This song reminds me of my older sister. She loved Amy Lee and always sang this song around the house. She got liver cancer a few years ago and we lost touch with each other. I hope she's still around singing this song, cuz her voice is just as beautiful as yours. 😊

Honestly, this is one of the only song that no cover, even by other famous singers do justice. Been scouring the 'tube to find one. This song is not fancy, but it's hauntingly simple, direct and emotional. no need for any fancy singing style or music. Just a beautiful voice. Yours do. Kudos to you and your stairwell.

Painfully nostalgic is a perfect description. I have a lump in my throat just looking at the title because it reminds me of an event that is the reason why I've been alone for the last 13 years. I'm not a guy who is ashamed of showing emotions, but I would be ashamed if anyone would see what this song does to me. And you sing it so well!

Well hell. This has me in tears too. For a couple reasons. 1. The husband of a friend of my ex wife's died tragically (like kidnapped and killed, tragically) in Saudi Arabia, and this was played at his funeral. We were all in tears. And B. Has me thinking of my ex wife. We were not meant for each other, and divorce was the correct decision. But, it didn't all suck, ya know? It wasn't all bad. And your beautiful cover has me remembering some of that.

Great song for the stairwell. Well performed as always.

"Bring me to life" holds a special place in my heart because it's literally the very first song I ever heard from Evanescence, it was from the marvel movie daredevil with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. Second to that is "my immortal", not only because of how emotionally powerful the lyrics are but also because Amy Lee wrote the song for her sister who died of an illness when she was a child, and there are two versions of it, each version beautifully powerful and emotional in their own way.

I don't watch the videos as soon as they appear, because I want a moment. They deserve a special moment to be heard and appreciated. Nothing can spoil them. Just amazing...

Middle school!! OMG, I feel old. I lived this song when it came out, was in my early 20's... I remember thinking "Man, someone really hurt that poor lady!" Then, WHAM!!! It wasn't a week later, I was living the song. I agree with a lot of the comments here. You may have been unapproachable, you most certainly intimidated at least some of the boys!! Oddly, we realize that kind of stuff far too late in life.
