That idea of Pendragon becoming a Dark Brethren member is very mind blowing, but so awesome.

The problem is that its a game and they don't know about the player base "betraying him" but in his view he sacrificed himself and the plan failed.

If they add another player started event similar to the fotd in the devils roar or even an ocean event fighting multiple megs or whatever, ill be so excited.

It really makes you wonder what would have happened if flameheart was forever defeated (for the 3rd time) and Pendragon was a hero

Pendragon's role in Pirate's life might be contradictory to this theory, especially compared to Merrick, who used to be a faction leader himself just to be contained within the Athena Fortune hideout, rather than actively shown outside of it(the exception being trailers, since his phantomization), though the Demarco mystery seems resolved, though no one in the SoT fully dies, and the captain hasn't been fully revealed either. It's all theory, though the devs love the community trying to guess their lore intentions

the servant says that the imposter sees a vault, so he may literally mean the gold horder representative at golden sands. since the faction is (was?) created by wrathbone, a member of the brethren, could he be being ordered to spy? maybe wrathbone is still able to communicate while his head is on a stick

I thought from the picture of the next adventure that the traitor would be the Pirate Lord himself, but Pendragon makes so much more sense. I do think it would be good if the Cap'n is a character we've seen before in the game to make he reveal more shocking.

Dude I always love your attention to detail. I think you hit the nail on the head. I don't really see how it could be anyone else plus it would be perfect in telling a story that gives REAL consequences for player actions and not just player actions but the whole player base. Man wouldn't it be neat that those that sided with Pendragon could actually meet up with him and do voyages for him in his quest for revenge and those that chose Flameheart would get Flameheart specific voyages but could not do Pendragon quests.

Very wild idea, for awhile I’ve thought the rats were controlled by the order of souls but this seems more plausible!

I tried my best to help save Pendragon during that adventure involving the forts (forgot the name of it); wouldn't blame him one bit for turning on the Athena's. It would also be the perfect fit for an epic overall storyline.

Wait.. the spot where Merrick is become the vault.. the vault is in the shot when they pan towards the docks, right before the scene transitions to footage from Merrick leaning on the railing (the last shot of it being at 1:56) So idk what falcor is talking about on the part of the vault.

In that photo with the cannons, it also looks like the ghost in the captains quarters is holding the sword of souls

I've always been a LITTLE bit confused on something. This doesn't relate really to the topic of this video, of course, but my main question is - Do Pirates of the Caribbean and Sea of Thieves share the same universe/timeline? I would assume not, but even still. I imagine that if they do, the Pirate's Life tall tales would take place following Pirates 5. Jack sails on his beloved ship the Black Pearl to a "Rondevu beyond my beloved horizon," who then finds a mystical treasure and makes it to the Sea of Thieves. Makes sense. And in the post-credits scene, it is revealed that Davy Jones may not be as dead and gone as we thought and that he may have somehow returned. Obviously, this could be a set up for Pirates 6, but it would also make sense timeline-wise as, now that Jones is back, he too could show up in the Sea of Thieves. And then the Tall Tales happen and we await Pirates 6. But... I'm just not sure if they even share the same universe like a lot of my friends do or if they follow the same canon (no pun intended). Because, assuming the Pirate's Life tall tales take place in between Pirates 5 and 6, that would mean that Davy Jones would have to somehow find a way out of the Sea of the Damned in order to come back for Pirates 6. Again, it's all a bit of a stretch, but I'm starting to think that they're not in the same story. SO! It would be very kind if someone could give me a solid YES or NO answer for whether they share the same universe OR if you are just as confused as I am... (Listen captain-my-captain, I'm coming to you for the lore here...)

Plot twist: You get a new boss fight, but it´s pendragon and not flameheart, the old skeleton man is just going to rest in his little throne underground talking to captain falcore while curling his beard

Does anyone know what the theme that plays at 8:17 is? It is clearly a diffrent version of the mystery ending theme but I never heard it before. Sounds great.

I think the rat is a shapeshifted Duke seeing as he has a prominent rat tattoo on his chest plus at the end of the pirate Lord’s instruction manual there was a series of spellings of the Pirate Lord’s signature like someone was trying to get it just right and if we remember Duke was illiterate and Umbra was apparently teaching him to read and write at the Lagoon of Whispers.

I believe you have your clues Jumbled. The Legendary Treasure Seeker outfit is a Red Herring, it appeared many times in posts regarding the DeMarco Mystery. Also you have completed disregarded the Twitter post from January 14 of this year, which also shows the rat in the background. Its shows the Wailing Barnacle Pistol, with a “wrong answers only” tag applied

A PLAGUE IS COMING! Think about it Rats carried the Black Death. The rats moved from port to port on ships. With the new Saw Bones cosmetics in the shop being designed after Plague Doctors proves it to me!

Personally if we’re gonna talk about Pendragon I wouldn’t think he would ally himself with the dark brethren, pendragon‘s personality always had this air of nobility even after coming to the Sea Of Thieves and losing the title of sir, he always acted like a “sir” there’s a sense of honor and duty in the area of responsibility both with the pros and cons if the dark brethren came to him and offer him this idea it would probably go against his personal values, just my pov on that idea, personal I feel like the pirate lord may actually have more of a hand in this distraction then anything, but that’s a minor isea

I think Davy Jones throws a wrench into this theory because he wasn't exactly an outcast *of* the Sea of Thieves when he founded the Dark Bretheren to conquer the Sea of the Damned and install himself as the new Ferryman *and* Pendragon helped defeat him. I think he moreso just sought out the more "outcast" type of characters that would have a good reason to go against pretty much EVERYONE in the SoT. I also doubt that a character like Pendragon would blame the Sea of Thieves as a whole because it's not like the Pirate Lord, Belle, or anyone outside of the Reapers actually betrayed him. He shouldn't have any resentments towards them, since they didn't do ANYTHING against him. Yes, we as the players had the choice and people that regularly side with Athenas swapped and sided with Reapers just to bring Flameheart back, but lore wise, I doubt that's going to translate to "Athena's Fortune betrayed Pendragon" especially when it pretty much immediately resulted in all-out war between the two factions. On top of that, considering he's directly in multiple Tall Tales as a legendary heroic figure, I doubt Rare would want to change that image of him. It would confuse newer players seeing him as a villain in one part of the game, but an ally when doing other parts.

Are the storylines worthwhile and able for a solo new player? I just started playing and getting through the love/hate phase and trying to learn how to play and learning how much content is available is exciting yet considering how ruthless players are it’s not fun to spend so much time trying to figure out riddles etc only to lose it all and get absolutely nothing. So many players are immature and toxic it can take the fun out of it.

So, I’m watching this video a year later. Now it’s obvious that the hints were for monkey island. What was no expected, was that you had the monkey island theme playing at the end of the video. Sneaky

I called Pendragon switching sides ages ago and it really wouldn't suprise me, he's gave it all TWICE and lost it all TWICE, I doubt the legend in the prison is the Captain because the brethren would want to release him surely not leave him to rot? I think myself that the legend is the Gold Hoarder now he's been killed proper (his head is a staff now, he's not coming back) and it would make sense that the insider have something to do with the gold hoarders if the vault that's been built has anything to do with it

If the pendragon theory is true, it would be cool if pendragon moved to a different position in the painting every few updates

Ok, it’s a long shot, a very long shot across ten airport takeoff fields blindfolded, and I don’t know much about monkey island, only the story, but a friend of mine told me that lechuck had a thing for rats and he used them many times before in the games, so maybe lechuck is our secret admirer to try and build up hype for the new monkey island tall tales

I pretty sure that Pendragon is not going to join of the dark brethren when he helped us the stop Davey Jones to take over the sea of Thieves and the sea of the damned by merging those two worlds into one world Pendragon has a hero ghost heart if he did join them he will messed up of their plans.

Called this about a month or 2 ago! It's gotta be pendragon. But this narrative doesn't fit. He effectively resurrected flameheart and has been working against Athena the whole time. They either need to follow up on this or just let the character die.

And also just because Ramsey set all day on a chair doesn’t mean he’s lazy he’s dead so basically flamefart dead so basically they’re both dead entity so which means flame fart Will be a guy sitting on a chair basically I think I know the reason why it’s called rest in peace house of the dead the time on the sea of thieves ended

If Pendragon does become a Dark Bretheren member, i will still support him since Athena and Reapers are bad by all logic and reasoning, one wishes to let trading company's in, other wishes to rule the sea of thieves.

But what if the true rat is actually Belle? Think about it. She's been there every step of the way, every adventure, typically being a third party to guide you along. She remains even after Pendragon sacrificed himself to try and save the seas, and was even the one you spoke to and got sent off by to do the thing with the sea forts. If anyone would have the chance to feel betrayed, who knows of everything the pirates did, who has access to the sea of the damned without the need of a veil or a skull on a disney stick, it would be Belle. She could've even been manipulating the denizens in sea of thieves the entire time, convincing the pirate lord to unshroud golden sands to cover up the brethren assembling their skull stick portal device. goading pirates into resurrecting Flameheart by telling them how the sea forts tie in to distract the pirate lord. Giving the pirate lord the Veil to strengthen him, all so Flameheart and Ramsey would be so busy destroying each other in a pointless war while she and her dark brethren strengthen themselves unnoticed. It fits, if you line up the pieces.
