A real day working an "Immigrant" job

In this video, I'll show you what a REAL day in the fields is like. How to get a field job and what it's like working in the fields not only for immigrants but also for americans.
One stereotype is that only immigrants work in the fields which is not true. Even though MOST of the work is done by immigrants, we started being more diversified by race and genders.
But let me be clear, this is not an "immigrant" job, It's a job that helps a lot of people make a living. Yes, it sucks but hopefully this video shines a light of how people feel about this type of work.

Mannn those freezers (plural mind you) got as low as 30 below. The funny thing is the one that is warmer is 0 below and it felt like summer in there. Good I hated that job. Driving in there with nothing but a pallet and a list of food items to pick. And then stack them so they didn't fall while driving around up and down the aisles until you finished the entire list. Man I got somewhat used to it but that job definitely reminds me of where I do not want to be anymore. Now thankfully I build and troubleshoot machines drawing schematics inside a shop where I don't freeze or burn up... God is good man lol

Man wrost job i ever had was unloading and uploading containers full of closets that were mad heavy brand new still in there boxes each weighing in at 80 pounds which isn't that bad. But all the boxes were 6X4 shit would have you dead lifting one by yourself doing that all day having to unload more than 1000 a day.

Good shit Reyes. Farm labor is some of the most laborious jobs out here in Cali. I’ve been doing it since I was 14. Would go during my summer vacations and after I graduated I went straight to the fields. I am now 31 and still in the same industry but as of 4.5 years ago I’m “my own boss”. I’m a contractor now so I don’t have to do the hard labor any more. Anyway, good informative video, Reyes....like always informative and entertaining.

When I worked in apple orchards I thought of it as being paid to work out. The apple harvest in Maine went from late August through October. I spent my winters working at a ski resort. There was no better way to get in shape for skiiing than going up and down those ladders a few hundred times a day. The pay was pretty good, too. Getting paid by the bushel I was making about double minimum wage.
