I LOVED your shopping trip. It is exactly what my husband and I do in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee & Arkansas USA. We love to take day trips or single night trips and find lovely places to browse and farm stands and small craft shops and very often we buy nothing (been there, done that, don’t need a thing) then have a great meal at a local place and leave very happy. 😃 Thank you for sharing it is so fun to see all the unusual things on the shelf that we don’t see here.

So many wonderful Nick nacks! A lovely day out all in the same area.. and as always a nice place to eat at a quaint English eatery! My dad was an avid antique collector, I brought back some of his finds to the US and our family home in Buckinghamshire still has a lot of his treasures. Thank you for bringIng us along.. The antique shops were so much fun to see. It can be so overwhelming to see so much that bring back good memories and you want to buy it to have the feeling continue. Beautiful china. Oh my gosh, I would have been lost in this area for weeks! These old books make me always shiver and not to mention all the dishes and figures ... I love so so much to hunt for bargains in antique or second hand shops and it's incredible, what we've found over the months. Always nice to be with you on such tours!

Lol U two could have left me in the books section and I'd die a happy woman!! I do love the smell of old books, theres nothing quite like them. I could have stayed forever! I had to smile. We are all over here in NY state spending mostly on food. Families are having movie night at home or outdoor picnics. We do (take away) to help the restaurants. We so hope they can stay the course. Would enjoy knowing of any victorian themed magazines in the UK 😀

Theres something to be said about enjoying something in the moment and in its context I find that I can love so many things when I go into places like that full of delicious glimpses into past life but if I was to take it out of context (because antique emporiums are almost like museums) and put it into my home I probably wont love it as much. But it was a lot of fun looking around that place it was amazing I would spend hours there.

I can't believe that Barbour was only 35 pounds! I have my grandfather's old barbour and his old wellies and I wear them all the time, especially when gardening in Autumn and on chilly walks. Little Dorrit is MY favourite Dickens, I've read that the most of all his works. I also love and collect old periodicals, I'm currently reading through 1930's editions of American Better Homes and Gardens, such fun to read old articles and things. Thank you for taking me along on a much needed antiquing outing, I'm so longing to go but my state is still a bit shut up, sadly :/

I absolutely love going to antiques malls and am always on the lookout for antique books. Nothing smells better than an old book ( well, except maybe puppy breath, kitten fur, fresh mown grass and the first rain). The farm shop looked amazing. I love chutneys also. They add such a sweet tanginess to food. What a nice Sunday outing.

Thank you so much for taking us antique browsing, something I love and haven’t been able to do since the pandemic. As I used to buy and sell antique dishes on eBay, especially English ironstone and transferware, I would have lost my mind😜 Even though I’ve had to let go of a lot of my stuff as I’ve continued to downsize over the past several years, my granddaughter still tells people my house looks like a antique shop and art gallery. So my new rule is “one in, one out.” As I am loathe to let go of any more of my keepsakes that have survived all the moves, it makes it easier not to be tempted.

Omg I would definitely have gotten carried away! There is no such thing like this antique store or any antique dealer like the ones in England. My mom loved to go shopping for exquisite antique furniture when we lived in Richmond. Or go to the famous Portobello market. Oh how I. Iss those English tearooms. They cant compare with our German cafes from the coziness, assortment and service. And those old sewing machines would simply be gemstones for some costubers. The farmshop with its glutenfree produce would be pure heaven for me. Please stay safe and take care.

I really loved this video. Browsing through antique shops is my idea of a perfect day out, followed of course with a nice afternoon tea ☕️ I usually end up coming home with something which is always a lovely reminder of a special day. Would love to see a home renovation/decorating update video if possible, although I know how busy you’ve been with your trip to Germany etc. Btw I loved your outfit Kirsten, the green jacket really suits you and looks stunning against the red dress. Lovely to have a new video from you two today! How fun to go shopping... something we have done in many months. The "farm shop" was intriguing to both me and my husband, as we weren't sure what that is! We do have mostly outdoor farmers markets and farm stands here in California, but ours are mostly fruits and vegetables. The prepared foods looked yummy - glad they had some gluten-free treats for you, Kirsten!
