Never bored of seeing the chickens and the fur babies. 💛 Also I completely agree with using "the best" items in your home. It seems very common we are taught that the "good" china and crystal is to be used for special occasions only. Then one day I realized no-one is more special than my husband and son and every day with them is a special occasion. So since then our daily dinner wear is my china and crystal.

I absolutely believe in always using the “good” special item, anytime you feel like it. It is never too special for you, you are never too ordinary for it. If it gets damaged or broken, it just becomes part of its story. If you have to replace it because you used it, at least you have created irreplaceable memories with it, instead of it sitting in the cupboard or in a box for years collecting dust waiting for a time that will be good enough to enjoy it. 🤎
Hi Lydia! Powdery Mildew can be resolved with baking powder, tiny bit of dish soap and water mixture. Spray it on the affected areas. ❤ or you can purchase a Neem oil spray.
To anyone I know who says they don’t like tomato’s, I ask if they’ve eaten a homegrown one. Categorically taste nothing like supermarkets. When my dad grew tomatoes they were hands down the best we ever had. So pleased you like your homegrown ones!

During this end of the summer time, I get up in the morning and go outside to pick the wild blackberries for my breakfast. It's a little ritual I do most mornings and I love it; it relaxes me a lot. In a short while I should be able to pick both, wild blackberries and figs. It's one of my favourite times of the year.

Asparagus produces spears in the spring for about 2-3months. Following months you should let it grow and become a patch of ferns for the rest of the year. Mow the ferns down at the end of winter ready for harvest. ❤

Hi Lydia- I’ve never liked radishes until i found a recipe to cook the radishes in butter, salt and pepper. I just sauté them in a small fry pan. Cooking takes the heat and bite out of them. They are so good this way. 😊

If you boil radishes they end up very similar to potatoes!! No joke. I peel them sometimes but not always . Butter chives and S and P so yum . Also great in casseroles and no carbs xxxx your friendship with Carrie is such an important part of you . X
You can keep the egg shell from the eggs that you use, dry them and then smash them so small pieces and give it to the food that you give the chicken. This is how we are doing it in the east 🌱

As an Italian American I thought it funny when you said, "I don't know what to do about eating tomatoes in the winter when they can't come from my garden..." It's very easy. We don't eat fresh tomatoes in the winter....only summer garden tomatoes!!! My very favorite!

my husband used to be a super picky eater with vegetables and fruits, and I always told him I didn’t believe him because he just hadn’t tried it in a way he likes 😂 over the years we’ve had higher quality produce and eaten at more special restaurants, and he’s been happily surprised to genuinely enjoy foods he usually hates! It really does make a huge difference!

Mrs Lydia, I appreciate you like GREEN, blue, white etc but Carrie's dress brought warmth to you skin. You need to introduce colours to your wardrobe and it was nice seeing you carrying a rucksack🤣❤. Miss Carrie, those grow bags are rubbish (plants need depth for their roots and plants to thrive. Lydia , I noticed your tomato plants need cutting back (more air flow at the bottom and remove the suckers). I def made a difference between how my tomatoes plants grow and fruit (just a tip). Nothing like growing your own food

Asparagus! You have to let them grow up, that's how the plants get stronger! The general rule of thumb is to not harvest the first year, harvest about a quarter from each plant the second year, about half the third year, and 3/4 the fourth year, then you can do a full harvest. But you only harvest until the end of June. If I remember correctly, you moved some of the crowns. This may have weakened the plants. Also, the male plants are supposed to be better, they get flowers, but obviously no seeds, so I suppose they're not using as much energy. Mine are a mix, as I couldn't source male plants.

Put a little salt and pepper on your raw tomatoes. Yummy! Also, we make tomato sandwiches; bread with mayonnaise spread on it, with sliced tomatoes. You can also add crispy bacon and lettuce for a BLT. Give it a try; I think that you will enjoy it too!🥰

Lydia, I don't think I've ever offered a suggestion to you so I hope you don't take this as a criticism. In watching you spray your bespoke fragrance, I noticed that you sprayed it on your neck, but mostly in your hair. I've seen you do this before with other fragrances. Which leads me to your hair journey, which, I agree with everyone; your hair is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. But do you think spraying perfume accidently on the hair framing your face, may make it drier and more prone to breakage? Especially, being that this hair is your face framing area which is the part that is most fragile because we touch it a lot, it gets pulled back the most, etc when pulling hair away from our faces. Just food for thought. Perfume usually has quite a bit of alcohol in it. Be mindful of that maybe....because your hair is to DIE for. 🥰
