A little while ago I reviewed the Inkbird aquarium controller which had two probes and wifi connectivity, problem was - it had no cooling circuit (which in my opinion is kinda important for a temperature controller!!)
Inkbird heard my feedback and suggested a much more simple temperature controller that they feel will meet my requirements a lot better.
So here we are, is the Inkbird ITC-308S any good?

I got the 306 after your review - I'm happy with it - if someone leaves the window open (its zero here) the temp drops fast - and as I'm going home to Sydney for xmas for a month if my life leaves the window open whilst I'm away I will know LOL

I have the same Inkbird and I love it. I will say though that the alarm tolerances you set are pretty far out, by the time you hear them (32 degrees) you’ve probably already lost everything. I have my high and low temp alarms set to 1.5 degrees off my set temp so that I have time to act if I hear the alarm. Just my 2c

Yeah that’s a personal preference. The alarms are really loud, so I don’t want them to go off without reason. But yes, I should adjust them :)

Thats a good option for summer Sam and I already have one. Oh well pull the 306 out next week and in with the 308 (though mine has a metal probe, maybe an old model). It's time to put the fans back on anyhow!

Hi, If i only use a heater on this and set the heater to 27c and i set this controller to 25 i can end up with 24.7 - 25.3 stable temperature ?. Ive got a controller now that only allows me 1c above and below my set temp so it fluctuates from 24 - 26 Just not good enuff and costs more then this option.

Hey Sam just wondering if I have the 308 do I need the 306? I'm thinking of picking up a Schego heater and wasn't sure if I need the 306 or can I just plug into the 308? Thanks for the help.

Hey Walter, the 308 will work fine - just make sure you have one with the waterproof thermometer. :)
