I see these I&O locos just about daily in Pleasant Plain where I live. Maybe you can do a video of them at the SR132 crossing sometime. If Pleasant-Renner crossing is 3 miles from your house you must be close to me, I live right in the middle of the town. BTW, I grew up in Glendale in the sixties and seventies and remember getting stuck on the west side of the tracks trying to get home for supper. Also the Meritage restaurant building used to be the Iron Horse Inn which my father owned in the mid 80's.
Wow, you aren`t far from me at all! I remember when the Meritage was the Iron Horse Inn too. That`s been a while for sure. I have never been in that building, but maybe one day soon, who knows. I would like to catch the I&O at 132, just haven`t gotten that lucky yet. I get them from my car there once about 3 or 4 years ago though.
Yes, Scott I and O supposed to be getting rid of all of their EMD power except for the locals they kept some for them when they bought those GE‘s from BNSF but I love their paint scheme when they repaint them they really look good but anyway, my friend another great video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
I almost always root for the underdog or the little guy, so I appreciate seeing I&O trains. Today's train may have been short, but it was mighty! I also appreciate hearing historical facts so I like the story about the hardware store. Thank you for the great shots today, Scott! 😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤
Might be a short train but worth it for the 3 beautiful locos & chase through the countryside wow they got a loud horn! That bridge in Loveland is lovely really pretty. Thanks Scott! ❤😊👍
Good morning, my Friend, we are still raining, had weather alert at midnight, for additional 3 inches of rain before daybreak, and it is right now here in North Carolina 3 am. We need a row boat, LOL.
Good made video, mr 1960gambit. It is a short video but nice to see where the train is riding through the green field and always long train, why a short train has some thing a story. Follow a train and see the switchers and replacing of railcars by the customers. Here in the Netherlands not always to see the discharging/loading further on the yard of the company. See the oil raffinage in the port of Rotterdam. Thx for this topvideo 🚆👍💪💪👍👌🚆. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
in general....yes you do know what you are going to pick up, In most operations in North America you leave the yard knowing your pickups. There are of course exceptions.
I think they were going to be bringing back a long train from Cincinnati and they definitely would have needed all 3 of these guys to get the job done if that was the case. This line is uphill for about 35 miles from Cincinnati.
oh Scott they must either baby their power or have an innate fear of a breakdown to run 3 engines that pull!! 1 would have done it with ponies to spare!!!
I suspect they were going to be bringing 90 to 110 cars back with them from Cincy. This line is uphill for 35 miles from there, so they would need them all for sure.
When there are multiple locomotives on a train and they get to a crossing, and the horn blows, is it just the lead locomotive who's horn blows, or all of them? The way DPUs have the power linked, are the horns the same way? Thanks, Scott! 😃😃😃
