Great job on Roblox and the Dev’s part to shut down the game. It’s sad that Roblox is referred to as a kids game yet stuff like this happens all the time.

I do think the devs actually care, seeing as they've stated they won't continue the project. I'm glad they took it down willingly and saw how dangerous it could have been. Creating it after a dating app probably should have been seen as a little risky at the very least early in development. Here's hoping the devs learn from the experience, I like to think the problem was just a lack of foresight. I'd rather that then incompetence or worse. We won't really know but time will tell.

This is why the Internet can be dangerous sometimes. We must make sure we're vigilant and prevent situations like this from getting worse.

Honestly? The concept was kinda fun-looking, sadly, its roblox, there's gonna be horny children and predators, in the same environment, to be fair, it is structured like tinder, so it was gonna be picked very fast.

i hated but loved meepcity at the same time because i used to build houses on there and i had a passion for designing them and i used to host parties to show and give away fandom morphs but its kinda sad how slenders and cnps took it over and abused it to the point thats how meepcity was known

It's always said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. What was meant as a game to help you find friends became way more degenerate than that, and the devs just had no choice but to close it down. Such a shame...

This is more like proof of a game that had good intentions, but the player base was so bad that the game got removed. I actually didn't hear about this till a few days ago and considered trying it out. With that being said, I would like to see the game be under great moderation if it ever got rebooted and genuinely enjoy playing it.

If I'm not mistaken, all of these profiles would have been saved to a datastore in roblox... I think this means that roblox could look through all of these profiles and mass ban all of the online daters. There may be some privacy laws preventing this tho (idk)

I think putting up the game back online with an invite system where people were evaluated case by case would be a nice idea if they decided to do that. It would make the game’s population controlled and easier to moderate. At the cost of potentially requiring a lot of people

If I remember correctly, the dating game, Add Me, was not rated 17+, even though it should've been due to the romantic themes and dating app inspiration. As for the Meep City Parties back in the day, well, I do not really consider barbie doll nudity to be NSFW. In my eyes, what killed Meep City parties was a mix of a group of groomers ruining the feature, a lack of a proper moderation team, and the creator being a degenerate behind the scenes.

The quick ban of this game was the biggest w roblox ever took through out their entire history. This day needs to be remembered among the roblox community like the meepcity's one

I feel like Meep City was worse since the idea of the game Add Me wasn't bad at all just how the game came out being very Tinder-like was the issue here. The moderation of the game was actually serious so were the devs by literally deleting their own game while in Meep City moderators gave a jack sh@ about it and well, we don't have to talk about the owner and stuff

I was testing out of this game to see how weird it was. Many of them were minors or having weird avatars. But the craziest thing that I found that Hazem was on there too and I was confused. I’m glad this was banned before it went out of hand.

Feel bad for the developer who just wanted to create a game to make friends easier.

The only real problem here is that it's the first time a game like this has become popular, which means there might be some people that will most likely try to recreate the game or even reupload it somehow.

I was with my friend on discord. On a call both muted and me streaming the game. I was giving likes to everyone and see how many degenerates I could find. Too much "robux for pics" and discords on the desc. A guy in his bio said "horny" and also liked me. We went on DM and I said Hi like everyone other else who liked me too. He went normal with a hru and things like that. I said that he was too serious talking and a possible groomer. He was. Sent a message saying "Wanna see something nice" or something like that. And I answered with ?. And as expected sent a place with a nsfw pic in the thumbnail. Basically a big ass right on the middle on my screen. I decided to not follow his game anymore and block him and report him. Btw he also had a shirt that said "Heavy load" with an arrow pointing to his pants. Who would've guessed it.

This game was a great tool for me to build up my audience and even promote my own projects. But I understand at the same time that people were in danger too because of misusing the app and maybe it was for the best for both Roblox mods and the game devs to discontinue this experiment for good.

I played add me, just to find people to help me make games. I found a few people, but then the game got taken down, overall, I did not see much inappropriate stuff on there.

I think the game got a decent idea; A lot of people got a difficult time making friends. And rightfully so due most of our society is bad, Uses eachother, makes lies about 1 another, use lies to defend themselves, etc. Difficult to make friends & really trust someone when 9/10 the person will betray you. It's a shame it's ruined, But it's good tho since we got a really bad society currently. It's just that we are currently in a braindead, wrong, shitty society. Minors being taken advantage of and being to smart while adults being to stupid and literally trying to take advantage of people. Glad the devs & roblox for once did the right thing, Rare to see. But wouldn't supprise me if within 3 months something insanely bad happens. Roblox seem to have that pattern.
