I think they’re decent renderings and could be built by a Kroneke but not a John Fisher Still not a good sign for Oakland that this is out, and I truly believe that this is a sign that the move to Vegas is likely gonna push through.

I hate John Fisher, and yhe last 4 years of this franchise as much as anyone else, that being said, if somehow, someway, they can pull this off, I feel like a lot of people will say this thing looks and plays super damn cool.

I was trying to picture myself in the stands looking at the inner renderings. As a fan, my eyes would be drawn more to the I guess canopy than they would the field.

this is a farce of a rendering, the "view" you'll get in reality as what's in this picture won't be there as anything the casino builds will likely be located in front of that new york "skyline" as it'll be blocked i don't know what that scoreboard or video screen is above RF is, seems like the a's went to walk on fremont street and saw the new vegas sphere nearby the strip and decided hey "how about we do that with our ballpark too" ... imagine the cost to do anything close to what this rendering is proposing on that large of a scale with an LED video screen fixed to the roof i read the fremont street canopy cost 30+ million, how much is this thing going to cost for the a's, just don't see it happening, a's spent 10 million on two new video screens at the coliseum back in 2015 ... you really think this cheap owner is going to spent as much as 3x or 4x, maybe even more to get this LED video screen on the roof to become a reality, good luck with that not to mention that height is going to be an issue as the flight path to the reid airport nearby is close to this location on the strip so you can't have the top of the roof or have any lights from the venue itself that will hamper airplanes landing to the runways that are only a few hundred feet away ... again good luck getting approval with FAA as they aren't going to be lax in their demands and restrictions of what can and can't be built here also the estimated cost of this ballpark as of now is 1.5 billion, if they're going to build anything close to what is proposed i'm guessing it'll cost at minimum 2 billion, just look at the cost over runs of the sphere and allegiant stadium sphere was initially projected to cost 1.2 billion and it ended up costing 2.3 billion allegiant stadium went from costing initially 1.4 billion to 1.9 billion and although the a's got nearly 400 million from the state of nevada, i doubt this current owner who is "billionaire broke" can afford or will be able to find anybody to help him come up with the other 1.5+ billion of private money to build this ballpark is vegas for him which he also won't own which is just mind boggling in itself what you see now and what eventually gets built if it ever does will be a stripped down cheaper version because there is no way this current cheap owner will be to afford to build a MLB caliber ballpark at this location without cutting corners somewhere

I’m not an A’s fan. I think the renderings look cool. Regarding no retractable roof, the reason given was that in their study of stadiums with them, they’re seldom used, so they deemed it unnecessary. If true, that retractable roofs aren’t used much, then I’d agree with not having one. Plus, it’s the desert…I can’t imagine there being many days from June thru sep when it’s cool enough to even have it open (go look at avg temps by month for LV)
