I think about this a lot but I think this game should have had more development time to include OG dragon ball. This way you could start out with running and the nimbus as your only means of transportation. And then by the time goku learns to fly in the series, that unlocks your ability to fly.
I don't know if anyone has asked before but could you review Dragon Ball Attack of the saiyans for Nintendo DS? Like you'r videos hope you keep making good content.
This game would have so much more replayability if the characters made more noises... Like everytime id fight as goku hed do the same "aaaahhh!!" Noise over and over and over I tried a second playthrough but this made me uninstall 😢
DBZ Kakarot is a great game but has many issues such that the cinematics aren't utilised to the full extent unlike budokai 1 which managed to tell more of the story in a shorter amount of battles, also the fighting mechanics of dbz Kakarot are very similar to Xenoverse 2 but more repetitive making the 3D style of gameplay better in the budokai tenkaichi games, however the game is a great run through the story of dbz in the game which is really fun my only gripe is they should've brought back the Z voice actors for the game as not only do they have more experience they also voiced the characters in Z since the game is called DBZ Kakarot and NOT dbz kai kakarot
Covering arcs of Kakarot in a video for each arc would be super interesting. Also, if you do cover the Namek saga one thing that I just couldn't get over was how the game lets the Ginyu force sort of die after you fight them with Goku instead of letting Vegeta kill them like the anime. Between that and the lack of a final flash or super trunks cinematic, it felt like they cut corners on iconic moments to streamline the story. I can kind of see why, but Toriyama's writing style has a lot of beloved moments that are ultimately not crucial for the plot to move forward so that's a lot of stuff to ignore.
Dragon Ball Z Kakarot is the best game I've ever played. I'm so glad that this game changed my life and made me a Dragon Ball fan. If I didn't play this game, I would never discover this exiting world of Dragon Ball.
P.S: Most of people in my country probably don't know what Dragon Ball is, but for some reason Bandai Namco decided to make subtitles for my country anyway.
That’s great to hear! Dragon ball games on the PS2 were crucial to my life long fandom of the franchise so I’m glad to hear the modern games are doing the same thing for others!
They were definitely teasing that idea by including Kid Goku in the latest DLC. I'd like to think they wouldn't go out of their way to model him just for that one fight.
Another wonderful video from a wonderful content creator. You are doing an amazing job. Great edits and comedy, great music, wonderful retrospwctive. You are super special awesome. Keep up the great work.
Great video Could you please do a video on the Super Gokuden games for the Super Famicon? There really isn't any youtube content on these games, and they are a very unique experience.
I feel like Kakarot has a lot of potential that you can build off of. But something tells me that the sequel, if there ever is one, will probably just be the same thing again like XV2
I live for these retrospectives on DBZ; Hidden. I actually have fell asleep watching them almost an hour in but that’s more than likely a combination of your warm and relaxing voice (with some great humour) and the fact I’ve been super exhausted over the last couple of days 😂 you’re awesome ❤️
Your style is just remarkable, dude. The dichotomy between your thorough, in-depth analysis delivered with such a cool even voice and your meme-edits just floors me lol. I adore it, insta-subbed.
Your review of the game is Excellent. It's currently still my favorite video game despite that the game isn't fully open world but am glad that most of the explorable areas are big enough to make look as though the game is fully open world. I got that game on launch day at my local Walmart store while in my Goku cosplay costume. For a game that's named after Goku's birth name' the game has us play as Gohan the most in the main story. The one being the narrator in this video review did a pretty good job and like it.
On That image training part you shouldve added Spongebob and Patrick in their box 📦 that was making all dat noise "........ARRRRRRg" ".......Beep" 😂😂😂😂
24:00 I hate these Gohan's fury expressions, they are GARBAGE! THEY ALL VERY VERY BAD! RAditz headbutt, oozaru's scream transformation, SSJ2 transformation.. all very bad and rushed and f-king busy!
33:17 I dont know.. could have used the NFS:Most Wanted joke, but since Vegeta doesnt yell, maybe it wouldnt work Nappa: Everyone? Vegeta: EVERYONE!!!!!
Oh gosh, i just LOVE dragon ball z kakarot. As someone whos favourite dragon ball game series was the legacy of goku and buu's fury, this game fullfilled all my needs for a dragon ball game
I'm playing kakarot right now and immediately thought about your legacy of goku video when the game introduces you of the secondary quest and the first one is discover where the turtle hid muten's bikini magazine😂
5:38 im glad to finally see someone whos veiw isnt "filler=bad" imo the besy example of good filler is detective conan like 9/10 time the filler episodes are my favorites and the most memorable
43:30 I remember Kami permanently removed Goku's tail at one point, like he cauterized it with an energy beam after it was yanked off. Before he did that, Goku's tail also regrew randomly for plot reasons in the middle of a fight too. Piccolo I guess plotwise never knew Goku's and Gohan's tails can regrow.
A lot of the RPG bits just don't work well in this game or work well with the story of dragon ball. The combat and moving around the world felt awesome though and it's probably the best telling of the dragon ball story in video game format I've played. A really good game for fans of the franchise. I love your videos!
There's a lot to be desired with the combat in this game, but they 100% nailed the visuals and recreating moments with the game's animation. It was a good idea for you to split this up into videos covering each arc allowing you to dive deep, looking forward to the next one.
I really didn't like Xenoverse much ESPECIALLY when they made me play 2 rounds of a dpsht trading card game in the story, I just quit right there. This looked like more xenoverse with stupid uninteresting minigames so I never picked it up
