There are 5 dB of difference between KS21 and KS28. It means that if you compare two KS21 to one KS28, you have a bit more energy with the two KS21. These SPL values are given for speccific measurement scenarios. In real life, we also have dynamic information and feeling that is not given by Max SPL values. Listening to KS21 results in an impressive impact feeling. We would say, that choosing between 2 KS21 or 1 KS28 is a matter of bandwidth. If you want more impact, you can go for KS21, if you want more bandwidth, you can go for KS28. That said, we should always consider the system as a whole. Subs + Main. KS21 is optimized for A Series whereas KS28 is optimzed for large format line source systems (K2, K1). This does not mean that KS21 can not be used with other systems, but should be kept in mind.
