A Plague Tale is an incredibly unique world in terms of visual fidelity and attention to detail. Linear singleplayer games are few and far between these days so it's all the more special when we do get some. And a Plague Tale expertly showcases the strengths of this type of game. It's much easier for developers to create detailed and handcrafted worlds when they don't have to worry about an open world. And this is a series that has a wide variety of beautiful environments and equally horrifying environments. In this video I talk about how beauty and horror is represented in game and how this representation corresponds with the core themes.
