They did the exact same thing with the laurel alpinist bracelet,it's a touch rattly but the most comfortable bracelet I've ever worn

Actually the bracelet feels quite solid to me. The watch itself with the bracelet is actually quite solid and hefty so I don’t quite know what this flimsiness is about. There will definitely be some gap between the links no matter what.

Couldn't agree more. You can't imagine how easily it get smudges and fingerprints all-over.

It's a great watch. You'll love it. The rubber band is probably the better choice 👍🏻.

They are absolutely great but the bracelet need to be improved. For that reason I sold it and now I'm looking forward to getting a planet ocean orange bezel/white dial. The dial on the AT is not ceramic but it's really beautiful and well finished.

Hi there, thanks for your comment! I think the reason why people expect a discount for the majority of Omega models is because Omega allows ADs to offer discounts. I think it also has to do with the fact that Omega is constantly releasing new models, new colorways of existing models and limited edition models too. I wouldn't say anyone is stupid for paying full retail for anything. You could, you did it! I wish I could also do so without asking questions but my funds were and are still limited 😅 As for Rolex, I totally agree with you. I'm on the waiting list for a gmt master II if the AD call me fine, I'll get but I'm definitely not paying they grey market premium.

Hi Nick! Thanks for watching! The watch is actually beautiful and I feel like I didn't give it a fair chance. The orange accents are one of the things I like the most about it. If you're fine with the bracelet you'll love it. I sold it to a friend of mine and he still has it. It's his favourite watch in the collection.

Hi, Alan! Just a matter of personal preference. It's not only the weight though. The bracelet simply doesn't feel good enough. That's just my opinion of course. In fact, I know many people who have this watch and they're perfectly fine with the quality and feel of the bracelet.

They have it without the orange hand but in 38mm case.

@ajloveswatches it's definitely a nice watch but if you are a bracelets guy you might be disappointed with this one. In fact I sold mine two weeks ago because of the bracelet.

It’s the orange that makes this watch. Beautiful contrast with the black hands.

Hi, there! All I'm saying is that the bracelet could be better. Yes, it's well built and nicely finished but for my taste it's a bit thin and light. It's just a personal preference I guess. I eventually sold the AT and bought a Planet Ocean.

@@TheBoldHairspring I agree when it comes to PCLs but I think part of your issue is the ratio of your wrist size vs size of the watch case because if you got the 38mm I bet the top heavy feel would be less pronounced. I have like a 7.25-7.5 in wrist and when I tried the 41mm AT it did not feel too light cause it molded to my larger wrist with its proportions.

The bracelet is the biggest letdown for sure. And yeah a nice solid caseback with a cool engraving such as the seamaster horse would suit the nature of the watch better.

It's nice but they have just put them up in UK to £5.900 just don't c where the money is in it against the PO but I think I would have it green don't no y they stopped doing the day window but it's cool 😎

The bracelet does taper very slightly. I have this exact model.

A Rhodium plated Cal 8900 is worth displaying, though. That movement is high horology. Automated production is the only reason this isn't a $10k to $15k watch.

I think you are right. I'm definitely not happy with the bracelet. Plus, the center links get smudges all over the moment you put the watch on.

@@TheBoldHairspring i have the same victorinox officer watch as you except the face dial is different (blue second hand and number are smaller). I really love the bracelet it comes with the victorinox. I was looking into getting aqua terra as my next purchase but the bracelet doesn’t look all that good. Ur video confirmed that. The rubber strap looks amazing with this watch, but im looking for bracelet watch. Im thinking of getting either grand seiko SBGH279 or tudor north flag. As fellow bracelet nerd, which one would you recommend? Do u have any other recommendations for watch with a solid bracelet.

@@lifematch yes, the omega's bracelet is probably the reason I'll sell it soon. I love the bracelets on my tudor black bay and my oris aquis but they are dive watches. The tudor pelagos has probably the best bracelet/clasp I've seen so far although I'm not a big fan of titanium. The gs you are mentioning I've never seen one in the flesh but it looks to be decent, well executed and it looks solid. No microadjustment points though. If I were you I'd try to see it in person if possible. The bracelet on the north flag is very comfortable, feels solid and it has the same clasp as my black bay which has great action due to the ceramic ball bearings. However, it's still a tough choice, the hi beat movement on the gs is better decorated, the finishing is superior. It's overall a more elegant better looking piece in my opinion. The north flag has it's charm too but it's been discontinued.

@@TheBoldHairspring thank you for taking the time to respond. I would try with the rubber strap before selling it. I tried your exact watch in a rubber strap at an AD and it look amazing, probably the best rubber strap i have ever seen in a watch. It seem like the metal bracelet was an afterthought. Tudor pelagos is bit too thick and bb 58 doesn’t have a see through case back (im a sucker for seeing the movement). I know grand seiko is the better quality overall (some say better than rolex) but im also a sucker for bracelet and i m not sure if it holds up as well as the tudor does. North flag seems to tick all the box and its much cheaper too. Tudor still advertise the north flag in their website so im guessing it can still be bought. However i never seen a grand seiko in person nor a north flag, and where i live, its hard to get those two to see in person. :S. Im planning to drive to another city just to see those two watches in person lol.

Totally agree. Times have changed. At the moment of recording this video. Getting the Rolex OP in Spain was fairly easy. Now they're more difficult to buy than a submariner.

Look at the specs. Not much out there comes close to this Omega Cal. 8900. These coaxial movements are really good.
