A Pocket Sized Shortwave Receiver 

I have the Raddy version of this radio. It seems to work great, but the gripe is definitely the controls, they aren’t straightforward. Keep your manual handy.

Raddy RF760 looks physically identical, and your review of Retekess seems to fit it quite well.

Hi to change modes press set and through the flashing icons until you get to the mode setting which will be mode that's currently set AM\ WFM etc. you can change it there.

BL-5C is old Nokia accumulator. Seems to be a own standard in China :-P

I do want to get a small shortwave receiver for travel sometime, but I've been too focused on antennas lately, LOL.

I found some radios that use that Nokia phone battery. I have the phone but 3G no service any more. you could also clip a long wire to the pull out antenna for SW stations. I get 25 MHz WWV time station during the AM. comes in strong in NY as the sun rise. to around 4pm or so . The RV people use radios like that . had to do some ferrite work on RV's to take down RF mostly solar and inverter noise. the short wave bands are between the HAM bands . mostly AM and a few are SSB . WMRI and WBCQ are some of big stations you can get . BBC as well. 73's

What type of microphone do you use in your videos? You have a very clean audio.

I got the Han Rong Da version of this, because of its size/specs and a couple of reviews I read. In spite of it's capability it is a little pricey. The ergos are really bad and some of the lettering seems to be 1 pt high so I immediately got a fresnel magnifier to use with it, All that being said, it does seem to work as advertised. I got a ferrite bar antenna to plug in to enable LW reception. You won't get far without a length of wire in that external antenna port. You do have a multi-level attenuator and lots of other features, though. I bought it because I travel backpacking or bkepacking in the boonies and have to travel light (and I have a TruSDX). So on my trips I should have a chance to master it. I might also take my Retekess V115 which has lots of different features. This little HRD 747 is so small and light, there is no reason to not carry it.
