I live here! I grew up in the slad valley. My great uncles cabin is still in the valley. When I was 11 we moved to painswick. We lived next to the churchyard, directly behind painswick hotel. I'm good friends with the family that owns and runs painswick fabrics. I still live in the area. My mum remembers laurie Lee, she used to see him in the post office.
I agree Mezmerizing isn't it? I've lived all my life mostly in California and their lives are just beautiful. Yes, life can be stressful anywhere with anyone but it's wonderful existence they are living.

Thanks so much for watching. Yes, the trees were so perfect there. There is a beautiful castle in Wales (Powis Castle) which has the same trees and it looks so enchanted and gorgeous.
Those Georgian Houses always give me the feeling of coming home and coziness by just seeing them or watching them on your video. And I also cannot answer which is my favorite area in UK or even Scotland. There is so much history and nature and more to explore that it may take more than a life time. But I do love the islands like Iona which is car free and a nice trip,for a weekend. An island with 2 hills, a mile of houses at the ferry Harbour, organic hotel gardens, the famous Iona marble, a Moor lake and a golf course at the sea shore. I even saw hunting whales from the shore.
Oh yes, Georgian houses are gorgeous. No, it's simply impossible to say which is our favourite area, too many places are great. Iona sounds great; I think we would love it too!

Yes, the graveyard with the trees was absolutely perfect. Would love to film in the Painswick Hotel (but would definitely need permission to do so). In the meantime, definitely worth checking out their website.

It’s Friday night and my husband and I are laying low on the couch. In 1999 we enjoyed a trip to England with our daughter and her husband which included a visit to Bath. I stumbled across you two tonight and glanced up at our mantle clock which was purchased in Bath. We were back in the moment. Thank you so much for reminding us of the beauty of England. Also, we are so happy you have such a wonderful marriage. We too are blessed in the same way as are our children. They adopted a Russian child in 2002 and she’s the joy of our lives. Travel teaches us to respect the ways of others and show kindness to all.
Thank you so much for giving us a lovely day out with you. We live so near the Cotswolds and you make me feel so lucky to have this beautiful area nearby. Life is so busy nowadays, we don't spend enough time appreciating these areas of natural beauty, where time seems to stand still!

I spent many childhood holidays in Bampton Oxfordshire (kind of Cotswold area) where they filmed for church scenes, pub and some houses for Downton Abbey ...beautiful area too
Some of the less popular destinations in the Cotswolds so that was very interesting. The Cotswolds are special for us became spent our honeymoon in Bourton on the Water. We used to go there every year to celebrate our anniversary but since we moved from London to the north of England and now have three dogs! Its not been so easy. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful adventure.

Thank you for a very lovely tour of the Cotswolds. The filming is very beautifully done! You must do so much walking in a day of touring! I especially enjoy walking in the fall when the trees are thee most beautiful but the scenery of the Cotswolds is just outstanding!
