In case anyone is in any doubt, I am from the North of England and live in the south-east of England, as far east as you can go before falling into the English Channel. On a clear day we can see mainland France, which is a mere 30 miles across the water as the crow flies. This is half-recipe, half-review though the concept was suggested to me by my friend and subscriber @jamiesrockandsoul and I thought, why not? Sounds good to me! By the time I got round to making this video, I had been hectic all week and I accompanied my homemade mushy peas with Wenzel's vegetarian slices and a carton of ready-made mashed potatoes from the chiller cabinet of our local Co-op. The gravy, however, was also homemade and leftover from a meal earlier in the week. Watch out for more recipes in this new mini-series!
