some still are. sadly it's not as important to people as it used to be. they'd rather just put in a PA. but nothing will ever match the warmth and breadth of human voices and string instruments in an amphitheatre. I feel you.
Honestly, it has rather a bigger effect than it does if she was like in her bedroom or something, because the echos of her cries makes it have more emptions into it. I can hear the distress in her voice its so awesome! ❣
I’ve been legally blind for the majority of my adult life. Listening to your voice is like a glorious sunshine in a world of darkness. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful gift.
The power of “Hallejuah” is that it’s a song that is just as powerful as the first time you hear it, no matter who is singing it. I imagine your rendition of Dance Me to the End of Love would be just as beautiful. 💜
My submarine pulled into Plymouth England once and I went to the bathroom at a restaurant and it was all stone. It had the most exquisite acoustics. I was in there longer than I needed to be and my friends continued to tell me how I don’t belong in the military if what I notice about a bathroom is the acoustics. Thanks for looking for non-conventional, beautiful locations to make music!!
I'm sorry... That is ridiculous for people to say that you can't serve your country just because you appreciate acoustics. Thank you for your service and do not lose the things that you love. That's what makes you YOU
I just came across your channel Lauren a few days back from your incredible Bella Ciao cover, goosebumps every playthrough. I know you will most likely not see this but if you do, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You. I want you to know your voice in this cover has cured my long term depression. By the grace of God I am able to listen to your angelic voice and have happy tears in my eyes every time I play through, love is most definitely a cold and broken Hallelujah 2:50 I am so happy to see that you took much deserved time away while pregnant taking care of yourself and baby. Your child is truly blessed to have two loving parents who both have amazing voices. Again, Thank you Lauren for allowing me to feel natural happiness for the first time in many years. May God bless you and your family in Jesus mighty name
Now I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you dont really care for music, do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth The minor falls, the major lifts The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew her She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well, maybe there's a God above As for me all I've ever learned from love Is how to shoot somebody who outdrew you But it's not a crime that you're hear tonight It's not some pilgrim who claims to have seen the Light No, it's a cold and it's a very broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Instrumental Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well people I've been here before I know this room and I've walked this floor You see I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch But listen love, love is not some kind of victory march, no It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah There was a time you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And I remember when I moved in you And the holy dove she was moving too And every single breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Now I've done my best, I know it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didnt come here to London just to fool you And even though it all went wrong I'll stand right here before the Lord of song With nothing, nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah
Please don't ever stop singing. For the rest of us who are not blessed with a good singing voice, we can only ever enjoy singing vicariously through people like you. :) its so beautiful.
My soul stirred, moved beyond the common tongue can ever put forth in mere words. I felt every lift and fall of your voice, down to my very bones. && I think that is why I will always come back to this channel. You delve so fully into these songs, that you make the listener feel it as much as you do when you sing. You're a gift. Thank you so much.
Just as a block of granite or marble contains a beautiful sculpture, so too, were you, miss, housing this lovely song to be released in a garage stairwell. Thank you for revealing it to us.
I’d love to walk into this this stairwell on a bad day. I would just be the weirdo that is so entranced that I stop and sit at the top of the stairwell and cry.
Good Lord!. I have been involved in the music industry, and musical theatre for a very long time, and I am so impressed with your version of Hallelujah in a stairwell. Well done my lady.
The power was flowing through her so much she had to touch the wall like a grounding rod because there was too much power moving through her. just beautiful.
SO MANY GOOSEBUMPS My dad says “ you know your good at singing if you give people shivers up their spine” You gave me the chills (in a good way) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥
Wow! You just popped up in my YT algorithm for the first time, and I am blown away. Very beautiful and talented voice, combined with those amazing acoustics made this a very powerful rendition of Leonard Cohen's masterpiece. Thank you.
Lauren, for me, there is a cold and chilling desolation to concrete stairways, and in those attached to public carparks there is also often an acerbic aroma that fights with the scent of the floating dust to create unpleasant memories. However, in some, there are also echoing sounds, trembling half-heard hollow utterances, the click of a door closing to bar the way into its unseen and secretive distance, and occasionally, a passing redshift of tones that can make the hair on my neck stand up, as if my mind's imperious contemplation of this concrete graveyard to inhuman vanities has been disturbed by the rustling feet of a passing angel
@@justafreak8790 If you need to ask after reading my comment, then I guess I still have a long way to go. Seriously, I have been learning and practicing how to write for more years than I care to recall, and no, I have not published anything, because in reality, and occasionally, I just enjoy the clarity to be found within writing process. Great animations on your channel by the way, and the skills displayed by these drawings show me that regardless of how many people subscribe to your channel, or watch its content, and regardless of any questions that I might wish to ask, you are an artist.
@@passerby9123 oh-! Um, they're not really drawings- I use an app called gacha club. I do edit the characters sometimes but I'm far from an artist. I appreciate the compliment though! And I write a lot too, but I don't want to make a career out of it because it's just something that helps relieve stress and is a hobby. Really though, your skill is amazing!!!
@@justafreak8790 I understand your use of an app, and in many ways writing is the same, when it is the use of words in what might be called an appropriate way. Not sure if this appropriate way is an app., but the creativity that comes with the use of tools is always founded on the application of an ability that develops into a skill over time and with practice. I guess you could say that life itself is an applicable practice session for the abilities that become our living skills, and the question that remains to ask ourselves is are these skills then being used in an appropriate way, as in a way that feels right, (not good,) to the part of us that understands how the reality of freedom and free will comes with boundaries of behaviour that respect the souls of self and other. Best of luck.
I’m using one hand to type this, my dogs are both laying on my arms. But this is pure amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been watching you for months!!!! You’re amazing!!!!! Omg thank you for the likes!!!!!
CHILLS FROM MY HEAD TO MY TOES. ALL WHILE CRYING!! Only a Few people are TRULY blessed with something THIS beautiful!! I have loved everything I've heard, but THIS!!!!!!💜💜💜😭😭🤗🤗
You slow time to a still when I listen to you. you heal anyone from stress and broken heart and provide space even for grieving. all I can say is Hallelujah!! thank you, God for Lauren Paley
Amazing voice and performance. Always find it interesting that some people have a religious experience over a song about a divorce and lost love. It truly is a powerful song so well written that it moves people in amazing ways. When sung by such an amazing voice it brings on new meaning and powerful feelings.
Shrek fans: "OMFG! So nostalgic!" Zack Snyder's Justice League fans: "Wow, great cover, #RestoreTheSnyderVerse" Religious people: "Praise the Lord, for he will appreciate this heavenly voice!" Me: "Yes! I voted for this one! I love it! Great job as always from the Stairwell Siren!"
Been having a very tough time lately mainly to health issues. Can't even begin to express how much this lifted me. Thank you for sharing your gift. It helped.
Lost someone recently and this song has just tore me right open.. sung with heart and power , you are beautiful. Love to each and every one of you may life be good to you all x
I don't imagine she gets interrupted too often on purpose, like with people asking what she's doing. I imagine the interruptions are more in line with people trying not to make too much noise as they pass through, and just spending longer trying not to make the noise they're making anyway.
i just can’t get enough .your voice cancel s time and space as your joy over flows . i saw you and your mother together singing I want more of you both .
