@Ryan Reetz lol, I played college football and I'll tell you that paying players is something that is only not a reality cause we are free labor and line their pockets. Practice at 5 am (never had to do this in high school) classes, practice/meetings again at 2pm. I personally had to work to make ends meet my first two years then the coaching staff found out and threaten to take my scholarship if I kept working which is supported by the NCAA. Advisors yanked me out my major and straight up had to go against the wishes of the school for my education. Student-athletes (should be full time athlete/part Time student) go though SO much more then playing around a ball. If you don't make it to the next level it's all for nothing and all the money made on your back isn't for you. I couldn't buy toothpaste, tissue, anything not food. I was an indentured servant.
How would you do it? Would you pay every d 1 sport? Like swimming, golf, etc? What about the d1 women athletes? Only basketball and football make money for a small percentage of schools in the grand scheme. What about those small d1 schools that dont get even close to the money that the big ones do? Have you seen the size of college football rosters? Do all players get paid? I agree that it's a shame these athletes basically have to go to college in order to make it the next level and the ones getting rich are the coaches and athletic directors and the NCAA. That is bullshit obviously. But I think the only reasonable way to do it would be to completely step away from the NCAA and make leagues where kids can go out of high school get paid and work on their skills. It would be way to complicated to pay college athletes. In my opinion of course and would love to hear some ideas
1st famous youtuber with no content just comments all of the money these sports bring in still goes to the entire athletic department. Everyone that dedicated and sacrifices their time to the school should be paid. It’s way too hard to break it down into percentages of sports. Football at Alabama is equivalent to basketball at Duke right now and those are two different sports. I guess it’s only fair that everyone get paid evenly. It’s not like any scholarship is worth more than the other
Derek Mejia Wow dude way to completely fucking miss the point of his comment. Did you even fucking read it? Seriously, try reading something in its entirety if that’s even possible given the small attention span you clearly have .
My brother was blown up in Vietnam. I will never ever forget what a wonderful world I live in and that I could make a living as a simple mechanical engineer. Happy Memorial Day!
If your an athlete and your professor loves athletes, you straight Cadillac-ing to the end of the semester. Well at least at my university. I know first hand lol.
I play D1 Tennis at Texas A&M and I’ve got to say this is hella accurate some professors automatically dislike you if they know your an athlete and some show favor towards you. No professor has ever given me an automatic A but fingers crossed.
Bro keep doing the vids bro to me u are the best on RU-vid I just saw your channel yesterday and subscribed instantly I was watching life of a d1 athlete
Thought this was gonna be a video exposing the professor cause he doesn’t actually play basketball players, just old guys that don’t actually play or people that used to play
The fact that I’m a biology major....and have to take economics this summer because my athletic advisor said I have to take it. This video is not a coincidence
Don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
