Thanks for sharing this video. I am currently struggling with OAB. I had the urolift procedure with no good results. My urologist has mentioned this procedure. It does help to know what to expect from a real person, not a video.
Thanks Dr Malik for the wonderful explanation. Request you to please come up with the video of Varicocele nerves and how it affects in fertility in men. what are the treatments and what are the chances of getting pregnant with this varicocele nerve.
Very interesting I’m a RN and I am the go to guy if someone needs a Foley catheter. I’m really good at it. I’m thinking about going to PA school and focusing on urology
Another great and informative video Dr. Malik. You are a great speaker. How do you know how far to place the lead? Does this device stimulate the nerve continuously or on demand? Or does it block the nerve?
Thanks Soo much for the info provided! My Urologist has recommended the InterStim & I’ve been quite hesitant. I rathered Botox but I’m seeing the pacemaker would likely be the best benefit.
I had implant a couple of months ago for retention. Test went fine. After having implant it worked well for several weeks then one day I has leg pain in right leg (implant on left side) due to muscle constriction. When I turned the therapy off the pain subsided. They wanted to try other programs and settings. Each on brought the pain back. I think it has to be mechanical. Have you heard of this? Before the pain it worked very well. I want to keep it, but at a loss and my Dr. may be also. I am in Md. in your area but not your county.
Dr. Malik, thank you again for a very interesting video. Can you tell me if this treatment works with those who were born with spina bifida? I was born with this birth deflect but the incontinence did not become a real problem until about 10 years ago. At that time I was told I had a tethered cord and that most likely was making my urinary incontinence worse. Do you think this procedure could possibly help. Thanks again for a great information.
Dr.Malik...your videos are very well done and very informative....but they sure do make me glad I have NO Urological issues!! What you describe for what some patients must go through makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck!! LOL! Have great Day!!
@@RenaMalikMD Ok Dr.! I'm sure you are a very honest person so I' will take your word for it...but I somehow still fear a Foley Catheter more than a Protstate Exam (yes I do remember your "Skinny Fingers comment!! )LOL!
The procedure was recommended to me several years ago. The price at the time was $2,500 for trial phase and then another $2,500 for permanent implant. Of course with inflation and rising medical charges, it would be somewhat more now. I chose not to do it because I usually have to go only once or maybe twice at night. I still consider it an option if nocturia every gets worse.
Dr. took it out. I said I was willing to try it again but never heard back from her about that. Now they want me to cath all the time or wear one. For many reasons I'm not doing that. I don't think they like my being a square peg they are trying to put in a round hole and communication is not their strong suit.
I am a male with median lobe enlargement of the prostate into my bladder. If I ingest too many bladder irritants it can cause me, usually in the wee hours of the morning, to have great difficulty emptying my bladder to the point where it can take an hour or more to empty it completely. Any help for a situation like this? I have to avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, chocolate, orange juice, and on and on...
You can use Kx2 Herbal Tea to treat pile completely and permanently without any side effects. For enquiry and order, send a message to Dr. Vikraft Sambo via; Email: vikraft.sambo@gmail.com WhatsApp: +2348068025794.
My overactive bladder is annoying i could be sitting in class and i would try go toilet nothing would come out then i sit back in class and i would have leakage
I'd there any new devices or procedures for a bladder that's not getting signals to relieve. My father has ended up on a catheter after his bladder became enlarged. He had a surgical procedure to open up the urethra..I wonder if this device could stimulate his bladder and get him off the catheter.
Hi Laura 👋 I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….
It appears that this system is for females with a bladder problem, so is there or is there going to be a program for males with the same or similar problem?
I already went to Nephrologist and Internal Medicine specialist but she found my blood at urine samples were fine and sound and she didn't prescribe any medication because she doesn't know what really is the problem with my frequent urination. I do urinate 14 to 17 times on a daily basis. It is really hard. Can anyone help me?
