Spent my Christmas Holiday in the Desert of Abu Dhabi with Family. Here is what I got up to in the amazing Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort. Thanks for Watching!
Is becouse the Habsburg are not anymore a royal family, meanwhile the Windsor are a royal family today, so they have some protocols, they are a institution, not just a family
@@BernardS4 in the past "von" was a aristocratic thing, but today mostly descendents of surnames with the "von" thing are not necesarilly "aristocrats" anymore, maybe in their genealogic tree there are a aristocrat in the past
History’s funny sometimes. In another lifetime, this guy would be the heir presumptive to the throne of a centuries-old empire; attending ceremonies, dressing up all the time, learning from his father and various advisors on how to be a good emperor, etc, all the while anxiously awaiting when it was his turn. And yet because of how things played out IRL, he’s instead a professional race-car driver and pretty much just a normal dude.
What I love about this guy is that despite the fact that he's a descendant of the Habsburgs he acts so normal in his vids and instagram posts. I also like his professionalism. Meanwhile the kids of politicians in my country who were probably descendants of slaves act like as if they own the world.
@@nairisangaming9419 Just because the Habsburgs ruled Austro-Hungary, the war did not start on their initiative. Conrad von Hötzendorf, Chief of the Austrian General Staff, wanted war. Not Emperor Franz Josef. But Hötzendorf only wanted war if Germany was on Austria's side. Kaiser Wilhelm II then encouraged Austria to attack Serbia as long as Russia was locked in civil war. The Habsburgs are no more or less to blame for the war than the Hohenzollerns, Romanovs or Windsors (then still Saxe-Coburg-Gotha). British Royalty has the blood of billions on their hands from the colonies they themselves ruled and the slaves they held. Nevertheless, today they are worshiped as if they were celebrities.
@@-Eisenfaust- well Franz Josef still approved the war. He never did anything to stop it from happening. He was in full control. If he wanted to he could tell his staff to stfu but he didn't. He wanted territory and large access to sea. Romanovs protected Serbia because of religious reasons. England joined the war after Germans declared war on France. So they didn't activly seek war at that time. I agree with you about shared blame of those in power. It was obvious that they all wanted something from this war. Still i belive things would turn out diffrently if the Habsburgs tried to stop anything at least once. But they didn't. I dislike the British royals aswell i think they are a joke and Romanovs let their country starve well before Lenin and Stalin appeared. But still Romanovs and Brits didn't start the war. Habsburgs did.
They are a lot of leak stuff out there of members of active royals living like everyday kids compare to the politician of their own countries who are like rich kids the future queen of Norway had a summer job as a dish washer for example
I love the Habsburg family.Especially Archduke Ferdinand and his cousin Archduke Alexander. They are lovely! I wish your life many blessings Archduke Ferdinand and may the year 2020 be wonderful! May Blessed Charles intercede for you and your whole family !
Hahah 😆 Archduchess Glori is super cool sister!! Our Imperial family is also good music group. I really like how You are singing carols😋. Interesting vlog again Your Highnesty!
when you come to Colombia? I came here (this video) because I was looking to learn about cars ... how great to see you outside of racing, and with respect, ¡what beautiful eyes you have! Greetings from Colombia in Latin America.❤
@@FHabsburg62 I was there last year and wondered what an earth was happening- but eventually got the clue. To the question if our driver had ever tipped over the SUV on the dunes, the answer was "a few times." That certainly added excitement to the trip, but I wasn't quite sure if I had actually wanted that. You presumably remembered to pump the tires up on the way back? :)
Love the baby jar of Nutella! I wonder if we have those here. When you are away for Christmas do you miss home at that time? I spent the holiday season in Austria, Switzerland, and Spain once. I arrived home two days before Christmas, and it felt odd to me that year. I think Christmas in the US is much different.
Nice video! I love the Nutella part! hahaha but why did you say you "can not drive"? Why is it that keeps you from driving there? You don't have international license? Or does Abu Dhabi require a special one? Danke, Liebling, pass gut auf ;)
Also ich habe ja viel erwartet aber den Vlog Kanal eines Habsburgers jetzt nicht xD Muss verrückt seine eine Familie mit solch einer Geschichte zu haben
Hey Ferdinand, you should stream on twitch!!! I feel like you could make it big there and bring a new perspective to the platform. Twich is basically livestreaming for people who play games, but recently a lot of people from different backgrounds( including racing pros) have begun to join the platform and stream themselves talking about racing and playing racing simulators. I love reading and studying your family btw (kinda feel creepy staying that LOL).
Hello and greetins from Czechia, this video was really nice. Could you make some videos in Deutsch? I would love to practice my Deutsch. Thank you very much. God bless you.
@@FHabsburg62 I was surprised by your American accent. You must have spent a lot of time in the U.S. BTW, I learned a great deal about the Habsburg dynasty while at school in Austria. Strobl am Wolfgangsee. Fun family video.
Pre-1918, that would be correct, if you want to be technical. Alas, there is no more k.u.k. More’s the pity. Regardless please leave my mother out of it!
Devo Yes.... he is the legitimate ruler of all Austria , Hungary and the entire Austrian Empire. Intimately tied to the Habsburg Throne, Austria destiny remains !!!!!!
@@ethanjones1770 How dilusional are you poeple? The guy is just a normal guy who wants to pursue a carrier in auto racing, not recreate a regressive absolutist state and rule Austria. Also you're American, why do you care for the Austrian monarchy?
@@someonesilence3731 I'm not delusional. I know he is "just a normal guy" but his family and the claims he has are there and will be there until he lets them go. He is a prince by birth and will be a pretender to the Austrian Throne. Also why does me being American have to do with anything, I like history and the idea of monarchies. It doesn't matter if he will become the Emperor-King, but it's just a fun idea. Also all I said was he the heir.
@@davoncole7859 More and more everyday. Monarchism is on the way up after huge successes in former Habsburg lands such as Liechtenstein and Montenegro, it's gotten a lot of minds jogging. Prince Ferdinand seems like a genuine and honest person, so he would be a great Emperor, but he seems to be having a lot of fun in racing so I would hate to take him from that!
@@pjblackham8554 it seems like he doesn't know who he is, except he comes from a very wealthy family and there history of power and he doesn't take on them titles he wants to be different. Family road horses he drives race car. He is always very charismatic i can see the whole world loving him. He lives a lifestyle the world admire.
@@davoncole7859 If we won't see the monarchical systems return any time soon, then a good man that simply represents his family well is exactly what the Habsburgs need. That's what Ferdinand definitely is. With that said, knowing how involved his father and elder sister have been in politics and law, I can't imagine he's completely in the dark on these issues.
@@pjblackham8554 right im sure they are grooming him. I just learned there was two roman empires. There was a split and the holy Roman empire came into existence
He is now A Mechanic. Were cuzins. Rosas-Rodriguez. My mom's side of my family. The British Monarchy Think that they only Exist. What about Every one. Else???
Are you all mad? Why are you calling them Archdukes and so on? By austrian law, those titels are forbidden. No need to crawl before this family any more!
@@Blake4014 By calling them "Your highness"? This is not beeing friendly, this is BS! This family nearly destroyed the country. I thought the heirs would be more decent, but it seems as if they just love beeing called Archduke etc. In Austria, it is forbidden to have those titels, even the "von" in the name is not right.
Come on, no reason to panic or being unfair. The House of Austria founded Austria by unifying the nowadays federal states, developed it into one of the most flourishing centres of culture and science (no world star Mozart without Habsburg money), brought health care and education for everyone and made it the heart piece of a great power. Plus, the Habsburgs were definitely the most peaceful of the A-list royal houses in Europe. Except for a short periode in the 19th century where Chancellor Metternich was the de facto ruler and the influence of Sophie of Bavaria there's also basically no oppression of their people you will find (and obviously you can't do a democracy in a medievalish country of uneducated farmers). Sure, WWI was shit, but so was WWII, for which a great portion of (German-)Austrian people had the fault by happily supporting the Nazis. During that time the family Habsburg was even key to the Austrian resistance in the USA against the Nazis. So no reason to go mad and treat them like criminals. There's nothing wrong with people showing a little appreciation for all that, while being a proud citizen of the Republics of their former hereditary lands or other realms.
@@rwh6807 Also ich rieche da neid das du aus einer langweiligen Standartfamilie ohne Geschichte kommst, während die Vorfahren des jungen Mannes hier deine Vorfahren regiert haben. Also knie nieder Leibeigener!
