I just finished reading this - bought it as soon as I heard about it, and pretty much read it in one sitting! It's a very entertaining ride - time travel, Ancient Egypt, River Song AND Melody Malone, Cleopatra, a story within a story with River as the author... I shan't say any more - spoilers!! I heartily recommend it to Doctor Who fans! 😄

@@codo8584 - yes, it was both. In the novelisation of Twice Upon a Time, Paul states that the Doctor wore the ring to remember River (he wasn't anticipating meeting her again after The Name of the Doctor). It was for her memory, like the picture of her on his desk.
