I dunno if I'd go that far. Matter of opinion really. I like Witcher 3, great game. But I've put way more hours into other games. New Vegas and Skyrim come to mind. Borderlands too if we can stray from the usual rpgs. Witcher 3 is an amazing game, but I can safely say that, if someone told me I could only choose 1 game to keep, and had to get rid of the rest, I'd probably save a Fallout, or Elder Scrolls. Hell, maybe even Assassin's Creed Odyssey.....over Witcher 3.
Geralt is like Batman, if he's prepared. With the right combination of signs, potions, etc you can defeat an enemy that's a couple of levels higher than you.
You should also react to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - The Sword of Destiny E3 2014 Trailer. This is a gameplay trailer, but it's not less of a masterpiece than these two!
The Woman in the 2nd video is Orianna and she is a Bruxa, a type of Vampire. She is a Character in the "Blood and Wine" DLC and Geralt promised to kill her (cause some things she did during the story). The potion he drank was Black Blood, it turns blood into poison and it becomes lethal to monsters which drink it. And please react to "Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher"
@@mihai000000 She is pretty strong and intelligent for a Bruxa, but there are some of her kind, who are a bit stronger. You can say, Orianna is both; A higher Bruxa or something. The Transformation in the Video is definitely a Bruxa, but CDPR made her stronger in the Story, for the Lore i think and changed her race. I think they messed up a bit^^
Geralt drank black blood which is pretty much deadman's blood which hurts nacrophages which a vampire is. He let her drink through him so she weakens herself "in game they do the same when bruxa and alps are low they lunge at you and drink your blood to regen theirs" When they drink the black blood their armor where they deflect things with their skin is weakened and if you are patient enough you can see them crying in pain.
He always had a "sixth sense" (part of being a witcher), the potion he took makes his blood caustic... like an Alien Also, if you don't remember her from the game - that's Orianna, and she's a Bruxa (a type of vampire, obviously)
Witcher 3, The Wild Hunt is a really expansive game, revolving around wars, famine, politics..the potential end of the world. Very dark Medieval kind of environment. The first DLC, Hearts of Stone, is set pretty much in the same area with the same maps and cities but has a very chilling Gothic horror vibe. Has a very demonic twist, very much like Faust...selling of souls and how to beat the "devil character." Both are quite dark. The second DLC, Blood and Wine is a total switch. Geralt leaves the rancid, toxic frozen North and ends up in the Duchy of Toussaint, a sun drenched gorgeous land full of olive trees, vineyards (lotta wine!), feasts, art, palaces and such. Instead of the corroded and rusty armor, there are Knights here...shining armor and plumes, very chivalrous, Tournaments, coats of arms. And a lot of poisonous plants, giant centipedes and a ton of vampires. Lot of Romance. And some humor.
May I recommend you read some of the books before you play the game. I tried the game years ago and found it meh. However now that I’ve read some of the books, I think it’s an amazing game
Witcher 3 is what I consider the Greatest Game of All Time (to date). It's such an amazing story, fluid and deep gameplay, gorgeous graphics, very few bugs. It's just an example of a nearly perfect product.
@@TopKunt It is disqualified for the same reason why games like Pokemon mobile games are. If it's not available on PC, it doesn't have support for things like modding, higher graphical settings, multiple control schemes. It's simply technically inferior.
Ok. The "magic" Geralt uses are referred to as "Signs" by the Witchers. They are relatively low level spells (compared to the magic the Mages and Sorceresses can use.) In the two trailers the first you see is Aard...it's like a force blow that can knock back an enemy (like the guy in the first trailer.) It can also be used to blast through obstacles or doors. The next Sign is Quen, a sort of protective force field that can be used to avoid damage. You see it in the second trailer when the sort of golden globe covers Geralt. Short term, usually only good to stop one attack. Igni is possibly the most directly destructive Sign. It's a fireball at the start but as you level it up it can go as high as being a flamethrower effect. You have to be careful tho...if you use it when you're in a cloud of flammable vapor or if there are explosives around, it can detonate them, and if you're too close you can take damage or get killed by the blast. Fourth Sign is Axii, a mind control power. With it you can befuddle an opponent, make him believe what you tell him (like in the first Star Wars movie; "These aren't the droids you're looking for.") At a higher level it can actually cause an enemy to turn on his comrades and fight for you for a short time; great when you're going up against a gang of bandits. The last Sign is Yrden. When cast it sets a circle of runic images on the ground. It's really only good if you stay inside the circle but it can slow or damage enemies entering it. It can make invisible enemies visible and stop or limit any magic they try to use inside the circle.
Geralt is peak Badassery he's what you would get if you mixed Elric Of Melnibone and Conan The Barbarian and a little bit of Solomon Kane. You have got to react to more witcher trailers and definitely play the game.
@Vicodyn Solomon Kane is over 80 years old and has novels dating back to the 1920s or 1930s well before the creation of Conan The Barbarian. The Witcher is quite similar tho.

That globe he throws up into the rafters in the barn is "Moon Dust." It's a concoction containing silver slivers that can reveal invisible foes. It's one of several "bombs" the Witcher can use. There's a shrapnel bomb, a poison gas bomb, a fire bomb, a different kind of firebomb that surrounds the target with a flammable gas that can be ignited, a cold bomb that freezes opponents, a kind of Flashbang bomb, and a "Dimeritium Bomb" that stops or limits creatures from using any magic they have. (Dimeritium is a kind of magic metal; it can be used to make shackles that keep magic users from escaping and such...it's like Kryptonite to magic users or magical monsters.
Not on sale at the moment, but I strongly recommend picking up any of the Witcher games (and Cyberpunk 2077) on GOG.com, CDProjektRED's sister company. Circumvents the usual middle-man cut and CDProjektRED gets 100% of your eddies instead.
The potion he drank was black blood and it makes his blood poisonous to physical Undead. It is in the game. They showed two alchemical items in the trailer. One was black blood the other was the moon dust bomb. They showed two spells in the trailer. He has access to five in the game. They also showed the sword fighting and crossbow in the trailer. So that's two examples of each of the three major things that geralt can do. Alchemy, Magic and standard combat. I thought that was an interesting way to show the fighting in the game.
The song is so good. When she says that the witcher will eat you up whole she isn't kidding. Witchers use monster parts to make their potions and concoctions. Great eerie song about the monsters boogeyman.
Just a bit of explenation for second trailer he drank blackblood a potion to make his blood into a acid like poison(u can see his blood evaporating after he drinks it)
play it, it's a really solid game story wise.. on the first trailer, if you will play the witcher 3 that would be you starting point to explore. on the second trailer, actually the creature geralt fought will appear on the dlc of witcher 3 (blood and wine expansion). also that creature is also categorized as a "vampire", classification "bruxa". you will know it all when you play it 😊 happy playing 😊😊😊

Its really hard to watch those who don't know whats going on or at least have a passing knowledge of the world...Simply cause without it...So much is confusing and meaning tends to get lost. Not saying I expect everyone to have read the books or the game etc...Just makes it a bit more enjoyable if you have imo. TY, for the reaction 😁
