Haha, feels wierd answering this 2 years later, i was the Rex i was walking to gf. I'm not the guy to blame other things for me being bad. But oh boy i was laging, which as you saw i was biting opposite direction and i was crouching bite straight ahead. Also i wasen't very good, but that lag oh man
This video brings up a good point about a suggestion that I am not sure if anyone has brought to the attention of the devs for EVRIMA. The feedback that you get from landing a bite is not distinct enough (various wines, or small roars indicating pain). And for those who are trying to do the math and work out the calculations necessary to achieve a kill, it can pose a problem. There needs to be more pronounced feedback from landing a bite. As for the rex, indeed, he may not have been the best but I am very glad to see he did not just sit down and give up. He gave it his best, and he will get better. (And thank you for the compliment. Your HG Utahs work hard to be respected by those solo rexes ;p )
YEAH! (Btw I love your profile pic!) Either we get a amazing fight between experienced hunters/fighters, or in this case we witness a person learning a valuable lesson. I've seen people mention in videos/comments that it's mean to target newer players but you can't baby noobies because players need to learn the harshness of The Isle's or certain servers are. I always thanked the person who bested me, or after killing a newcomer after realizing that they're new I'd give some tips in global for them. Aaand either they're thankful, become friends with me for a more friendly learning side-by-side experience or become toxic which usually means they don't last in that server/the isle.
I thought I was the only one that felt that way regarding the audio queues of certain dinos; glad to see others pin-pointing the difficulties. In all honesty rex is the main offender along side its various standard 1 and 3 calls being similar in tone. Really hope the devs can touch on that subject and implement very distinct queues so you know you've been bit 100% instead of merely guessing.
Magnificent Trashcan True, but at least there is a few good devs like TapWing, paradym got fired, and I hope Dondi steps down soon, I enjoy the game a bunch, but it would be better if Dondi sold it to a good company
teofilo ljubisavljevic actually, they said he stepped down, but I suspect they fired him and labeled it as resignation to avoid public humiliation for para- either way we’re better off without para
Sticky didn't mean the "be nice" respect, he meant the "you pose a danger and I understand that" kind of respect. The rex kept their ass facing sticky which is the worst thing you could do as a rex to something that turns better than you, aka an acro. Even if you think they could be nice, stay facing them until they pass.
@@faraononanhutep7750 Respect has two commonly used meanings. 'Respecting someone as a person,' and 'respecting someone as an authority' I think are the best ways to say it. This falls into the latter definition. The word respect is frequently used in fights for a very similar reason as Sticky used it here. I know this rex was trying to be friendly. In that case, they were respecting Sticky through the first defintion. They're being nice to him. However they did not respect the possibility of a fight, or that Sticky could very easily kill them if they left themse3lves open like that. That being said, I get the feeling this person was new to rex and may have assumed an acro wasn't a worry (which is also disrespectful lol)
Hey sticky a trick i learned the other day with acro. While you are laying down you can hold W and double tap H to get up and immediately lay back down. Then the next time you get up you can sprint and bit or walk, basically do anything. You negate the getting up animation. Good for baiting rex’s into wasting stam
Sticky, I wanted to let you know that your acro vs rex videos come in handy! I'm an acro main on the server I play on. And I cant tell you how your videos have saved my life and allowed me to hunt rexes. I'm now considered the rex killer on the server I am on
I think I recognize sheera name from BoB , were you ever an admin on any server? And yes im still super excited to see anything in a dinosaur game, little things like that juvie rex at the end just look so hilarious sometimes, im 25 years old and these dinosaurs games are something that actually brings me joy these days, unfortunately my pc is in storage atm but the videos motivate me to play again!
Almost no one considers it an apex, because it doesn’t have comparable bite force and health stats. I really don’t consider it to be an apex. Sticky only managed to kill that Rex because it made a mistake.
@@maximosaurus042nd you dont need heal and biteforce to make an apex. Acro doesn't need health and biteforce cuz it has insane speed and very good bleed. it just takes 6 bites to bleed a rex and 5 for giga. even sticky himself says its an apex EDIT: a very high skill apex
Frédéric Chopin | With practice i can see anyone be good at playing with Acro. I’m saying that I never in my life would lose to an Acro, I’m too good. But I’m better playing with Giga, even tho that fact wasn’t relevant. Your arguments i respect.
Still remember those good old progression times, when Acro did 30 bleed and there was no surviving bleed when sitting. One Acro bite and you knew you were screwed, lol. It also had more stam back then. Good times...
@@gigachad3945 his health is 6500 even though the weight is 5800, this makes it so that your bone break chance is divided by 2 whenever you fight shants and camas, this also means trikes deal more damage to you and you deal less to them than the character screen. Weight is also the factor which makes Spinos really tanky, able to facetank a stomping trike and makes allos able to 2 shot utahs
Depends on servers. Sandboxes let you choose whatever in Legacy Isle. Survival like this most servers have either a patreon/point/event system to get them! Or- like me you get lucky by getting nest invites!
I def learned my lesson when I was a new player to the game. NEVER turn your back on another player. Even if you 2 call. If they don't 2 call back, thats a good enough sign they wanna kill you. Don't let them being the same species fool you too. I was killed by a cannibal allo group (x3) that I wanted to join. They were 1 calling in the distance & I 1 called to. BIG mistake. They used me 1 calling to find me. I didnt know THEY were that cannibal group. When they approached me, I turned my back thinking all was good. They killed me immediately.
It would be cool if he plays more in sandbox and Test stuff out or do serious and exciting fights like Rex Vs rex or Giga vs spino Yes giga vs spino is possible it just Takes like 1 Hour or more
@Jonathan There are a few ways like brake Test, left Turn hitbox or turn left and Right or crouch bite up and down. That rex didnt Even walk that mutch in the Video it looked like the rex just bought the Game on the same day lmao maybe quit as well xd
I seen one happen. We were in a herd and it took in a rex but I think the rex killed something else in the fight. Also challenged a spino only for both of them to back off and he called them "Bad spino player" 😂 So the spino came after the entire herd instead cause it was mad
@@PestilentAllosaurus The spino was so bad it had to come kill a herd mostly of babies. The rules is once a body is down (for herds) you have to stop fighting. They made sure to kill the babies then killed all the parents
@@tinapittles iuurgh, hate players like that. F for the babies. ._. I was a older juvi shant and these giga pairs were the same way. Only killing hatchlings or juvi. Of course after like 2-3 attempts at the same herd we can engage. The gigas acted shocked when we started becoming defensive of our nesting boarders after we knew what they're doing. Was Nytca so our hadro herd and the slightly distant ceratopsian herd were BOTH aggro and defensive of our babies. They kept saying " Quit following us! You can't work together!" We weren't even following them, just trailing the edge of our nests at about 3 body lengths away from babies to protect them. Aaaaand we told them we're not working together, isn't our fault you attacked so many times you managed to piss off both herds into being able to KOS you then being pinched in the middle like a moron.
Am I the only one bothered by the wiggle walk? Everything looks great then these dinos are just wiggle walking and it looks so darn silly... why does everyone do it?
It's usually a taunt display. To show off their reflexes in turning right to left but yeah, usually as a way to just taunt. It usually means: I wanna eat you- I'm targetting you so get ready Or a less respectful taunt like "you're nothing come and try me" *edit or in some cases to ready your reflexes and test yourself for battle. Forgot I do that sometimes when I'm targeted to get that muscle memory going.
For me personally, it's to "keep on your toes", get in a rhythm so to speak. Warms up fingers/muscles/muscle memory etc - it's mostly a habit. But sometimes, it is to taunt
To build on what Sticky said, the "wiggle walking" or as I like to call it "the twitchy trot" is a passive strategy a lot of players use when they want to make sure they are ready for anything. Sometimes it is a taunt (particularly when used in combat) and replicates trying to "fake someone out" or juke them. But when not in combat it is generally used to keep yourself poised like a coiled spring. As a Utah I *really* do it alot, because more than half the server can 1 or 2 shot you. You have to be ready to not be there if they decide to. If you have never been to any training servers, one of the first things that is commonly taught to beginners of any dino species is to do just that. Constantly shaking the mouse, alternating W-A-S-D, so that you burn that muscle memory in. The less you have to think about which key to press, and when to press them, the more you will survive.
It's incredibly difficult to get this matchup - Hard to find solo rexes, and even when you do, oftentimes something else happens, like someone interfering, or sometimes rex's "friend" shows up and helps them out of a tough situation
@@StickyUtah Yeah got ya, when Im trying to play solo rex its ends up getting killed by pair rexes or gigas. Maybe one day we can find each other 1v1 haha. Happy to see you recording again, keep it up! ❤️
Acro in my opinion is litle bit better the giga agenst rex. Just becous the rex cant run away. Yes acro got downsides and giga chould preform good. But imo
Well personally i usually play with 300+ it doesn't influence it too bad but majority of bites wont always register, the turn glitch is more likely and ofc dinos wont be the exact same position on your screen like you are for them
