With my original "A Run at Stowe" video becoming a massive hit, I decided to highlight another one of my favorite linkups. With one quad ride, and a 20 minute bootpack, one can enjoy the exposed steeps of The Booger, link it into the mysterious & meandering Stu's Chute, high traverse it to the slide path beneath Balls Falls, catch Cliff Trail and dip into Drifter Woods, then finish with Mary Mason Glades. This is possibly one of the best linkups in the whole Northeast. Enjoy!

What an amazing video thanks for this! I was at the nose on Tuesday 4/9 looking at the booger but was to exposed, question for you is how do I get to balls falls, from auto road hike? Some of these trails I cannot find much on them… I just use FATMAP

Balls Falls is tricky, you traverse allllll the way out in Bypass Chutes, or get into them from Stu’s Chute, then at the end you’ll see a bootpack BEHIND you. I say in all caps because it’s so easy to miss. The traverse just ends at a cliff and you hike diagonally back left. That leads to a short traverse to another bootpack. Overall, a fun stash, but not one I hit often because it breaks up the run.

was this yesterday? I did a ton of unmarked glades, some of which I saw on FATMAP were from you!!! They were so sick

This was a few weeks back. Glad you’re enjoying the FATMAP stuff!

@@extreme_ryan_delena yeah thanks for the contributions!!! I didn't do any hike-to terrain but I loved a bunch of the unmarked runs like Bypass Chutes. They really let me make the most of all the snow Stowe got.

Geez, I can't believe you skied the booger this season. I must say, this is the first time I've seen footage from someone skiing the booger. I thought it required a very good snow year to be skiable?

It requires snow in the right places, which despite the lean year, we luckily had. Spring Time Special got skied this season too, though not by me. I think wind loading likely helped, but also the fact that there aren’t many big obstructions that need to be covered for this to be skiable. It more so threads the needle through gnarly terrain.

The booger!!! After stu's chute, are you somehow able to stay high enough to hit balls falls without the hike? or did you still hit the usual hike? Keep up the fire content!!

Hit the usual hike, which I edited out of this video so it wouldn’t become a mogul run, and have the entire Stowe community hunting me down. The best way to access Balls Falls with minimal hiking is that rightward traverse from Amherst Chute

I’m not sure why every local thinks balls falls is a secret. Everyone can see it from the four runner lift, if they are not blind. I’ve never skied it but I definitely would if I could ski at Stowe more than once a year.

@@NoahEastCoastSkier it’s kinda sneaky to get too. You really gotta look around for where the hike diverts from the end of the traverse, but yes it is no secret

@@extreme_ryan_delena I agree, i found it a few years ago but it was actually really frustrating to find lol. I just hit it today, so fat!! hope you got in on some of this recent storm

This is why Stowe is the best in the east and it’s not even close
