You were so on point reading Kiyoi and Hira, Kiyoi is trying his best but Hira is still in the I'm just a fan mode, I love my boys so much

What i like about hira and kiyoi relationship is they're trying to understand eachother, they taking small steps on their own way to improve themselves for eachother , i know they both are kind of toxic because of the environment they grew up with or the person they are , like hira is s kind of person who have very low self-esteem and he always doubt himself , he don't find himself worthy enough to be with kiyoi he always think that kiyoi left him someday. Just like hira has low self-esteem kiyoi has attachment issues because of his past experience he always feel this need to get attention and being love by someone who always wanted to be by his side he also has this fear that somedays someone gonna snatched hira from him he don't know how to show his true feelings which i think it's also related to his past experience so he sometimes show it in aggressive way although he don't wanted to hurt him genuinely and instead of all this insecurities he still trying to communicate. They both are somehow assuring eachother which i find really wholesome. In real life also if you can see every relationship has their own problems to deal with not everyone is perfect what important is that how much efforts they are putting to be with you instead of all their insecurities and worries. It's reality you can't just expect someone to change their whole personality it's take time , effort and courage.

So far they are staying so loyal to the book with their dialogues, it makes me happy. I am a bit sad they are apparently condensing the entire 2nd book into only 4 episodes but with how they handled episode 1 I am remaining hopeful for the rest of the season.

People stop call Kiyoi toxic, his character called tsundere and it's common character you can find in japanese media and quite become fethis for japanese fans.

So glad you're reacting to the second season! Your insights are always so spot on. I love how they're showing how much Kiyoi is doing to support and communicate with Hira even though he himself struggles with being so direct. The movie was announced first! That's what is coming out in April, then a few weeks later they announced season two which would connect the first season to the movie. I assume they decided that skipping to whatever the movie is about (which is set years after s1 with them in a relationship) without showing the audience their development together as a couple, would have been a bit jarring, so they've made a short season in between to fill that gaps. Season 2 is only 4 episodes 👍🏼

I’m really enjoying it so far and feeling optimistic about this season. Like you said it seems like they kept the vibe the same as the first season and didn’t change up the characters too much. A lot of shows and books tend to get to that lovely-dove-y honeymoon phase when characters get together and the relationship is too perfect until outside things mess up the dynamic or cause miscommunication. So far these two are clearly still the same people with the same flaws and although they’ve made progress in their relationship and are still working on communicating their thoughts. So it feels more like a natural progression. Can’t wait to see how the season develops! Also, I’m thinking that the movie will just be a combined run of season two (like they do with a lot of Korean bls edited into movies) since there’s only 4 episodes, but we’ll see.

I watched S1 before and I didn't like this drama coz I hate any plots school bullying. But S2 has totally changed my opinion! This drama is so incredible! LOVE
