Sharing your vulnerability can bring comfort to others who are experiencing similar life challenges. Knowing our struggles are not ours alone can help us to understand and open up. Taking time for introspection can be healing and rewarding. Wishing that you find a balanced, healthy and successful path this year.

Hi Christine! Going through a time of doubt is very difficult. Know that God never shames us or gets upset when we question. As we read in the book of Job, God welcomed his questioning, as it is through questioning that we can rebuild a relationship with God. It is easy to question our salvation in times of doubt, but know that our salvation is not lost in times of questioning, the fact that you are questioning means you still have a relationship with God and are wanting to understand him and your faith more deeply and genuinely. I pray that you are carried in arms of love through this season. I've been through it myself and I am still navigating questions at times. But I am thankful for that season because through it I dismantled views of God that weren't true and drew closer to him. Be encouraged and do not dismay. You are immensely loved by God, forever and always!

What a wonderful video. I’m a Christian, have an MBA with corporate experience , and have had considerable challenges in my life including crushing depression. Being 62 provides advantages in that I am able to see God’s relentless faithfulness and love woven into my life experiences. Hindsight and the passing of time provides confidence and trust in who He is. No question or doubt is too big for Him; wrestling implies relationship; much better than indifference. He can handle anything. No guilt or shame; I’m sure you know the one who fuels those thoughts. Keep your work/life balance - awareness is the first step and you’re doing a great job. And be kind to yourself. Will pray for your heart and mind. Judy

Thanks for your honesty especially about your faith. I think it’s pretty normal to question certain parts of our faith and in the end we grow and become more like Christ, with a real knowing Him personally just like Job did. I will be praying for you. Blessings from Australia

Wonderful video Christine. Excellent advice and it’s so nice that you got a good break that has helped you. Doubt is healthy. Where you land is where you are meant to be. It’s a process, and a never ending one at that. Trust yourself. You are appreciated! 🌻

I’ve been thinking of you today and praying for you!!! I don’t know all the answers. No one does, but going back to the simple basics may help. Start with the simple child like knowledge of “Jesus loves me this I know…” May God bless and guide you and give you favor as you seek the truth. You are precious in His sight. ❤️

Wonderful video, Christine. Sometimes we only have a small measure of faith...and that is enough. I think it is harder for those of us who struggle with anxiety and depression in general; it's a cross to bear, in a way, as we slowly go on with Christ. Blessings to you! Looking forward to more of your beautiful content :)

Hi Christine and Happy New Year! Long time viewer here. I have always been drawn to your channel bc I love your editing and visual style, and that your content is mostly about minimalism and low/zero waste. With that said whenever you have brought up your faith it’s an instant turn-off. That’s just me personally, I know many here feel the opposite. Years ago when I was discovering that bit about myself after being raised Catholic I found the videos from Christopher Hitchens. His abrasiveness was part of his appeal. For a softer approach currently I watch Seth Andrews. His call-in, interview, and soap box style format speaks to me. No matter what path you take with your faith in the future I will never put you down here in the comment section, for that is extraordinarily rude and hurtful. All I know is the humanist path I am on has given me so much clarity and helps me to live my life to its fullest while also trying to do my best for others. All the very best to you and yours. ✌️🌱

Wishing you growth and peace. Fowler's Stages of Faith deeply helped me make sense of my stage 5 faith when compared to the stage 3 often found active and loud in church communities. It's healthy to grow spiritually, but can be confusing when it's often not given a public face in faith communities 🕊️

If you have any Asian inspired recipes, would love for you to share them. Even if it’s sharing preferred spices and how they are used in your culture. I’m on a quest in 2020 to diversify our family cuisine.

I also have doubts. Today, in church, I imagined that if I were an artist, I would paint a picture of God the Father in heaven, a very bright silhouette. The Father's hand would be outstretched, and Jesus would be holding God's hand, and at the same time, Jesus would be reaching down to a very dark place. The dark place is where a helpless human is, who is reaching up to the Savior. A small stream of blood flows from the hand of Jesus, to the clasped hand of the man. All we can rest on is the shed blood of Jesus, God's Son, and his body broken for us. Since He rose from the dead, we can be sure we will rise again also. He alone can cleanse our sin, clear our doubt, reconcile us to God.

Christine, I really love your videos on living a slow and simple lifestyle! However, I have to politely disagree with your views on protecting the planet. Climate change has been a great hoax upon society to push the world into a global government, global currency, and global religion. The Bible says in Genesis 8:22 that God is in control of the weather, NOT mankind. "While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." As Christians, we should understand this. By the way, there is no such thing as a perfect life. In this world, we will have pain and suffering. Since The Fall of Adam and Eve, all evil has corrupted mankind. Only Jesus Christ is the answer. Plus, according to your book, you state that we are evolved species. But the fact is, we are not evolved beings. That is the teaching of evolution. Evolution is completely contrary to what the Bible says. We aren't evolved from primates, we are made in the image of God. In summary, this world is not our home. As Christians, our home is in Heaven with the Lord. So, that leaves me with one question. Are you more concerned about making this temporary world a better place, or are you more concerned about making Heaven the better place (reaching lost souls for Christ and giving glory to God in all that you do)? In the end of this world, millions of people will blame The Rapture on climate change or the abduction of aliens. You may not believe this and will find it offensive. Well, the Truth hurts. And it's up to you to decide whether or not you will accept it. Thank you.
@simplybychristine
@simplybychristine 2 года назад
Hi Erin thanks for sharing. I understand where you're coming from in saying that weather and climate change are in God's control. To this, I agree. Regarding my statement about suffering and pain, I understand your perspective as well and know that everything should be kept in a kingdom/eternal perspective. The evolution statement in my book has been misinterpreted before by another subscriber who asked me as well, please note that it is not meant to mean that we are from primates, but rather have evolved in the sense that we've created many advancements in our society and lives over time. And whether or not a person believes climate change is real or not, I do think there is something for us all to think about when it comes to pollution, care for the environment, and how our actions affect others who live on this planet. We're called to love one another, and I see that living sustainably is a way to love our neighbors. I don't expect you to agree with everything I say here, these are just some points for clarification. Thanks for respecting the space (:

@@simplybychristine I misunderstood the evolution part. I do see your point. Thanks for clarifying! :)
