Hey doc, just so you know. Some people air down their tires when four wheeling in the snow. Then air back up again before they hit the paved road. You would need to carry an air compressor with you to air back up again. Aring down your tires makes them more plyable and more flexible and gives you a bigger footprint in the snow.

We get the same snow down here in the nw Florida panhandle girl, but we call it white sand cause as you know we rarely ever get snow here in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties,and never enough to actually stay on the ground or accumulate sunshine..

My Dear Dr. Hannah, so nice to see you. And what have you for us today? The absolute best that Mother Nature could muster, apparently. The snow-covered mountains, the gorgeous sunset and that amazing rising (setting?) moon - just WOW! At about 4:50 in when you were in the hot spring, you moved from the shadow into the light and it was stunning…I had to watch it several times to process what had happened and to make sure you weren’t trying any camera trickery 😉 Thank you so much for taking me along on this adventure and please beware of the waking bears! I pray you carry like a compact 10mm (Glock29) with you on these solo treks. Hungry awakening Bears and weirdos that also like to hang around hot springs as well. You are your only 9-1-1.

Doc wasn't kidding about the bears. When you walk up on a 350 black bear who stands up 2ft from your face from no where, intent on taking your head off, with claws the size of our fingers and teeth that smell like death, your about to have the fight of your life to live and not be eaten alive, when your 2 dogs charge in to drive him off, then you really know what a challenge that little lady takes to entertain us. 😎

Who believe she does all these travels in this wilderness and snow all alone? I dont. I believe someone travels with her for help and safety. It would be dangerous for her to do all this alone.

Hello Dr. Hannah Straight, As a Styrian man I have to say it's just really nice to be out in nature and to hike (fortunately here we have more or less no bears at all)! A very nice place to be with this beautiful hot spring and this full moon shot over the snow capped mountains on the end of your day was absolutely beautiful and could get me romantic too. Not how I'm used to seeing that place! Glad you made it in there okay. The "other" one not far from there (you know which one 😉), someone got stuck in the mud going out there the other day - in a 4x4! God I can't wait to get out there again thx for sharing!
Be careful of the tree well areas close around the trees on the mountains. They are known to trap people, especially when snowboarding. If one does not have a cell phone with GPS on them, then it becomes extremely dangerous and near impossible to locate a trapped person.
It's been a while since I haven't seen you beautiful lady. It's always amazing and inspiring the adventures that you share with us. I haven't done any hiking after I almost broke my ankle last spring, but I am better now and seeing those beautiful views and all the fun that you are having is very inspiring. Dinner looked yummy. That looked potentially painful, your a tuff gal. Going from cold snow to hot springs can sting a lot. I jumped out of a hot tub in -15°f into the snow and that was okay, but I could not get back into the tub . Saw a PCT mount Baden Powell video yesterday and on a road walk there were several car roofs starting to appear from under foot in the snow. You did great getting unstuck .

I Watched that part where u cooked pancakes and honey crisp apples n the background while doing dishes. Ended up rewinding 3 times until I took notes to have to make them.. lol 😆. Live in the NH and two weeks ago I had the heat on. Today I have the AC running......reaching almost 80 degrees. Teaser weather before summer...will be back in the 50's within a few days. Love your video. My offer still stands.

I’ve been trying to get started living in a truck camper and the one thing I think I don’t like the most is every time I hit a bump it’s like an earthquake hit and so when I stop I have to get ready for assessing the damage each time I stop, wether it’s my coffee maker falling off the cabinet or knives flying out of the block, or that can of food I left on the counter or something I tried to hang on whatever , so it’s a learning process and I wonder if the camper is going to last long , every time I hit a bump the whole thing takes a beating and the seals get looser the nuts and bolts the appliances get a beating and throw many times they will endure a speed bump or bad road is up in the air.
