It’s mega. Tucks still never loses that intimating vibe when you’re in there for the first time of the season! Damnation is a great line and if some day you change your mind, it’ll be there!
@@extreme_ryan_delena That’s what’s great, the mountains are always there. All about skill, that’s it. I’ll do anything, so long as I know I’m able. I snowboard and I’m pretty good, but I’d want to get some more experience in the backcountry first.
Excuse my stupid question (I ski out of PA) but is there any sort of map for this stuff? Or at least some sort of navigation to use to find these trails?
Don't forget; mountains are walls. And can eventually, get in your way. People who climb Mount Everest are looking for more than a trophy. They die up there looking for a world they don't fit into vibrationally.
I say other worlds are on Earth beyond the circles and walls and mountains from the ground up. And way up. That's why we have star gates to THE GREAT UNKNOWN.
Looks like a great climb. Did Black Orpheus years ago and it was quite the adventure. And if anyone put sticks on my hood and car like that, they hide!
You are so talented and gifted in so many ways!! I look forward to hopefully seeing you in AK, ! I look forward to more of your adventures!! Hugs to you and your amazing dad!
I have the same philosophy which came from travel to places like Oklahoma and Kansas which are not often thought of as scenic states. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t know if you could tell in the video but I was right at the ends of my rope so it was a 30m rappel. The landing was also on a spine above another small ice bulge and the gully curves. Yes it could be dropped, but if I fell I could’ve died, so too much risk for me. Maybe someone else.
Do you know where the other side entrances end up on Tomba? Seems like there is one next to the waterfall trail, one of the middle of tombas and waterfall, and one that goes to the side right at the entrance of tombas.
It’s funny when you start out and tucks is like a huge epic. Everyone has an interesting first time in Tucks story. Then years later you start doing multi ravine tours and it just becomes the icing on the cake run back to the parking lot.
Love all the videos! I just did Tucks for the first time on the same day you made this video. Mt Washington summit down snow fields then right gully. Thanks for the inspiration, Im really excited to explore this area more! Do you expect to finish your project this year?
Hell. Yeah. Nice work on your first tucks line, sounds like you picked a good one! As for my project, I have 7 lines left, and unfortunately they’re all toast by now. Next season it should all come together
What incredible snow and weather conditions you were blessed with! As a retired NE climber and skier, I can almost promise you that you'll be savoring the golden memories of this day for the rest of your life, and doing so even more fondly with every passing decade, for the stoke never dies! 😛🤩 Nicely done, man! 💪⛏
Glad you enjoyed it! Having the map out is a fun way to visualize. A big reason I make this videos is to inspire people about what’s out there, so I’m glad you’re getting stoked on it.
Thank you! I think I’ve got all I can get for the season. I have 4 lines left on the North side of the range, 7 total. Currently all of them are melted out except for Stovepipe, which I’m saving. Middle Sister might still be skiable but I know I can get that line in better conditione
@@extreme_ryan_delena Right on. I had to end up waiting till next season to finish the Winter48 list, just ran out of time. No sweat, them mountains ain't goin anywhere!
Dude we’ve got an awesome ski mountaineering scene and a similar snowpack to the Sierra. Obviously not nearly as much terrain, but I’ve been cracking away at the guidebook intentionally and still haven’t got em all so there’s plenty !
Thank you! That’s kinda the idea with this whole project, to show that with a little rope work and mountaineering knowledge, the whole range is skiable. Used similar tactics with Shoestring and Damnation
