I have in my possession, the Gillette, 1909 or 1911 I guess you’re called the wet shave. It was my great grandfathers who was born in 1882 and was a prolific speaker and teacher and that was his razor blade and I’m gonna use it from Now On. Thanks

Just started about 1 months ago wet shaving after I stumbled on to a Geofatboy video and that changed everything. After watching videos for about 1 week of binge watching I made my first order to get my new Mekur 34C HD and some other supplies. About 2 weeks in I thin ordered a few different blades to try and that's were I'm at today. Already planning another order for another DE Razor. I really enjoy the Geofatboy videos.

You got me into double edge and then straightedge shaving what 8 plus years ago? It’s the only way I shave, and my son is learning now. Love your vids and if you were in the UK I’d be all over your store. Keep it up Geo!

I have started shaving with safety razors in 2011 after seeing a video by geofatboy which he made for a friend or relative. Never went back to cartridge since then. I have several safety razors and a couple of brushes. The razors can last a lifetime. The quality shaving soaps and creams last much longer than what comes in the pressurised cans. Overall shaving became very pleasurable, not to mention way cheaper.

Great video Geo short sharp (pun intended) and to the point no fluffing around with stories of different scents and such like - one of my pet dislikes about shaving videos - going on about notes of this and that instead of just staying it smells like whatever it is some of the shave vids you think you were talking about a fine wine LOL!! Wondering if anyone can help me out. I’m pretty new still to safety razor shaving. Still a beginner. Used it a handful of times. I know practice makes perfect. But I’m just wondering if I’m doing something wrong. I make pretty decent lathers with a shaving brush. But it still at times seems dry on my skin after a shaving pass. I always hear about how some soaps have good slickness but I’m not getting it. I’ve used arko soap and proraso cream. My other issue is it seems no matter where I hold the razor it doesn’t take hair off quickly. I use a Murkur 23C. And I’ve used pretty sharp blades. Feather. Gillette 7oclock. Sharks. But it never seems to get the hairs off as quick as it seems in some people’s shaving videos.

i've invested myself in traditional wet shaving for the last few months. i am enjoying every part of it (cremes, soaps, brushes, alum blocks, after shaves) except the safety razor. even with the sharpest of blades it doesnt seem to slice through my whiskers. guess its not for everyone. prolly gonna stick with cartridge/electric razors

if you enjoy it, you could try a slant razor, or a single edge AC razor since they seem to be more efficient than standard DEs, as a last resort, if cartridges do it for you, you could do still do the prep and wet shaving process with a cart; it is bound to give you better results than can foams/gels.
