@@abukitten ya'ani it'll make them uneasy and uncomfortable when they will have to make a judgement if shortening the prayer is really allowed for their circumstance esp considering the number of different opinions out there

Yes you can to Sunnah pray for fajr and witr... I believe those 2 prayers are still recommend to do while travelling but the Sunnah prayers before and after other fard prayers are not recommended to do when travelling...
What about the student at a university on another city if the stay for 5 month, but instead intend to stay for 5 months, are they still traveller there?

According to sheikh Assim Al Hakeem,and I hope I remember correctly you do the latter. Combine maghreb and Isha assuming you won't be praying jamaah. Anything wrong I have said is from me and shaytaan and Allah SWT and His messenger Salallahu'alayhi wasalaam is free from it
