I play an awwwwful lot of Maia, and honestly? Most of the time I see other maias die it's because they get stupid and cocky and run into the middle of an active fight and get killed by one of the herbs in our herd x-x
Personally, i dont mind the lag. The problem with 100 slot servers is that the population is so low and the map is so big that you can literally walk around for hours without seeing anyone. That already happens with 150 player slot server so i can only imagine with 100. You can argue to just stick on popular spots like twins and great falls but tbh im there so many times that i just wanna wander around xd
@@rico653caines3 HG has never done well with 2nd servers. The first (always v3) is full, but no one ever played thenyaw and even when it was a second v3 server, it was rarely used, mostly just for events.
That's very easy to solve, everyone are in hot spots, just go to twins, hidden or Great falls or even Titan. I usually wonder around with my Rex and occasionally I find Gigas moving from one place to another or herds, which is great since Its easier to hunt the passer by. I guess that's the reason people stay in the hot spots since most of the empty areas are just Rexes hunting whoever is heading towards a hot spot.
Idk, I personally would prefer hours of walking around than hours of growing after dying because of lag. Of course, lag is much more impactful on smaller Dinos, cuz they're the ones who get punished much harder for each mistake made due to lag (I.E. an Allo gets bit by a laggy Rex, while the Allo is behind the Rex)
sticky when i first watched your vids i was so bad at combat so i kept watching your vids most likely the allo vs dino ones and i learned alot thanks to you now im a highly skilled allo main as in you made me so good at combat being an allo i managed to take out a solo rex,3 carnos,a solo sucho and 2 albertos as an allo
@@StickyUtah Yes you do but if im not wrong Sucho interfere and you had to kill Sucho instead of bleed out Cama. I should said rematch without any interference 😄
That was a good game man, I really liked how you used your skill and thinking on how to kill the theri and a bit of luck the theri killing the maia...lol. Keep making the videos sticky.
Ive never been this early. CONGRATS ON 20K SUBS DUDE! Also quick question: when is the damage of a bite delivered? After the animation, mid animation, or in the click? Im confused on that.
INCREDIBLE. Gg, yesterday I tried to do a real fight for the first time in the game, 1 Dilo vs 3 Allos, I was really proud even if I lost because it was close, I hope someday I will be able to fight like you and to keep calm, because I always panic....
@@StickyUtah I have taken den rexs, suchos and a bunch of other stuff as a allo but I think the hardest fight for you would be to fight a Acro as Allo I keep dieing to only Acros and idk what to do
Maia was timing run/stops in order to stay behind me and not overrun me, and I tried to time my stop when it pressed sprint again. Coupled with the fact that they didn't expect it - boom, worked :D
Hey sticky. Love your server. Played on it for a while prior to the EVRIMA update.. I've played on a few others since and they have a way to do grows for any dino via website. So no admin is needed. You should look into that 😉
I'm personally interested if I should pick up The Isle. I'm looking for a game to waste time on but also have fun with. It looks like it can get a bit repetitive but I'm not sure yet. Does anyone have recommendations on whether or not I should pick this up?
It's definitely fun, and there's a lot to learn - even after thousands of hours, I'm still learning new stuff, and new applications of stuff I already knew. Which means, there's a million of varieties of matchups and strategies. But it can get frustrating if you play small Dinos and struggle to kill anything - then you spend a lot of time simply afk growing. So I always recommend practicing fighting things in Sandbox servers (servers where you can instantly spawn in as full adult), before attempting to hunt those things in Survival mode (where you have to spend time to grow to full adult)
nice Video again. I have a question. If you are bleeding, can u calculate the bleed healing frequence and increase the bleed healing by laying down? For example, Para has 10 bleed sitting, 20 standing and 30 running and something is after you. If you keep running, you heal 30 -> 28 -> 26 ... every 30 sec. But if you just run for 28 sec, lay down for 2 sec (in the moment the bleed heal comes) you go down from 10 to 8 and when you run again, you only have 24 bleed. Hard to explain what i mean but would this be possible? You are Isle Nerd and know all the numbers sticky :D
At 6:49 that Theri just ran right past you without even trying to finish you off, how lucky! I can understand that it may have wanted to avoid friendly firing their teammate or something but I suppose one could argue that the Maia could've tanked a swipe if that meant killing you in the process. Or are Theris just too strong to friendly fire something without killing it right away? Got this game only a few days ago and I'm pretty nooby at it but I enjoy watching your plays, they're very entertaining!
All jokes aside Mad props for handling this small herd as a solo Allo You make this game seem a lot more enjoyable than it actually is Like any real professional does in his or her speciality
@@StickyUtah Since its a risky fight, more in depth. Its 3 minimum if they stand in place the entire time. You keep them trotting or running, you only need 2
Herbis rules could be a little better imo :/ but they're not terrible I guess. A solo herbi can chase a carni as long as they'd like once an engagement starts. However if it's part of a herd they can't chase for more than 15 seconds, no matter how many times a carni engages which is a little frustrating.
@@Dezederia Yeah pretty much. I mean it doesn't tend to happen often, simply because after the 2nd or 3rd herd member killed some new carnis usually move in that deal with the carnis being a problem. But it does happen.
@@Dezederia If herbies are in a popular hunting spot and refuse to move, then they certainly should be killed 1 by 1 until extinction. It's no different from Carnivores: Imagine a pack of allos "nesting" at Twins, while a pack of Acros are killing them off. Herbies on HG have a lot of advantages, they just refuse to use them :/
@@StickyUtah I never nest in hot spots. To always be in need of an adult to drink or eat is annoying. I was asking because this happens everywhere. And was just interested in the rules of the server
