@@browngundam2170 he is totally right about how the other players get priority over everything lol. So much so that my coaches didn't get my number right on my warm up gear. So I'd be walking around with all types of different numbers
@@delan_lan we had alot of guys get thrown off last year so yeah when guys were in foul trouble or we had a blowout. Every once in a while I came in just regularly. I would I played maybe 75% of our games because of that
A salary should be there because they are counting on making it into the league which is a small chance and if they don't it will be very hard for them
They put with 2 minutes left and you're only up 36? Lucky, I seen teams up 50+ and still only play 7 or 8 of their players the entire game. If you have 12 people on your team you'd think everyone would play in a game when your up almost 80 points but nope.
Well In High School, There's Smaller Rotations. The Starters get all the Minutes. The Bench Players only play when a Player is injured/Unabled to Play or When a Player is resting on the Bench. In College and in the NBA, There's more rotations.
Soo I’m walking onto a D1 track team but I had a few D1 coaches call about me, my grades just weren’t good enough....what do I gotta look forward to???
tbh you’re really just a training partner until you can beat the scholarship athletes in practice and grades over everything. they’ll tell you what you wanna hear to get you there and not gag about you when you show up
I was D1 track walk-on freshman year (a senior now). Basically just get ready work your tail off and make sacrifices. Also having a good GPA is critical as a walk-on so just be ready to work. It's a thankless job at times but worth it in the long run.
@@AJLapray Hey AJ!! I love your channel! Haha! Seriously, I've been shaving for a while, and it's always a hassle. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best thing that shark tank has ever done; brought this product to light! Guys can be selfish sometimes, wanting their lady to be clean, while they've got a jungle! LOL! No more! Manscape makes it simple! Haha I'm definitely buying one soon! Your channel is awesome! I just noticed that you've been making a bunch of videos in the last few months! They're all great and super creative and funny! I remember the first one that I watched, "Nerd plays on the beach" haha that one was great!
This really starts in middle school. The coaches only focus on the best players(1-2) and dont really try to develop other players. This either ends up bad for the good player due to feeling privileged. Or bad for the bad player feeling discarded. Rarely do coaches ever care about EVERYONE on the team
Andrew Albano not even close d3 juco is a little higher than varsity but d3 is equivalent to prep ball. It’s not the best but not that easy. Look up dvontay friga
WOOW. I was a freshman last year on varsity and got injured for most of the season. Between being injured and benched inbetween injuries this was too relateable. I felt like a walkon hahahha
If you don’t want to play as a walk on there are plenty of people who would love to go in. Also plenty of walk ons who parlay doing the grunt work into jobs within the basketball world post college. These opportunities and connections would not be there playing at a small school or just in intramurals.
Unfortunately this is what I might have to deal with but it is what it is. People take different paths to get to their goals hopefully it all works out for me
@@AJLapray Because the Lakers wanted him last season but since we saw how he played with the warriors there isn't much hype and Lakers fans are not that happy at all
He was also recovering from and injury every chance he got to play. He gets to use this offseason to get back into basketball shape and get better and he’s going to have a way better year next year
Only other thing are the coaches meetings telling you that you have to keep your grades up for the team average lol but I related to this video on a surreal level
No, It's not even worth it. You don't even Have a Scholarship. You get treated different. Have Garbage Time. People should go to a School that offer them a Scholarship or a JUCO.
