Used to play this game with my best friend when we were kids. I know this game is jank but this makes me super nostalgic, especially the music.

Oh yeah Sagas, knew some kids who were brothers who had Budokai 3 & Tenkaichi 2/3 and even then their favorite game was Saga since they could play coop together

I played this on my GameCube when I was little I was so excited to play my first dbz game. And unpopular opinion I liked it. Especially the post game characters like future gohan and Broly. This game will always be special to me

Vegeta's hair is not supposed to be brown. In the manga when the gang first meet Trunks, Vegeta says that he couldn't possibly be a super saiyan because all saiyans have black hair.

I have a fun story with this game. Back in the day I sold my copy of Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion to Blockbuster so I would be able to get this game for the GameCube. That was a huge mistake lol

My only real memory of this game is that it is the first time I ever screamed and cursed at a video game, specifically during the Perfect Cell fight. To be clear, this was _after_ I beat The Library in Halo 1 on Legendary. And Halo 2 on Legendary, Jackal snipers and all. I hate this game more than I hate H2 Legendary Jackal snipers. I only beat it due to the emotional obligation of beating what you rented.

This is easily the worst DBZ game ever made, at least Final Bout and Ultimate Battle 22 had pretty good soundtrack and intros, this game doesn't have anything positive about it.

You’ve done pretty much every popular ps2 DBZ dragonball game can’t wait to see the retrospectives on from the ones on the ps3/360 generation definitely will have more of a fun time playing those for sure even if a few games are kinda meh in content like Burst Limit

God this game is one of the few times I'm okay it finished after cell. Cause I can only imagine how ass, having to get ssj3 on goku and gotenks would be to hurt Buu. Or God how they would've implemented fusion. It was pretty awful, though I do kinda wish it got a sequel that actually fixed the issues, as I kinda like what they were going for. They just did it terribly.

I like how even the ad for the game showcased you getting stun locked by the enemy. When the ad can't even make your game look good you know you screwed up. Also good for you Hidden after so many videos of not being able to show off the Co-op or multiplayer of a game because and i quote (I don't have friends" you finally dragged some poor soul to play DBZ Sagas. I don't know how you did it but well done.

It's such a shame because the concept of a Dragon Ball Z beat em up is really cool and had a lot of potential, especially during that time of gaming.

The only good thing about Sagas is that it features one-arm Future Gohan.

The one detail I'll never forget about this game is that one-armed Future Gohan throws punches with an arm that doesn't exist. That and the boss battles were AWFUL. Especially Perfect Cell.

Speaking of failure - RU-vid's automatic subtitles are constitutionally unable to deal with your accent "Vegeta too rushes to Namek" becomes "Vegeta's 2 Russia's Dynamic!" (sounds like an attack name) and Ginyu Force becomes the far more adorable "Guinea Force"

I remember I got this game full price at release and I was so disappointed. I had gotten several Budokai games prior so my standards were very high. I still played through it several times just because I had it. I liked replaying the Trunks saga in the ruined city the most.

I remember when this game was announced, I wanted it to be a 3D equivalent to Legacy of Goku 2/Buu's Fury. I was sorely disappointed.

Game was kinda janky but I loved some of the concepts, a beat em up coop dbz game is something we don't see often that and I liked the "unseen" sagas like the yardrat episodes and the future trunks mini saga

One of the best sound tracks , loved the game . I literally listened to the sound tracks twice just by them selfs . They put there heart into this game just didn’t come out the best . Still was fun playing with your friends back then .

This game was one of my favorite games to play when I was a kid me and my brother spent hours upon hours playing this game I don’t think it was bad game it was different from what we had played before during that time everybody stay trashing this game but to me it gives me a lot of nostalgia

I remember playing and beating the game back in the day. I had a younger cousin who saw me play and used to beg me to play it with him. He was obsessed with the game to the point I would get annoyed with him because he always wanted to play this terrible game. I now look back at his excitement fondly but the game still sucks

as someone who’s played basically every North American release dbz game since Budokai 1. i still think Taikestu, Ultimate Tenkaichi, & the Collectible Card Game on the GBA, are all worse than sagas. sagas isn’t good, and never will be, but i’d pick this over those 3 games any day.

I mean, aside from making one failed console after another after the success of the 2600 until they went out of the console business, that was basically Atari's mission statement. -Here's a video game with stunning artwork depicting the game where you're a jacked, super hero type character... but you're actually just a tiny square. -Here's the greatest, most advanced, most mind blowing controller ever made for the time (the 5200)... but it's a broken piece of shit that doesn't center and is compatible with like 2 games in the entire library. -Here's the most advanced gaming system ever with 64 bits! Okay, so it's two 32 bit chips, most people only used one, and 99 percent only used it to make crappy 16 bit games that looked less impressive than what you were seeing on Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo and the PS1. -We didn't cause the video game crash of 1983 and totally didn't bury copies of E.T.! Except we totally did and the games were dug up 30 years later to prove it. Ladies and Gentlemen, Atari! Thank you for the 2600 and early Arcade games, but go to Hell with everything after that. And go to Hell twice just for this abomination of a game.

I was well aware that Sagas was clunky AF but I still liked it at that time. What I hated about it tho is co-op, playing with someone literally made game worse.

That game never came to Europe. It has it's charme and I played it probably more than I should have, first after I softmodded an Xbox OG to play it, then imported the GameCube version. The presentation (aside from the awful animation of the characters and character graphics) is wonderful. It feels just like DBZ. It was a Kakarot prototype xD besides the GBA games, this was the only Action Adventure sandbox DBZ for a long time.

since all characters have the same copy pasted attacks did you notice that future Gohan tries to attack with the missing arm? if you purposefully stop at that part of the animation its pretty funny to see the enemy awkwardly look back at you

I was so excited to have a Dragon Ball game on the original Xbox, I pre ordered and and played it to the end. I coped so hard and tried convincing myself it was a good game 😅

It was 1 of the best dbz games at its time. Multi-player story mode was the x-factor for me & my brother

I played this on xbox. I never had any of those glitches. The music was kind of annoying but I still love this game

This game is how I learned who Broly is

I got a original Xbox console and this was the only game I got for it. I actually enjoyed it and didn’t know the history behind it. By the time I was at the super vegeta part of the game the console legit started to burn. 💀 I beat the game while the plug was smoking, but last time I played that console and game.

The only thing I enjoyed about this game growing up was annihilating everything as Broly, otherwise yeeeeesh. But, I won't deny that I played the absolute hell out of it! Also, being the One Piece fan that I am now, seeing the intro basically look like DB by way of One Piece is...odd.

Its funny to me how everyone shits on this game, but I always remember it fondly as being a DBZ game I could play co-op with my friends. The clips of the show they used along with the game's original music always hit too. That being said... those few boss fights that force 1v1 with player 1 and 2 having to switch out... fuck that shit.
