What a varied and amazing hike this was. Parking by Haweswater, I started by following The Old Corpse Road. As the name suggests, this was a route that used to be used to transport the dead across the hills so that they could be buried in hallowed ground.
From here I continued to wild and remote moorland, where Mosedale Cottage was finally reached and explored.
Finally, I entered a more rugged and dramatic area. A journey along Gatescarth Pass finished the journey. This was a brilliant route and one I highly recommend.
