This was an amazing video. Not enough content creators make videos like this anymore. This gives off “Daily vlog” vibes. Love it. Looked like so much fun!
My pain is more acute than yours during 2 weeks in France and 4 weeks in Italy. I'm an Australian supporter, so our cup was miserable. I loved how French and Italian bars that called themselves Irish, Scottish or English bars wouldn't show the rugby. Places called sports bars would turn out to be one TV in the corner showing the local football being watched by grumpy North Africans who didn't like the look of a big Aussie in a gold jersey trying to ask them to change the channel. Congratulations on the outcome, and thanks for the insights on Italy. I love the place, and your videos helped.
When I lived in Florence back in 2021/22 I lived off the other side of Piazza Santa Croce on Borgo Santa Croce. This was my neighborhood as well. My language school was Parola and it was right across from my apartment! I used to go to the Red Garter and I remember Pavis! He was a very nice guy, super helpful! The manager there, possibly Francesco(is he Italian/British?), turned me on to the website they use to stream all the different sporting events. So now wherever I am in the world I can watch American football and baseball. Anyways, I actually just returned to Italy(Sicily) a week ago. I am staying for another 90 day period and will figure out where to go from there. Congrats to SA on the win! Los Chicos had good food, I would also get kebabs from the little place across from the Red Garter. Thanks for the memories! Ciao, Paul in Sicily
Oh wow, so much fun!! Congrats on the win and thanks for sharing the good times!! PS - Did you ever calculate how many calories were consumed during the making of this vlog?? 😎
Hey Guys, WOW I'm amazed the Red Garter Bar still exists! I remember going there back in 1992! Yes way back then! Were you guys even born then? Anyway, it was THE expat bar to go to back then and looks like it's still going strong today. As an Italo-Australia it was weird being at the Red Garter Bar packed full of Contiki Tour groups listening to Cold Chisel. It was surreal back then. I've enjoyed your take on Firenze and Lucca. I hope you travel further afield not only in Toscana but also Umbria, Emilia Romagna and where my family are from in the Veneto. Congrats to South Africa! A well earned win. Safe travels! Ciao, Stef
Congrats on the World Cup win! 🎉 It was so nice to see where you guys met and went on your first date! What a community of friends you have in Florence! ❤
this was great guys!! The game was tense but exciting, so happy South Africa won!!! I absolutely loved seeing the apartment and places you lived and hung out at when you first met!!! ❤️ so nice, I really enjoyed this!!! Thank you
Thanks Leslie! We were in Florence last weekend so we aren't sure if it is currently flooding there this weekend, but Tuscany in general has been hit really bad by this storm unfortunately 😔
