A One-Off MG ZT. Test Drive/Review 

You are one of the few people that actually acknowledges the better quality carpet on the earlier 75s/ZTs hats off to you there. When I was looking for a 75 especially in Australia i was making sure I bought one with the better carpet knowing the faux wood can easily be changed. Looking through several examples it looks like the lower grade Velcro style carpet started to be fitted to the final preface lifted cars

Always loved the 75 / ZT it was quite impressive really what a great job they did with turning the rather stately 75 into the rather aggressive looking ZT. Both the 75 and zt were great cars in their own right.

Now then. It’s easy to underestimate the joy of having a vehicle that you just enjoy looking at. It might not be a particularly successful car, or a practical car, or reliable car, but to you it’s a fabulous looking car. Cars spend most of their time sitting outside your house so having something aesthetically pleasing is very desirable. This particular car is very interesting to me, the overall shape is very pleasing and the colour is delightful but the fly in the ointment is it’s face. Both the 75 and ZT have rather odd and ungainly faces to my eye. But we find different things attractive and this is the best thing about humans. I like that some things I think are gopping awful are beautiful to others and some things I like are incomprehensible to others. I am a big fan of The Fall who most people I know think are shambolic rubbish, but I can’t stand Jamiroquai who seems to be quite popular. Funny old world int it.

Lovely example of a mk1 ZT, but since the review of 75/ZT the suspension issue would really put me off. Allegro mans price seems very fair for a unicorn..
