Abraham, do you believe that God continues to work in the world, or do you believe that He ended His work upon earth with the completion of the final Book of the Bible? Does God not continue to inspire and call holy men and women, Saints and Martyrs, and even prophets, to follow Christ and to continue to teach His life and instructions to humanity? Are there no further miracles and conversions, great manifestations of God after the revelations of the Bible? If God no longer interacted with the world, who would hold up the stars and moon, who would keep the oceans in their place, who would keep the continuation of life upon the earth? This is the beauty of the Catholic Church: that we stand upon the three pillars of Scripture, Tradition and the Magisterium. God is present in the lives of humans, and will be until the end of time. Depends on what you mean by "the dead". We are Catholic Christians, and so we believe in eternal life. Death is the separation of the body from the soul, and the soul does not die, but is immediately saved or damned at death. When we ask the saints for prayers, we're asking the souls of those who are in Heaven. As for idolatry, the word means attributing divinity to false deities and worshipping them under the form of idols. This is a practice that has died out in the Christian West. Such things still exist in pagan countries, but we are Catholics and have nothing to do with these pagan practices. I've read the book of Exodus, and also the Letter to the Corinthians. Catholics don't worship Mary. Prayer, is not inherently an act of worship. It can be a request made to another person, that can be God or Mary or even a friend or family member. For example, "I pray you, please accompany me to church today". Also, there's a difference between worship and veneration. Worship involves adoration and sacrifice - only given to God. The church is very clear in this. Veneration on the other hand can be thought of as giving honour - much like giving a president of a country his due or giving your parents the respect they deserve. This is given to the saints and to others. Consecration to Mary though, is consecration to Jesus Christ. Think about it. All Mary ever did was be charitable (e.g. the wedding at Cana and asking for the Lord's help, visiting her cousin when she was with child and going through it), submit to God and finally she brought Jesus to others and all of us - bringing the unborn baby Jesus to her cousin and as a result they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and accepting God's will and birthing the baby Jesus (despite how dangerous it might have been) allowing for all of us to become saved through Him. There's too much to say in one comment but rest assured, give yourself to Mary and Mary will give you to the Lord Jesus Christ. So don't worry, Catholics are very Christian and any faithful catholic will tell you that Jesus is our everything! EVERYTHING! So don't fear us brother (or sister lol)😁. And keep asking questions. Yes we are brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus Christ is our Saviour, we honour and respect his mother Mary. The priest says to consecrate yourself to Jesus Christ through Mary. As he talks about the hatred in the 3rd century. He gives the history of St Sebastian a Roman soldier. Obviously, you did not even listen to 30 seconds of the video. Although today, there is persecution of Catholics is happening in the Congo, Nigeria and Mozambique where people are being murdered because of their catholic faith. The priest does not mention this at all. But he actually talked about the persecution of Catholics in 3AD . Yes 3AD!!!!

You just read the title, didn't you. He discusses the history of st Sebastian a Roman in the 3AD. Not persecution or hatred in the present time but in 3AD.

Roman Catholic is not a denomination but your group is (only branded as non-denominational) together with tens of thousands more who left the Church and formed their own group since the time of the apostles until today. Read 1John 2:19. Ever wondered why so many denominations? Because of so many interpretations of the Bible you yourselves cannot agree with. Jesus wants us to be as one (John 17:21) but why thousands of denominations? There is only one answer..because you left the Catholic Church which is one, apostolic, true church founded by Christ himself and not by Mr. Luther (a german nationalist?) or Calvin, etc.
