E23 celebrates a 100 days old today! A great accomplishment for any young bird in the wild. A mockingbird does its best to annoy E23 while resting in the upper branches of the nest tree.
I loved how E23 turning her head looks down at the mockingbird as if to say "hey now quit as i am far bigger than you and you wouldn't like to see my bad side"😂😂 Great Video, thank you from UK 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I think the pesky mockingbird wants to learn how to sound like an angry eagle. That's smart thinking that may come in handy down the road to protect a nest or chase of predators. 😂
Mockingbird #1: "You know what would REALLY help to defend our nests? If we could make sounds just like a big angry eagle!!! But how can we find out what angry eagles sound like?" Mockingbird #2: "I have an idea; hold my beer." (You're watching Mockingbird #2.) 😂😉
It makes me wonder if mockingbird is trying to protect a nearby nest. If that's the case, then why would the mockingbird build a nest so close to the eagles' nest to begin with? If they didn't build so close, then they wouldn't have to worry about the eaglets hanging around in the branches of their own tree, close to their own nest. Silly mockingbirds.
I was walking my dog one day, and there was a mockingbird on top of a parking lot sign inside my apartment complex. Next thing I know, the bird dive b*mbed my dog at her rear end, and flew off without my dog even noticing. But I noticed, and I got mad at the bird for trying to attack my dog. There weren't even any trees around for any nests, so I don't know what it's problem was. Crazy bird.
