Gutter Technique it called, is not only applying in Akina, even can work in race tracks, remeber a lot of time in GT in licence tests saying similar "stay near inside the corner to pass easly the other corner and can out a bit more faster"? Some racing games you can do a Gutter, Horizon 4 can do, doesn't care is in UK, the DLC of Treasure island or Lego Champoinship, GT Sport can do, even there have Akina Mountain, Wangan Speedway, and another racing cars that are not related to asphalt like Dirt. Well, the other rx7s and the skyline mightve been there just for fun/battling among eachother, the miata on the other hand couldn't really put up much of a fight unless they were running different tires (miata on SM and rx7 on ST or SV) or if its driver was an absolute god
