Thanks! Definite similarities between this and the Rangeman, but this is ever so slightly more wearable, I think. Still a big watch though. Hoping for software updates too.

Also, I had to update it and the app says I'm on version 3 but it seems that the notifications hit the watch at the same exact time as they come in. I've seen some people say it had a 3-5 second delay but I haven't had that experience yet.

Thank you. And I totally agree, the decision not to change any aspect of the G-Shock watches we love was the right one. Although, from what Casio has said to me in the past, this will never change!

I got it too, but I think the software is godawful. I'm trying to return mine and go back to my iWatch.

I returned my gbd h1000. It looks great but is absolutely awful. The h1000 doesn’t nothing well. Instinct is better forsure. Gbd 100 seems better for the cost

I just went for a run and it didn't pick up the GPS till a half mile in. The step counter is off by 5,000 consistently... But like I said it's so shiny and pretty and where I work it's nice to know I can bang it around and it won't break.. I'm keeping it.

Matt C I have the $150 gbd 100 now and returned the bigger one. This one is way more comfortable for work for me. The heart rate and solar I could care less about on the big one. The vibration actually feels better on this one. The watch is a lot smaller but comparable to my garmin instinct. It still does the move app. I can live with this one.

Completely agree. It's a proper G-Shock! I'm confident software tweaks will continue. I want a way to edit those screens so notifications come earlier!

Unboxall TV This was my biggest complaint also. If we could move notifications screen to the first screen option and bump the 10 to 20 notifications limit that would be perfect. Certainly seems possible with a software update #casio

True :) Mine also seems to present an issue with some notifications. They don't disappear from the watch (remain as new) after being 'taken care or' on the phone. Especially applies to phone calls, but there was also some other type. Most of them work fine, but some will appear on the watch until I open them there or until they're replaced by newer ones (last 10 appear). Weird thing that I don't like is that Bluetooth (thus notifications) stops working after an hour of no use. If I put the watch on my desk and the phone is charging elsewhere, watch will not receive any notification after an hour of no use. I really don't like this, especially since this cannot be disabled. But still, I took it, cause it's a G-Shock with notifications and has a hr monitor. Not as a smartwatch to handle notifications. I'd be happy even if there would be no accessing notifications. It's enough for me for the phone simply vibrate when something happens on the phone and show a toast to explain 'what's cookin' :) Managing notifications via buttons, one the last menu page is not what I like, so I usually don't go there.

I love the look too. I've been testing it for a little while, and updates have been coming through. I see no reason why they would stop. The software on the watch is good, but the app needs improvement.

Totally different. Not better, not worse. It's like comparing a 4x4 offroader with a hot-hatch. For excercising - H. For Hiking and all 'out in the field' activity - R. I'd love a Rangeman with a heart rate monitor and that level of customisation :)

Garmin Instinct and Fenix don't use touch as the buttons work better in wet and cold conditions - these have both fitness and outdoor uses.

G-shock by nature isn’t designed for home fitness. It’s an outdoor-focused brand...the GPS function doesn’t even really work without satellite access...which is only obtained outside...lol. Not quite sure what you thought it was going to be.

Interesting. Mine has stayed mostly inline with the Apple Watch, but I don't have any health issues that may be harder for it to read.

I agree 100% but its really small. I think it comes down to aesthetics.

@@MegaRyan123456"Thats not small" is what I say to my missus!!! I guess it depends on what you are used to (also what I say). Got the Tactix Charlie at the moment which is 51 mm. I did try the Fenix 5 on at 47 and for me it was just too small however I am a big guy. I would have absolutely bought the Instinct if it was a bit bigger but also bulkier like the G Shocks as it has similar styling but still streamlined like the Garmins generally. Good watch though
