Yet awards himself over 30% pay rise, imposes a £1500 pay increase on the workforce (2%). “Your people!” WTAF the workforce are entitled to a decent standard of living, those with their snouts in the trough are benefiting at the expense of the workforce, it suits their narrative to try to discredit the workforce looking to play the sympathy card & be divisive as ultimately they are the puppets of those in positions of power, MP’s received an above inflation pay rise of £2k per month , they get expenses where those that travel to work on a daily basis have to fork out of their own pockets! The NHS is too big, a monolith of huge proportions. Staff have become lazy through lack of control, as happened in all previous state run organisations. Steel, Coal, Education, Transport, were all inflicted with the same malaise. Even after privatisation it was the same staff with the same attitudes that spoiled the industries. Now we see greed rearing its ugly head again in those industries with staff numbers large enough to put pressure on an already stretched economy. How strange that these industries are the ones that are, or once were, privatised. The answer is simple.

Why couldn't Unions argue about better conditions before Brexit? I.e . Working hours directive is gone and new railway contracts are about to implement it. Now they are trying to reverse Brexit benefit. Isn't too late for that?

Look slightly less in the dividends to the shareholders, maybe reduce the bonuses on the top executives cause well they are already well compensated, the people who man the Post Offices, deliver the mail and parcels deserve a pay rise, after all they kept delivering the mail through the pandemic.

What labour say on their website sound great but we need a New Labour Party who's really connected with the workers because what is written on their site is what supposed to be but we see none of it. "The Labour Party was formed out of the trade union movement to give working people their own political voice. The link from the workplace to the party through the affiliated trade unions is what makes it unique to this day. This link is more important than ever as we work together to tackle the urgent problems we face as a country, from stagnating wages to failing public services. Labour Unions is the umbrella organisation that coordinates the activities of the 11 trade unions who affiliate to the Labour Party."

Dave Ward is only interested in appearing on T.V. and Post Office picket lines to make himself look good. I worked at the Bootle Santander site [known locally as The Giro] for 37years. Dave Ward and the C.W.U. did nothing to save our jobs. He couldn't be bothered to come up to Bootle and fight for our jobs Santander were allowed to outsource jobs to contractors. My own department TUPE transferred 5 times. The Paragon workers in Bootle were badly let down by Dave Ward and his cohorts. Who were content to see work sent to Sunderland and Dagenham sites. The rest of it sent to India and Milton Keynes. They were quite content to take our £15 a month union subs, but the support the Bootle staff got was lamentable.
