching and attacking it (much less launching it out of its arena as it likes to do with your Gigas) Also feel like a better idea for the jumping spider than mounting turrets on it would be to give it an ability to maybe stun corrupted creatures for a short moment. Like, you know how peacock spiders flare up their colorful behinds like peacocks? Give it something like that and make its markings specifically affect corrupted creatures so that if you get cornered by corrupted creatures you can use its ability to flare up its markings to stun them and keep them from attacking long enough to literally jump out of dodge and get away or maybe even make them back off for a moment (could be useful to buy at least a few more precious seconds in defending orbital supply drops as well)
Personally I find Extinction to be a negative turning point for Ark, becoming less about dinos & survival and more about standardising tek & breaking the game with OP meta mechanics.
No offense to the Sauropods…but Edmontonia would be better to me personally, as it would be the SECOND Ankylosauia and the FIRST Nodosauridae in the game.
Yeah I think people forget that having 3 representatives of a broader category is a very large number considering most have 1 or 2 at max. They outnumber tyrannosaurids and only fall behind if you could allo and carno as a "large theropod" group. Stegosaurs and kentro give that group (idk what to call it) 2, Raptors are yet again 2. No group of mammals has more than 1 unless you are just counting dire wold and hyenadon as "dog like" again that makes 2. List goes on but without major squinting you never get more than 2.

I would prefer it if they left saddles out of the equation almost completely. It's not fair to win votes just because of the saddle. Like in the submarine's case. Armoured saddle for the Thyla is fine because it's not a crazy additional mechanic. But the turret saddles are just silly. The Maevia went from an awesome addition to, _how badly can I break pvp._
Dreadnoughtus, please win 🙏 I love huge sauropods and was so excited when the Titanosaur was released but hugely saddened when I found out it wasn't a permanent tame unless playing with the setting turned on, Dreadnoughtus is permanent which is fantastic and of course for balance the creator made is so you have to take care of it (hopefully not often if that mechanic is implemented) All around my go to with Sauroposeidon 2nd and the Hatzegopteryx being 3rd, hope everyone enjoys the outcome of the vote nonetheless!
Random thought (I don’t know where else to comment it) - a herbivore ocean creature that eats a new seaweed, you can farm it best with a sickle, if it comes to it then it will only eat fish meat if it is under 10% hp, and it has an ability where it send out a 5 second “pulse”? or “sonar wave”? that deters electric creatures (jellyfish and eels) while attracting megs - cannot be spammed it has a cool down, thrives in mated pairs and can emit a 10 second pulse together, if there’s more than two then they turn aggressive to each other if you try to abuse the pulse… as I said, just a thought, I don’t know if it’s a stupid idea, I’m sorry 😕
4:15 The Sauroposeidon having an attack where it just swings it's neck does make sense biologically and in the game, giraffes do that a one in fights and that does a lot of damage so I can at least see the inspiration, the omni-directional movement though, that leaves me quite skeptical, because it's joints aren't very mobile side-to-side, in general dinosaur limbs are better adapted for front-to-back movement. This is in addition to Sauroposeidon being such a large animal, the limbs would usually be directly under the animal to support its weight. 22:04 Thylacosmilus isn't actually a part of the marsupial group like Thylacoleo, but it is part of a group closely related to marsupials so yea.
jumping spider should have won aberration (I some how missed that vote and feel responsible im sorry) but I really like it for extinction too. my number one pick! we need a spider!
The Gorgonops would be a lot more interesting if its main shtick wasnt just essentially putting the game on easy mode for taming. The whole point is exploration and finding the rare tames out in the world, being able to just auto track what you're looking for would take all the fun out of the hunt, which is precisely why that kind of ability/tech is relegated to modded structures. The unfortunate reality is I dont see a way this gets implemented without fundamentally either taking the fun out of hunting for tames, or they dumb it down so much its practically usesless, i.e. instead of tracking specific creatures, they give it a radial menu similar to the Theri's collection menu that allows you to select a "type" of animal to track down, like small/large carnivore, small/large herbivore, etc omnivore.
I think I would have liked some sort of supper scary creature that would make you panic kinda like your first encounter with a thyla. Just something that every time you see it your heart skips a beat.
I don’t like it, but hatzegopteryx being called kukulkan from Avitar is sick, cuz the kukulkan are the whales in that movie, and the leonopteryx was based after that dino, i like how they take inspiration from avatar, at least for the name, but dreadnoughtus is my vote
I personally love the way they incorporated the corruption mechanic with Saurposeidon and Darwinopterus are so creative. Personally, I love the reference to the original extinction creatures. ❤ Also, hi Syntac, thanks for going over the votes again.
there is so many cool critters this time around! some hard choices for sure xD but god i want the gorgonopsid. i have wanted that damned thing for 5 years now lmao. i just want more synapsids,,
I want one that is either like a rhino that can jump over shorter walls and a saddle that makes it bulletproof to smaller calibers on the front, or a HLNA type robot that acts as a caregiver, managing troughs, can be set to craft specific things, can move and manage inventory, collect materials in a certain radius, can raise the babies, etc.
The Dreadnoughtus was in Jurassic World Dominion in the opening scene and we also saw them at Biosyn Dr Grant points them out when they fly over in the helicopter. I really hope it wins this time 🤞
One thing I really wish I had in the game was either a medium-sized creature around the size of a Sarco, which had a platform saddle. Imagine how awesome it would be to have an inexpensive platform saddle lizard that can function practically like a living terrestrial raft. Another idea I’d like to see is a large creature with a platform saddle that has built-in turrets, where the saddle itself has snappable points where it can be seamlessly built on to.
syntac i love ya but could you actually read the submissions and cover them properly rather than just look at the pictures and make assumptions about them especially for the hatze submission friends of mine have worked on that and they were afraid of this happening of you not bothering to read the submission and cover it properly it just seems incredibly bare bones compared to other creature vote videos like freyns
