I saw this trailer in theaters when I saw dune. The entire thing was completely silent, but I thought it was intentional. Turns out we had an audio issue in the theatre, but it was honestly so powerful

Story telling is different than originality. There isn't an original (novel) idea or concept on display here. That is we have seen it all before. The only question is - once we set aside our disbelief in the ludicrous plot - is how well they tell the story. We have seen this setup over and over. I would point out that the reason "Jaws" and "Alien" and "Predator' were so successful was because of the very fact that the monsters were barely seen in most of the movie. This made the horror and suspense all the greater. Now consider the extended Jaws and Aliens franchises, and what bad movies they produiced. When your monster is not only revealed, but becomes major star in the films, their suspense value is eliminated and all you have to rely on is script and filmmaking: something modern Hollywood is virtually incapable of doing well. @@Logypoo

1:10 I want to focus on this part right here. So, she coughs and alerts the Death Angels, but, with the screen shaking we can say that she attracted a Horde of them. Which is terrifying. Keep in mind the other two movies we always had 1 Death Angels hunting down our characters at a time, with the occasional 2. But this time its potentially Hundreds if not Thousands of them, and that, is horrifying.

Lupita Nyong'o is easily one of the best actress when it comes to the horror genre. She was amazing in Us so I'm so looking forward to see her leading this movie, what a fantastic addition. Couldn't have gotten anyone else better than her for a spin off movie 🙌

Yes, I loved Us. It’s my favorite Jordan Peele movie. I didn’t really care for Nope & found their “dyslexia” … “joke” in bad taste. I appreciated Get Out but I wasn’t a big fan of it. I’ve rewatched Us like at least 7 times though.

What people have said to me is that he's a psychopath who turns on a smile and is a great guy when anyone famous is around, but that he's incredibly emotionally abusive to crew, is manipulative, and that he asks too much of them, and that he becomes furious and pushes stunt people to violate security rules and endanger themselves. I've heard two different people say that they've met plenty of bad people in the business, but that he is by far the worst.
