This game is extremely underrated, got some nice storyline going and the combat system is still impeccable despite being stage plays rather than Open World.

As much as I agree with you , I hate the early game story and gameplay, so far I would beg kuro to re~do(not completely just logical enough) the early game story, that can be understood by babies and also fix the bugs and make the gameplay Abit more fitting in the early game(also I really hate the skinny looking background for PGR stages(the building and stuff) and always felt off, specially because of HI3 which gives well made background(the stage background and a bit more chunky type enemy, all bots in PGR feels skinny and stick man type😂) Also they really need to re~market their dam game

A few reasons: -Stage based ARPG -Story isn't voiced and translations are often poorly done -Early game is a drag, and it's hard for new players to catch up without heavy spending -The introduction to the game is terrible for the above reasons, so people who were turned off by it on release may be hesitant to give it a second chance, and new players are likely to be disappointed too -Skill orbs, and other combat RNG in certain enemies' move sets and behavior -A whole lot of bugs, and patches as well as QoL updates take forever to get implemented as they want to follow the CN schedule for whatever reason -Extreme predatory monetization, on par with games like ToF that failed because of it -Limited display language options Every game has its issues, but PGR could really use some work. Hopefully they'll allocate more resources towards PGR following their success with WuWa, and start making better decisions.

Second comment: There's something you said in the video that's actually true. There's a lack of people making content talking about the game, PGR has a large community, but there are no content creators talking about the game, it's kind of funny. The game itself is already sustainable, but it ends up giving the impression of being a "dead" game. Only it isn't. For example, I'm loving the WUWA community, everyone is commenting and talking about the game, new characters, literally anything that comes out about the game has 100 videos on RU-vid talking about it. It gives that feeling of community. And this is really lacking in the PGR.

@@xkyrielynthat pov u have is dumb on top of shallow, if what you said was the case why are there no hit runs on tower/holograms on wuwa since pretty much the beta tests, and people still do them (multiple, not only 1, 2 guys). Tbh it feels the 1 game andy thing, where a person's personality is a game/console and whenever someone says something negative or gives any type of criticism towards said game they'll take it personal, plz don't be like a genshin bot.
@ikkisenjuro3729
@ikkisenjuro3729 2 месяца назад
@@tuxtron1025 He made a valid point imo. Comparing WuWa and PGR combat, both are challenging in its own right, but in WuWa most aspects are easier to manage, like dodging+parry window are more easier to achieve, very short cooldowns when switching characters, skill button limited to 1 button (2, if you count echo) + ult button, with Forte system is similar to Core Passive system in PGR. Because of this, CCs can make content no hit runs in holo even with danjin/chixia. Now in PGR, while gen 2 chars make it easier to play, the core gameplay system is their Orb Ping + Core Passive system, changing the old "skill cooldown after use" that other game in the same genre uses (you know which games i'm talking about). With Orb Ping system you're more inclined to use the skills in 3stacks to gain more dmg+effect than 1 or 2 stacks (or use 1 glowing stack after Matrix). Most CC don't really understand this concept as they just use orb as long as it appears on screen (spamming it, literally) then when they can't win a fight, they'd call the game "too hard", while it's their own fault not to understand how the gameplay mechanics work. So yes, some CCs prefer "easier games" to play and to make content for their videos, due to them having skill issues if they play "harder games". Imagine if all enemies in overworld or bosses as hard as Holo 6 Mephis with its clone, CCs and "casuals" would stop playing the game since the get go.

@HonkaiDaily
@HonkaiDaily 2 месяца назад
@@ikkisenjuro3729it's definitely not a difficulty thing as anyone willing to learn the Orb System will find it Fun and easy to use, it's even easier to parry Attacks with some Orbs for most Gen 2 Chars, it's literally just the Genre seeing as Aether Gazer and Honkai Impact 3rd also suffer from same issue of Fewer Content Creators, with Honkai having good Marketing and being part of the biggest Company in the Gacha game space yet still not having many Content Creators covering it

Day 1 player here and only ever skipped 1 patch because of some IRL stuff. I generally speaking play the game for a multitude of reasons. 1- I enjoy the 100% aspect of the game. If you have been playing since day 1, you can essentially have all the characters in the game except a couple. 2- I find the story extremely deep and very well written overall. It is hella boring at the beginning till chapter 9 or so but it gets better at 10 and a lot better on 11 onward. 3- The combat is really fast pace and exiting to me till this day. 4- The grind is very minimal, I legit finish dailies in exactly 2 mins and 30 secs. Weeklies aka PPC and Warzone take around 1 hour a week or so combined which is not too bad too. 5- The gacha system is one of the best in the scene, 100% rate up debut characters and 100% CUB on debut with 80% low pity, high rate weapon banner. It ensures that even if you are 100% f2p, you can still get all the characters as long as you do your dailies, weeklies and events. 6- Seeing future characters, events and skins on CN excite me to continue playing too. Wish we could catch up at some point, even if it is 5 years from now. 7- Kuro listening to a lot of the feedback over time which makes the game just better and better. Let me tell you, PGR as it is now is not even REMOTELY close to what it was day 1. Day 1 was actual hell LOL There is a bunch more reasons but I would say these are my main ones. Hope you enjoy your time with the game!

For the question on what makes me stick and what motivates me to continue the game: PPC and WZ is keeping me in the game weekly as I discover different rotations that work that week based on the weather (passive buffs) and improve my scores in general. Main motivation is actually getting the future units and being able to clear what combat events they give us. Story and what I feel about it: While the medium is, for casual players and those who doesn't want to read is the worst format one could showcase the story. For others, and me who actually read through (yes, even the starting 1-8 chapters), there are moments there that are more immersive that those of the open-world medium that is, in my opinion the games strong point when it comes to the story telling. There's a reason light novels and visual are still popular these days after all. Global current patch discussion compared to CN: Your view there is really valid as people, even on global side is on the topic of, what is happening on the CN-side of the story. There is some discussions about the current patches but it's buried deep within discord channels and whatnot. There's still a value discussing the current patch, as the experience is probably different from the CN-translated vs the localized one.

To me, challenging content of PGR always was the answer. Warzone and PPC are there to give out pull currency, but that's not where the fun actually was for me. Clearing Babel towers, Norman on the hardest difficulty as well as clearing all of Strongholds is what kept me motivated. They weren't just a mindless grind, but an actual challenge that required good teambuilding, some tactics and effort.

I have been playing PGR for a full year now and I've been active daily. The main drive to play is the gameplay itself, the story (if you don't hate reading/Visual Novels) and that's pretty much it. Outside of these, it IS a gacha game, with everything that entails (monetization, waifu collection, etc) along with its issues (whale culture, FOMO and such). From a gameplay perspective, it is solid, very well executed with amazing design in terms of visuals, game feel, soundtrack and of course challenge. The story aspect is wordy since it is presented like a Visual Novel, primarily due to data and budget constraints since fully animated and voiced cutscenes would bloat the game's size and cost. However, the game's story is done well if you have patience and want to invest, possibly one of the better written gacha-games out there. The lack of content is partly because of the community being very small and the game appealing to a niche demographic of people who enjoy either hardcore/punishing (pun intended) gameplay OR story writing that explores more somber emotions since the world portrayed is pretty bleak. Another reason you don't see patch overviews is as you mentioned because everything is set in stone since the original version releases on the CN server a year ahead so the anticipation has faded by the time a patch hits Global. Besides that, videos that are not Character overviews/guides and the like simply do not do well on RU-vid and this applies for many games, not just PGR and the only other content is usually people flexing their score/kill times from WZ or PPC and occassional "no hit perfect clear" boss footage. My takeaway is that this game being niche and having a very set-in-stone roadmap along with a very specific game loop focusing primarily on time attack scoring ladder, there is not much to interact about with people except comparing waifus and sharing experiences on story points. That being said, I hope everyone who tries this game at least has some fun with it. It will never be a big hit with a large audience but as log as the few people who play have fun, that's all that matters.

Story and combat for me. I started a fresh account around the anniversary event and to be honest its going pretty good. PGR is a marathon and not a sprint pretty much like honkai impact 3rd that means in order to get the good stuff u gota grind your way and stick to the game. And that doesn't bother me at all. Overall PGR is considered to be one of the best if not the best ARPG gacha games out there that rewards players for their skills like wuthering waves. The game is a 💯 for me.
@doedoel035
@doedoel035 2 месяца назад
I mostly log in, do the dailies and then do my weekly occasionally. Sometimes I do Cursed Waves, but not too often to avoid being bored from it. I kind of don't mind not having stuff to do in the game, both here and WuWa, because my satisfaction comes from seeing my characters fully invested and combat ready, per se. Though, it would be beneficial to have more content creators for PGR, although there's not much to talk about since we already know the future events.

I'm a warzone junkie. I'll spend hours tryharding for an extra wave, experimenting with different rotations. PPC is ok but it would be cooler if they were actual threats instead of being punching bags you are trying to beat down super fast. The story is amazing and I'm completely caught up with it. I do look forward to some of the changes that have been made to CN like the stylish mode and the condensed PPC. New Norman is also somewhat exciting but is kinda dampened with all the gen 2 time stop and i-frame mechanics. I wish Babel tower was around more often or even permanent with a rotating boss selection. Babel Tower gives you a reason to care about older units which is awesome. I have high hopes for the future of the game and will continue to support it.

For me story, combat, and music keeps me coming back. As for my daily/weekly cycle, I primarily just do whatever is necessary, and at times once in a blue moon there’s a day or so that I’ll go through stuff like Recitativo and Cursed Waves to progress. Overall though my thoughts on the game is that it’s still very good even after nearly 3/4.5years (EN/CN). One of my main gripes is the game being niche so I don’t have anyone in my personal friend groups that ever really wants to talk about the game, and that I wish Kuro could do something to incentivize more interest in the game sorta like how Cygames made Granblue Versus and Relink, but instead of being a supplementary side story, have them adapt the main story (up to certain points) into a full $60 console title with full voice acting and some minor tweaks to the storytelling to be more interesting for players like you that don’t really want to dedicate the attention to full-on reading so much text.

I read the story up until Fake Ascension, then stopped because I felt burned out of all the reading. I feel like the story is good but the storytelling is not, I think if they invested in voice acting + animating the character sprites for the story chapters it would be amazing (it has evolved since the beginning but it still lacks a little imo, they could also make 2d animations for story cutscenes omg it would be so cool). In terms of end game, I'm just enjoying the events, battles, still building my characters and saving for future characters I want. I don't care about meta so I just pull for characters I like and try to enjoy the game casually, and so far it's been fun! I'm a Hyperlee main and waiting for S rank Watanabe to come out WATA ILY

Reasons i still keep playing: 1.Combat (i still can't find any hack and slash game on mobile that can top this game) 2. Characters (Characters are likeable... less character pool makes more deeper story on every character) 3. Story (I hate the visual novel style cus i don't want to read wall of text on my phone...it hurts my eyes.. I'd rather read a book...but the actual content is really good that's why i really like it, wish it had voice over so i can just listen to it rather than reading small text on the bottom of screen) 4. QoL and time management (game had a lot of QoL -auto clears, norman sweep, claim all, etc...main source of BC is from weeklies -warzone/paincage..means u can do everything on weekends, yes u can...WZ has exploit that u can do the "12 wz runs" on one sitting and complete it day one, devs prolly know this but they don't fix it which is good i guess 💀 5. Generous despite being a gacha (free stuff everywhere, my serums just expiring cus i don't know where to use it... my mats are 999, my inventory is full, i can fully build a char any day i want...got all my A ranks to SSS/SSS+ like seriously i don't know where to put all my mats) 6. Devs are not stingy unlike from a certain game i used to play

I agree with most of the stuff you've said in this video here're some of my thoughts as a day one low spender player: -Events in this game are most of the time straight up boring for me. There are few exceptions to this but I rarely am excited to try out new events, so I can see why most people don't talk about these unless the event gives an important reward (like a coating for example) -I won't comment on story since I've kinda lost interest a while ago, but from what I've experienced so far, I can tell that story pacing and non-boss encounters really hold the game's story back. I know it has some decent amount of lore and interesting stuff going on, but I just can't find myself reading it when stuff inbetween ruins the experience for me. -Even though they're fun gamemodes like Norman, PPC, Warzone can get repetitive real quick. Which also can cause burn out for many players out there. -The patch durations are quite long for the amount of content we get imo, some may disagree and that's completely understandable but most of my friends and guild members agree on the fact after first 10-15 days of the patch, it gets quite a chore to login and do stuff because of this. The reasons I've listed above can answer the question why the community is the way it is, when stuff like these are present with the game neither players or content creators are thrilled to make/consume content of the game in my opinion. As for why I am STILL playing the game: -The game is really low-spender/F2P friendly and I just like to collect and play with new characters. -Vanguard Sound's music and new bosses are the biggest reasons why I look forward to each new patch. -I love the game's overall combat and how it feels. -It doesn't take much to clear daily/weekly content if we exclude events

The story is fire and the combat is peak. Also Chrome's in it. In all seriousness: it's F2P friendly where weekly BC don't rely on placement only participation; I like that there's stages instead of an open world; it respects my time; the characters are actually fleshed out and don't disappear later in the story, they always reappear at some point lore-wise; I like the stakes in the story, it adds onto existing lore and doesn't just introduce a cosmic threat out of nowhere to drive it; the humour genuinely makes me laugh sometimes. Only complaint is not enough Chrome. We need more of him and his fake-ahh English accent lmao

From someone who started in Floating Reverie. Quite a handful of things keeping me motivated (Ofc there is more but I'll give 3): - Future Characters. They all look fun and I'm looking forward to building them. As of right now I'm working on creating a male-only team with *-Aeon Reforged-* and I'd say its going somewhere (I lost Hyperreal's sig to Noan's 💀) - Gameplay. The games combat is really flashy. I love the animations, the effects, and how easy the mechanics are to pick up. The daily grinding is also very fast and easy to do, taking no more than 5 minutes fo do everyday. And thank god the memories don't have rng on them (Ignoring resonance) so I don't have to spend weeks for an optimal stat+substat piece. - System Requirement. Now I'm mostly playing on an average laptop + an old phone, sometimes I'd play on a PS4. I don't have the system requirements or storage to run or install some games at atleast 40 FPS like WuWa, CS2, EVE Online, Genshin, etc. PGR is one of those games that I can run and enjoy (Really just PGR, GD, Terraria and TF2) Should someone new start playing PGR right now? Yeah, why not. I may not be playing for long but I'm satisfied with my current roster, those being: Lee: Hyperreal (From Beginner banner at 14 pulls) Liv: Luminance (S rank selector but we don't talk about this) Alpha: CA (S rank selector, I don't regret this one) No. 21: Feral (Debut Banner, also very fun) The 3 "free" Amplifiers Right now I'm just focusing on getting Alpha: CW, *-Cradle Parade-* and the before mentioned male character

The norman revival plan has auto-clear in the latest patch for both "Elimanation" and "Cover Tactics". All that you need to run is the "Stratum Mine" and "Bollie Mine". In my case, I maxed out the buff for "Bollie Mine" so I can clear it without too much difficulty as I am still missing a lot of characters in various teams.

As a veteran, you don't need to necessarily main PGR cuz this is a game that is already comfortable & respects ur time to play especially as an f2p like myself... With so much gameplays I can just casually do, pet my lil kiddos in the dorm, read some story, get some goodass rewards and most importantly you can even just go crazy on this game with hard difficulties on certain events any time u want at all. The characters are just too insane with kuro gameplays so that at least also keeps me going in PGR

I thought the story was boring too until I started making an effort to read it around ch11. It kept getting better & better and peaked on ch17. I kinda had forced myself to invest on the characters but it was worth it since story progression is something i now look forward to. And yes fake ascension was tedious as hell. Luckily later chapters aren't like it.

I love the game, the combat especially. I haven't played any game with this stylish and a very combo based gameplay so thats one of the things i love and the reason why i started playing again because of that fun combat experience. I must say there are a lot of stuff that is very time consuming in the game and a lot of waiting especially when ur lvl is low but other than that the game is a masterpiece and very underrated

What keeps me going is the weekly ppc and wz, to challenge myself against all players in the server, as well as what's to come from the CN side, the story gets to its peak when you get to survival lucem, and even if I'm not caught up with the story now, I can always continue anytime I'm free. In any case, I don't see myself deleting the game anytime soon.

I'm not trying to be a fan boy, but the gameplay is the best among all gachas. There is also the story and lore = 100% Nier Automata, which is my favorite game. The game has many different events and game modes, it's not like WUWA (which I also play) or Genshin Impact, where there comes a time when you just enter the game to spend your energy for the day, which is already low. The game really is a find, you can spend hours playing it if you want with incredible gameplay. Obviously if the game was in an open world or at least 50/50 maybe it would be cooler. But I really like the game a lot and I don't plan on stopping playing anytime soon.

I can't see it being very doable though, I've been playing f2p since the first week back in 2021 global release and I always stall out on the 13/14 fight due to the timer and can't complete the fights. Sometimes the game has a hard damage cap layer that you just can't beat, like what happes in warzone after you hit hero and every dude is p2w or norman war at cloud island. And it's not like the reward is that worth it since we earn enough black cards to pull characters but anything more than that is a risk so spending them on a weapon that has 20% chance of failure that would still need ressonance to even have the new buffs applied. It's great if you're a spender and already have op characters at SSS rank or higher with their 6 star weapons but anyone else gets the curb.

I somehow find myself never getting bored of this game, arguably the only gacha game that respects my time and effort, HSR comes 2nd. I just like every aspect about It (Except some events), from gameplay to story to OSTs to character designs to Its F2P nature... you name It. Now I understand that the VN style of story telling isn't everyone's cup of tea, but since the likes of chapter 15 (Last spark) onward, the story became so good that I overlooked Its style an started to actually embrace It. Other than that, I can say that the game is super extremely underrated for what It offers, I only have positive things to say about It, the game is improving massively and rapidly, also Kuro as a company is great, hence why we trusted that WuWa will always keep on delivering.

The combat and the story. Being able to use the different gameplay styles the characters have. I really like the story of PGR so I'm excited whenever a new patch drops so I can keep experiencing the story. I want to see what happens to all the characters and the world. I miss the interludes though. But the additional story modes makes up for it I guess. I love the characters so much. And the fact that Kuro makes each character upgrades through frames only builds more to mostly same characters, only making me love them more.

For me it's the combat and the story. Back when I first played, I was very confused on what to do. I was even debating on dropping it (I started playing on Qu/Changyu release patch). A few months later, I logged in just to see what was new. It was on the patch A Last Spark (S-Vera's patch), and I saw in the events tab that a new story had opened. I thought that this story was limited (as event stories are in most gacha games), so I rushed to read it before it was 'gone'. I didn't realize that it was actually the new main chapter of the actual story. Anyways, just reading The Last Spark is literally what got me to stay in the game. The Last Spark was *so* good that it got me to give PGR another try. I tried out Garnet in the trail zone and I thought she was so exciting to play in combat. The Matrix aspect of combat is also one of the factors that really drew me in. Now, in Alisa's patch, I have almost all the characters except the old standard S-ranks and some uns. Another thing that keeps me playing, and kept be playing back then, is the hard combat. I remember getting my ass kicked in early PPC back when I started, and I was like "I *want* to get better and be stronger in this", so, I kept playing it. Now I always get all the rewards in Ultimate PPC, and can mostly max out the combat events, though some of the last stages are hard, even with my strongest chara which is 7k BP Crimson Weave. 7k might not be a lot for whales, but I've been F2P this entire time so I'm proud of the strength of my teams. Just recently, in N21's patch, I cleared Babel fully for the very first time. But still, I have hard combat left- I can't seem to beat the new endgame mode for the weapon memory things (I forgot what they're called). TLDR, the game is just insanely fun in terms of combat and amazing in story. It hooked me in for sure!! Also, if I wanted to comment on the current global version, I would say Alisa is such a fun unit to play, and she massively increased my phys team's dmg. Physical has always been my favorite anyways, so while it's sad to see my fully-leaped Luminance go, I'm glad Alisa fits her role perfectly. I somehow got Bianca's snow goddess coating with some BC I saved up! I genuinely don't think I'll EVER replace Rosetta when S-Hanying comes out, though. Rosetta will forever be my favorite and I will play her forever.

In my opinion, and I also mentioned it in the suggestions for PGR, it needs a game mode that unites the community, something that is replayable, something that one can put hours into but interacting with the community, like a "Cursed Waves" style but multiplayer (where there is a lot of playability with the modifiers and team compositions). Since with the current coop I feel that it is quite forgettable, which makes the game quite "individualistic". And talking about the campaign, I think we all hope that one day they will give it a little facelift in the way they tell it. It literally looks like a manga (which is not bad, but when you want to turn off your brain, reading is not very pleasant). For example, they could add texts narrated by the characters to give a little more immersion or make the story more bearable (Like a Wuthering Waves style). I don't want to bother anyone, much less am I saying that the campaign is bad, I just want the game to be more accessible than it is, and to be able to play with the community with better quality (in addition to have the opportunity evangelize my friends to play PGR with me). I love this game, but i can love it much more with this ideas for example. ;(

I mald WZ a lot. When I was an SS low invest player, I too used to think that it's just a p2w gamemode. But what changed that was seeing another dude with a p similar invest as mine get much higher scores, and that made me realise that damn, this game's skill ceiling is not just what it seems. Some shit happened, now I'm an SSS/SSS+ malder, but being so has made me realise that the skill ceiling is still higher than where I am, especially comparing to other players and stuff. Don't get me wrong, it's still a P2W gamemode, more so than it has ever been, but this is gonna sound cheesy as fk but PGR had me realise that just because those with better situations, contexts, and shi doesn't mean what I have control over with, which is myself, can't be improved. Hence I started malding and grinding this kuso game. I shit you not, PGR had me start focusing on self-improvement a lot. Hence it's never gonna not have a special place in my heart, even if Lamia's white orb go missing for no reason, any of the Alphas gets knocked over by the wind, Balter ruins the mobs' groupings, Envoys jump to the middle of the ocean 0.002s after spawning, Daren with bathlon spawns in 22112 orbs and can't charge, Arisa's core just disappears despite charging it up, plume spawns in with 8 blue, plume gets knocked down by the wind, Rosetta misses her qte, Balter misses her ults, mobs spawns 3200m away from where I am, etc. PGR will always hold a good place in my heart

Well, I enjoy everything about PGR, the story, the characters, the systems, PGR is super generous, each two months you can get all the new characters. I keep playing to fight and enjoy the characters I spend time and resources in, to collect my waifus, Lamia is coming next week and since I read the story, I'm in love with her since she appeared. I enjoy doing warzone and pain cage, where I can put some tryhard skills into play (although I hate doing ultimate pain cage, but it'd giving me more skulls than advanced). And about what Rexlent said, it's true, PGR is a game nowadays that's hard to catch up, but only if you care about meta. The game releases a new relevant characters every two months, it's different from other gacha games that are always doing irrelevant releases here and there. But really, if you don't care about meta teams, just build what you have and enjoy, I started playing on April 30th, I have all the characters except for Bianca Stigmata and Karenina Scire, which Is personally skipped to fix some things in my account, but hey, next patch I'll get Bianca for free and later on, get Karenina Scire with a free s rank selector

Gray Raven Radio is all we need really. Lina nad Ivy nails it, most of pgr youtube videos is just a flex no hit run on hard bosses or flex on clearing malding content with style. As for me personally what I do is I like the rouge gamemodes on PGR they can add more indepth mechanics to the gameplay and come up with some fun builds to experiment around. But I play it because it's fun and as what I get from palying is rewarding so when new S rank debuts I can actually get it unlike some other games. Ep 13 Fake Ascension I can understand the frustration of it alone. tho TIP you should do norman as it gives free 6* wep reso and free pet copies, don't sleep on Cover Tactics as they make it that you can auto them so free pet tickets for no effort.

I'm at honor level 69 (basically at max level) and playing since launch. The only reason I stay playing PGR is just because of the combat. there is no other game that has this level of combat but also easy to play on your phone. For what I do in the game is just doing weeklies (like PPC, Warzone, and that Guilds fights that I forget the name) and pull any new character that release in the update (if you skip the weapon and doing all the event, you'll roughly got 15k of BC which is enough to 60 pull).

At this point I'm all caught up on story, just doing dailies and weeklies to grind out mats and currency. The story especially this patch has been balls to the wall, and the new derived from matrix mode was very addicting. While I would have appreciated a guide or something for that I was able to figure things out on my own, which might be a reason people don't make content? Another reason could be not enough content creators play, or there isn't widespread interest enough for videos specifically for them to make them as opposed to other content. No CCs I've seen have tried at least.

I've lost some passion for the game since launch, so I stopped playing every mode available, but I still hold some anticipation whenever new S rank patch is coming. Standard routine: dailies/weeklies, spend serum on event materials -> rng roll for perfect resonance on priority unit -> complete new event challenges when they drop. This game sadly had been niche since launch with an unhealthy amount of haters til this day, and we all know it is extremely confusing for new players, so lack of content creators is unsurprising. Here's the perspective of a HI3 veteran (JP Server 2017-2019), PGR (Global 2022+, CN 2023+) and someone who frequents the CN/JP circles: By all means, PGR is a niche experience, and has always been a bit of an underdog game in the gacha sphere. Since it basically is like a Kurogame's take on HI3's gameplay, which i have to admit, felt extremely stiff back in the day when this rivalry was born. In recent years, PGR has been on the up end in recognition, especially within the Global community, but the steep gameplay learning curve still keeps it niche enough. It's why there isn't really much content on it, aside from gameplay footage. For people who have been giving some non-gameplay related content for the gameplay, there was formerly 21stNight and Doomy, really old veterans that have been around since the CN release, and although they have mostly moved on from playing the Global version, preferring to stay upto date with the CN/Bili servers (only the client is different actually btw, the Servers remain mostly the same), there have been some recent ones for Global server, like as you mentioned ConnorsThoughts and Gray Raven Radio (the owner of which managed the Gray Raven website btw). The somewhat big names like Rexlent, Narushio and very sparingly, Moteyaba, do make content talking about the lore of the game (mostly on livestreams sadly), for the smaller names, you have stuff like CrimsonFacePalmTree (my mentor btw), SnowyPlays, but these two have largely left doing that for Global server either and just focused on keeping within their own social circles and play the CN server, just like 25thNight. People like Sean2B and Etomori on the RU-vid Side, CeoOfSegs and Ascnets on Twitter side, still doing relatively lore summaries and player guide and story readings (although have stopped keeping up with basically all 4 of these). Some underrated people like MarcoMeatball, CareFreeDot and SW4 who all are sticking to their respective circles while occasionally doing some content creation for PGR (and some names that i havent mentioned, like Tsunui, Eil or Demo, to name a few, who have basically moved largely into other content or just WW, instead of making PGR related stuff anymore). But as some people have pointed out, most people who actually really care about the game, have largely remained or moved to the CN side, whether that be becoming Bili creators, or just making unlisted or twitch streams for it (mostly happens during the start and end of CN patches). Or the obvious, community discords, where they resign and talk about their subjects. 25thNight, Rexlentcord, and one-more-who-shall-not-be-named still holds the majority of PGR related discussions and small content creation aspects. So they aren't really dead, but rather, the 1 year gap between CN and Global server, with us being the most lagging server, and people just stop having any real interest in covering Global server content, unless they really do try to not keep up with future content (y'know, like Connor tries). There's a lot of these people who are very likely to make content/get back into content creation, but either have been burnt out of the content grind lifestyle (it's been years afterall) or just know that making them for the global market wont do much since most of EN -can't read- have no idea what is going on in the future gameplay and story sides of PGR and even if one tries to explain it, it's a herculean effort to really pack 1 year worth of that without coming off as humongous a script, like this entire paragraph size has been. So it's really just a 'Not worth the effort' mindset that has kept this much a barrier between the really niche hardcore circles and the public circles of the game. It's why i barely even manage to keep up with the conversations these Dalaos (chinese word for basically 'big brother/bigshot'), who have a lot more experience with the game and will explain gameplay or lore concepts you needed to have been around/experienced yourself by experimenting a lot, that they talk in. It's not really gatekeeping, but it's very much a communication barrier, with neither side that much invested in breaking it down. Something i forgot to mention is, yeah WW's launch brought a lot of traffic into PGR, as people try to check it out, but it barely has actually affected the PGR community, since it is a vastly different experience to play, and these people have been labeled (a bit derogatively) as "Tourists". Basically people who stick around for a month or so, get walled by the early game problem or bad tutorials, slow account progression and boring story, quit, all while maintaining the "I love the game but...." And the community has seen this cycle for basically all their existence, so this isn't new. People get really filtered, and those who stick around to keep playing, usually prefer the solo experience and just stick to that, only doing small dissertations into story and (mostly) combat related talks, within enclosed spaces. Because really... how do you engage with an audience, when to play the game, you barely will have a viewership? (as it is a game that is 'meant to be played to feel how good it is, as opposed to watching', as per the larger community. Because frankly, PGR's flashy animations are on the middling tier, compared to the rest of the gacha industry) And those who do, will have a lot of effort to go through for summarization, and the game just doesn't have that much or a recognition, to have players who are proficient at both (or atleast interested in) combat and story/side contents, to provide content for the public other than just them reacting to characters doing stuff on screen.

As for my own thoughts on this video, i think your points are a bit off. You aren't really at the endgame yet, for both gameplay or story aspects. And while that is understandable, i do suggest you sticking around till you get there, before formulating what will make you stick with the game. From my perspective - The leaderboards aren't really whale dominated, especially not in the Global servers. Not only are the real tryhards in the game (who prefer to whale for it as well), have mostly moved into CN servers, because that's where the real challenges and competitive nature lies (i wish i could explain in words, the difference in gameplay prowess the average CN player has over the Global playerbase), but also... thats where most of the QoL is. For the Global servers, Asia-Oceania server is the most competitive out of the 3, and even there, the playerbase effort is only around 0.3% of what CN puts in. There is only around like 200+ or a bit more of actual tryhards on the server at the moment (we just call it the SEA server btw), a number that has been declining very sharply the last 2 years, as i witnessed these Top Guild/PPC/WZ/Babel players slowly move to the CN server due to the heavy 1 year delay. But funniest of all, North maerican server is like the most hit by this, as out of the SEA and NA server folks quitting the game to go play something else or just play CN, NA had the most exodus. Nowadays, NA server is largely barren, with not even the top 100 players having enough players of the tryhard nature, and guilds slowly dying off due to negligence. As for Europe server... We don't talk about EU (it's the most dead server of them all, with barely anyone playing it, and i mean not competitively, but at all). So yeah.... It's funny to think of it, but all these people you see scoring that high on the leaderboard, making you feel that they clearly have the whale money advantage... they are actually either F2Ps (like me haha) or Dolphins that probably have spent less than 200 dollars in the game the last 4 years of it's lifespan. The only time you will meet *real whales* is in Legend WZ, the top 100 in PPC Ultimate zone, and Guild Siege leaderboards. every other leaderboard, even babel max scores, are actually fairly dominated by F2Ps, as funny to think. It really is just a long term player advantage, be that by having a full team or every element, or just having more experience and how to abuse the game's AI. - Norman used to have the powerscaling issue, and frankly, a gamemode i skip myself too because of how long it can take. But it's been really improved recently, and will be even more by the end of this year for Global server. They will basically streamline the mode a lot to be like the CN version, which cuts down the time investment into the mode by half and allow auto clear for 5/7 Mines. So i understand why people skip it now, but later it will be better, yes. That is what i appreciate the devs doing, listening to the community grips (sadly only really CN community, but they are trying to change supposedly) - The side events are.... yeah they are mostly a hit or a miss. They sometimes hold mini-stories that are pretty enjoyable, thankfully, but it's largely just a completion check, and since you only need to do like the bare minimum to get all of the rewards (the challenging content only giving badges or insignificant rewards), they are passable enough. - The game really is just an attendance check. like 90% of the game's actual rewards you just get from logging in once a day, spending your serums (thankfully they will raise the cap to 240 by the end of the year), opening base and choosing the dorm commissions and quitting (unless you prefer to actually do the dorm dailies, but that's really optional, and thankfully, a recent CN server QoL for the base greatly reduces the tedium, by making it all be a one-tap switch), opening guild and checking your fortune (only for the free serum), spending all of the serum in auto-clears of stages, collecting your dailies, doing your Warzone or PPC if it the a Saturday/Sunday of the week, and quitting. Everything else is optional and the reward discrepancy isn't that high, though it *will* add up over time, so plan accordingly. For this reason, people play PGR the way they do, as side game game, because the combat will fill the engaging interest of the player on the day they are actually itching for gameplay (or just bored), and otherwise the game takes less than 4 minutes average daily to maintain your Account, which can't be said for most gacha games on the market (and i would know, i have played several. It was something that used to plague HI3 back in the day too, sadly enough). And with the QoL on CN side, like warzone being made into 2 stages and only 1 cycle per week, PPC being streamlined, team building given more options (with the void affinity), boss challenges being reworked, and tons of stuff that mostly help reduce the tedium of the player, it really should stay that way, a "side game". And people don't really care as deeply to make content for a side game... so it's understandable.

So TL;DR There definitely are content creators around, but they mostly stick to CN side because Global server is so far back. The game doesn't have as much going for it aside from the very short daily grind, so most people overlook the other aspects of the game (like story or mini-game optimizations). Those who actually care for these, end up trying to stay in their own circles, because there just isn't as much of a demand for this in public. PGR has always been the niche game that focuses on the combat experience, and the public largely play for it and it only. And the rest of the content that they could want to experience, can be found within their small content circles, or just... compiled on a story segment recording channel (like Narushio), that they can experience from. As for me, i just really enjoy the diet-Yoko Taro game we have here. Kurogames really do take inspiration from the man, and i love it for that just really, that's all. Also the combat really makes me stay around, even if i can barely read Chinese kanji so ahaha...
