Strange how this French boat stopped and questioned you and yet do nothing about the illegal immigrants that make their way across this stretch of water
Thank you Tony and crew for a delightful ride. I will never be able afford to travel overseas, but I sure enjoy tagging along with you. Love the music and the maps and your soothing voice. You give us all a chance to forget about vaccines, masks and germs and just enjoy Gods creation and mans handiwork. Keep sailing, Carolyn from central Illinois , USA
Another great voyage on Venture II, I enjoy your trips and try to keep up with you on my computer using Google Earth an do so for the most part. I am also a lover of trawlers and about ready to purchase one, the Fleming 65 is on top of my list.
Tony, your narrated videos are always instructive and entertaining. Following you and all of your adventures started with my reading about your adventures when I read your memoir, “Riding the Tide”. Your travels and experiences by land and sea stimulate and rekindle old memories from my own adventures I’ve had over many decades. Thank you for sharing your marvelous adventures and so many wonderful stories about traveling in Africa, Asia and aboard Venture I and II.
Beautiful production! Thank you for posting! It was inspirational for our static, repetitious life. Tomorrow will be different…reflecting what I’ve seen in this video! Thank you from Louisiana.
Well, Tony. I have watched all of your videos from past and present. And i can assure yoy, nobody has ever presentert the beauty of our shorelines , around the Globe, in a better way than what you have done. What might be a Good ideay, is to invite Sir David Attenborough to a trip on one of your boats. You seem to share many similar concerns and interests, And to the benefit of the planet itselfe. So why not, Tony? And If you ned a hand on the deck, i will make myself available.
Hi Tony, Well done for another great informative video. This one takes me back to May 1994 when I was shipwrecked in the Solent at the Chichester bar in a force 8 only to be saved by the RNLI at 12 at night. When the morning came we were taken to Sparks marina in Haying Island were our yacht a 30ft Spinner’s marine ply deck was smashed to bits with the broken mast lying inside the hull. I continued to sail for a few years after that then moved back to Scotland where I have never sailed. I seen your video when you visited your great grandfather’s birth place on Jura which I’m sure when it was recorded that I was in Tayvallich . Since I found your films on RU-vid it has rekindled my love of travel and especially sailing. Now I cartel my my travels to a motorhome which both my partner Eileen and myself are off to the northwest of Scotland this weekend starting at loch Maree then for another 8 days moving around making it up as we go along.Maybe one day I will sail again and maybe one day I will sail in Scotland. Cheers James.
I never thought I might view industrial riversides in a good light but your style between a docu/travel/ history / wildlife video gives it a certain almost , beauty. With the enunciated but mellow commentary and calming unobtrusive musical interludes is brilliant and no advertisements for the boat she just there the constant travel companion . Wonderful thank you .
Hi Tony! What a great report! You're visiting my home area, Northrhine Westphalia. And you could even visit me in person, as I am living very close to the Wesel Datteln Canal in Dorsten. We even have a small marina, I think they would be very poud to host such a famous ship! You mentioned that Venture II will be shown on a boat show - will that be "Boot 2022" in January? If so, I will definetely try to meet you there! Cheers, Herb
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL AND AMAZING TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY I HAVE EVER SEEN!. THANK YOU. - I watch all your Venture Boats trips (Aleutians, Alaska, British Columbia, Europe, Ireland, England, California, Idaho, New York). All videos are properly edited and perfectly presented. All landscapes, scenes, nature, blue sky, grey sky, deep blue sea make me feel so good. It is very soothing and entertaining. Whenever I am stressed out in my life, I always go to watch your sailing videos and it comfort me a lot. - I enjoy watching all your videos (on my 72" flat screen TV - SONY) all time, every weekend from my home in Los Angeles. Even though I am not fortunate like you to circumnavigate the globe and travel on own boat, your sea journey and wonderful voyage videos have brought many delights and good feeling to me. We all ordinary people are grateful to you (Gratitude) for your generous and wonderful presentations. Thank you.
Great video until i came to 35.35 where i noticed the Dutch Flag was upside down! I was born in 1939 and been living in Canada since 1955, those Germans !!!
It's a shame, that you haven't gone more south to Cologne, Bonn until Koblenz, where the river Mosel meets the Rhein. So many castles, so many nice spots. Germany is a beautiful country, but I prefer since 20 years beeing in Brazil. Maybe you come visit me some day in Maceió, Alagoas.
I hope someone is sleeping better knowing you have removed their 81 seconds of music. The positive is it gave us another reason to watch a very entertaining video. Thanks. We can only hope someone comes up with a quality site to compete with youtube that will force it to be less heavy handed and less censoring. FJB
I was so happy to enjoy a bit of peaceful normal life. I grew during the peaceful era after the last great world war 2. We had summer bungalows beaches to explore, bonfires on the beach, sailing, water skiing, tennis, and later the new sport of surfing. I graduated from university in 1969. What a peaceful era, the next 20 years. Now my 6 children face strange new challenges in economic and health. My grandchildren and children, I pray godspeed and happy smiles. It is a new world.
I can’t see the footage of Holland without having my minds eye go to WWII and Operation Market Garden. Gen. Montgomery’s not so brilliant idea, that got many men killed and wounded.
Always a Delight to watch a Fleming video..... I have seen this video 3 times and it is still as good as the first time ....... It is about time we had some new ones..... I do hope that Tony and his Family are well and happy...... :-)))
The Fleming family are all well thank you. I agree that new videos are needed and would be great. The hold up has been partly because lack of cruising during Covid but also because of false copyright claims against music used in my videos, This video has been off line for more than one month because of a false claim of copyright on music used in the video. ALL the music I use has been purchased with license from legitimate sources but bad actors have found a way to falsely claim copyright. You Tube supports the claimant against the creator and we are considered guilty unless we can prove ourselves innocent. This takes a huge amount of time and is an absolute disgrace.
@@FlemingYachts Ohhh there are some very annoying people out there... The Internet is a wonderful thing as it brings the world and all it`s wonders to me in my office... But it is so easy for People to abuse the system...I know there are some music sites that do very good mood music without copyright.... a young lady called "Itchyboots" travels the world alone on a bike, well worth a look. She will have a link to a site you might find useful... I wish you luck with your endeavor's, and look forward to seeing your future travels... Best wishes and love to you all.... :-))))
I ALWAYS love coming along with Venture exploring the world,..I'll never ever be able to afford one of these beautiful crafts,..but oh if I win the lottery. :). All these bucolic little towns on the ocast,..I would sail into them and never want to leave
Dartmouth,Nova Scotia,Canada 🇨🇦I live here. Many towns and cities in the UK have a corresponding town and city in Nova Scotia. Thanks for these wonderful videos. So much better than other documentaries. The narrator has a way of making us live his voyage.
I never ever had any intention of owning two boats. After taking original Venture from Alaska to Nova Scotia she was put up for sale on the US East Coast and the yard built Venture II to European spec and shipped to Europe. Venture did not sell and, not wanting to own two boats, Venture II was put up for sale after two years of cruising to Iceland etc and the original Venture shipped back to the US West Coast where she still is. She now has more than 71,000 nm under her keel.
@@FlemingYachtssimply beautiful boats. I love the lines and being able to walk all the way around. Just a beautiful design. I have enjoyed your documentaries. Thanks for explaining about the two boats. All the best.
I am pleased that you are pleased to see this episode. However it is not actually "new". Over the past few months there has been an onslaught of false claims for copyright against the music used in videos uploaded on You Tube. ALL the music used in my videos has been purchased from legitimate companies with legal rights to use it. You Tube threatened the entire Fleming Yachts channel if I did not take down this video. So I did this and after one month of trying to prove my innocence with the help of the company from whom I purchased the music some 10 years ago, I was finally able to re upload the video. To see all the videos available, go to www.flemingyachts.com and click on the red You Tube button at the top right of the home page.
I watch your adventures all over the world over and over again with my family. I'm in love with your amazing vessels I tell anyone who will listen to a land locked sailer about them. Very recent was my friends at Nautistyle they have a great yacht review channel on RU-vid. Very educational and quirky couple that make great quality walk throughs I think they would do a great review on a Fleming 78. Please consider giving them the opportunity to come aboard one of your magnificently proven vessels. Thank you. I am a life time Fleming fan.
I see thier law enforcement are afraid of real criminals as well. If you'd have been an illegal they'd have gave you a bag full of cash and a hot meal... Let's Go Brandon
