I've been stuck in a horrible reading slump for nearly a year now but I just got randomly inspired by this video to just binge read a ton of books!!! Your excitement is contagious❤❤
OMG CHRISTINE YOU'RE GONNA LOVE RED WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE ITS SO SWEET AND HILARIOUS AND SO EASY TO READ!!! BUT ALSO SO MOVING AND PROFOUND AT THE SAME TIME???
I feel so privileged that now because I now work at a bookstore and so when she said that Frankly in Love wasn't out yet, I was able to say "Huh, already read it"
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again... I just love your channel, Christine. You are such an energetic and enthusiastic young woman, and your genuine passion for reading and books shines through in every video you make. I am going through a tough menopause, and your videos bring such colour and liveliness to my life. Keep up the amazing work 🌈
I had the honor of reading one of Serpent & Dove's first drafts back in the day, Shelby (the author) is one of the sweetest people in the world. Today is the books official release date!!! You're going to love it so much!
The Stranger Things book you have is part of the prequel series of the tv show. The first book is about Jane’s mother, the second one (the one you have) is about Hoppers past with his previous wife and daughter, and the current third book is about Max’s past (the book is called Runaway Max)
I loved it!!!! I recently got it in the mail from my publisher, thank you so so much it's so lovely, I had a wonderful time going through it 💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💜💜💜
Leonie K Amazon does exist but what can you do when its out of stock 🤷♂️ I did end up buying it online just not from Amazon... and the main book stores in the UK (Waterstones and WHSmith) don’t have in store copies and will not deliver to a store local to me 😡😂😂
@@leonieaddy134 I order it off Amazon when it is first came out. I told Christine about the issue and she was aware of it. She said it was fix, but it must have gone the same way again
I read Only a Breath Apart, Red, White and Royal Blue, and You’d Be Mine this summer. Only a Breath Apart was one of my favorite books this year. And Red, White and Royal Blue is one of my favorites of all time! Can’t wait to hear what you think!
I met Ruta years ago when she came to my secondary school. My school had an advanced readers club which I was part of, and they paid for us to get Between Shades Of Gray (my first signed book). When she was describing her writing process & the lengths she went too for accuracy, I was awed.
I did a school project on the White Rose Resistance and then heard there was a book released on it, so I can't wait to read it because it was such a tragic but intriguing story and I'm always willing to learn more about history.
I want Coral so bad! I love Sara, she used to have a booktube channel actually. Also, you will love Red, White, and Royal Blue. It is literally the best contemporary love story I’ve read.
my grandparents grew up in spain during franco's dictatorship and until we were taught about it in spanish class not many people knew about it - I love that it's being more talk about. Also Picasso's guernica is about the Spanish civil war, highly recommend googling it
I loved Red, White, and Royal Blue SO much!! Such a great book. And now I really want to buy a couple books lol. My birthday is tomorrow, so I’m going to pre order a book as a gift to myself haha. I got a Barnes and Nobles gift card last year and managed to make it last until now, and honestly it was the best present ever.
I wish I had liked Red White & Royal Blue as many did here. It was just ok for me.We Hunt the Flame is by far one of the best covers for me. So beautiful. And Opposite of Always is what I am reading next. Yeah! :)
I actually read Number the Stars in 4th grade and I feel like I may have been too young to appreciate it. I’m definitely gonna read it again as soon as I can though because I’ve recently really been appreciating historical fiction a lot more than I used to. Also, I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON INFINITY SON AS SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE IT SOUNDS SO GOOD
Christine, can u please be sure get the last book in the scythe series and the fourth in both the legend series and the trials of apollo serie? I'm not sure if they're out yet. And did u ever get around to reading the burning maze?
Omg I read Number the Stars in fifth grade too! And the White Rose is about a group of young German resisters. It’s such an amazing stories and the group of people were so eloquent. You should definitely read it.
Great video Christine!! Now I have ton more greats books on my radar. Sorcery of Thorns is charming book, I’d definitely recommend! It has Clockwork Angel vibes and is hilarious and well written.
Swept under the rug ? Everyone in Spain knows about Franco , as most of Europe does. He was in power from 1939 to 1975 when he died. But of course it’s normal for me , being Spanish , to know a lot about him. My grandma lived through the civil war , and most of my family grew up under his regime. Needless to say , everyone in Spain remembers.
6:00 Btw, if you're interested in that stuff, around the same time there was also a terrible dictator in Portugal even less well known, Salazar. (Not so) fun fact, in the time between the World Wars, there was a big rise in dictatorships in Europe (Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Salazar, ...) bc ppl were poor and afraid and traumatized by the war and these awful dudes took advantage of that to gain power. 👍 Just some knowledge drop by you friendly Portuguese history buff 🇵🇹
